The numbers peaked early in the game and then steadily declined as the game wore on. So even less people saw the great ending than the average numbers show. But on the plus side, the great ending likely had a positive effect on people tuning again for game 2. We will see tomorrow.

I have a theory that somehow back in the Braves heyday of the Four Aces, Mike Maddux was hanging around brother Greg, and somehow slept with everyone of Smoltz' side pieces at the time and then his wife. That can be the only reason this commentary butcher job is happening now.
