I was in Vegas in 2002 and encountered similar issues trying to watch the US v. Germany with the Asian start times. I'm sure Vegas has evolved in 20 years with the popularity of soccer but we couldn't find a bar and watched in our hotel room. Definitely plan ahead.

Now Spain would be out with a CR goal as they would have 6 pts to Spain's 4. Spain needs to get back ahead to ensure a CR goal doesn't knock them out.
 
I asked a Mexican friend if he was disappointed that they didn't advance and surprisingly, he said no. They didn't field the best team, they were too old and made questionable coaching decisions. He said there are fantastic young players who don't get to the national level because they can't afford to pay (really?--you have to pay to be considered?). And then he said all the positions are well paid so there's corruption to keep coaches/players/admin for longer than they should. FWIW, he's 42 and played at a high level against many former national team players so he should know what he's talking about.
 
I traditionally root for Germany (my dad can trace 100% of his heritage back to there and my last name is VERY German).

But I'm enjoying this utter chaos right now.
 
I still maintain that German don't want to score yet. There's no chance they make up GD on Spain. They need to put the fear of God in Spain - somebody get Oliver Kahn on the phone to call Xavi.

Reminds me of when the Raiders and Chargers played in Week 18 last year. No idea how they didn't collaborate beforehand to both tie.
 
I have a ****ing murder trial next week and I can't focus on anything else but these games. This is nuts.
