***Official 2025 Tour de France*** - Come Dope with Us! This Year Prizes!!! (5 Viewers)

Okay, this cleared it up.

“When the group reached the base of Ventoux, Enric Mas, Thymen Arensman and Julian Alaphilippe rode clear. Then Mas attacked solo. Behind, Ben Healy, Valentin Paret-Peintre, Ilan Van Wilder, and Santi Buitrago overtook Arensman and Alaphilippe.

Healy and Paret-Peintre led the charge, chasing down Mas then going clear and trying to attack one another multiple times. In the final kilometer, Mas, Buitrago, and then Van Wilder bridged up.“

I had some meetings and only saw the last little bit. The app didn't show Roglic in any group, and I wondered if he dropped... turns out the app was just wrong. Roglic is somehow going to finish in the top 5 without doing anything of note the whole race.

🚨 Changes to Stage 19 - Albertville - La Plagne

The discovery of an outbreak of contagious nodular dermatitis affecting cattle in a herd located specifically in the Col des Saisies has necessitated the culling of the animals. In light of the distress experienced by the affected farmers and in order to preserve the smooth running of the race, it has been decided, in agreement with the relevant authorities, to modify the route of Stage 19 (Albertville–La Plagne) and to avoid the ascent to the col des Saisies.

🚩 The ceremonial start will take place as planned at the exit of Albertville. After a 7 km parade, riders will head towards the D925, where the official start will be given. The race will then rejoin the original route shortly before Beaufort (at km 52.4 on the original schedule).
Due to this change, which notably bypasses the Col des Saisies, the stage will now cover a total distance of 95 km instead of the originally planned 129,9 km.

🕝 As a result, the start in the neutral zone will be given at 2:30 p.m., one hour later than originally scheduled.

60ish miles. This should be a fun stage.

After Stage 19 ended at ~5:45pm CET, they were still traveling 5 hours later (237 km.)

And the transfer tonight is 352 km.

And they made Stage 21 more challenging as parts of it are from the 2023 Olympics road race (instead of the typical flat processional.)

I hope it works out, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the riders boycott the change and ride it traditionally.

That finish was very meh to me for some reason...

Very meh. It’s like Pogacar has gone corporate and every ride is about protecting yellow from the 0.001% chance of losing it.
Doesn’t care. He won the race a week and a half ago. Why not cruise.

You are correct, I just thought he had more of a greedy mentality. Probably smart to play peloton politics for future payback.
He should have taken it. But yea, be nice I guess. (n)

Crash on the opening neutralized part of the women’s tour. Don’t think it was bad but still not a good look.
Still a boring stage, though I did like that hill right before the sprint, just about 1 km from the finish.

I can't get a good look at Faulkner to see if she's wearing the gold helmet. I hope so - USA champion jersey plus gold helmet would be pretty rad.

Roglic making it to the Champs in one piece is truly the greatest success story in modern cycling, chapeau legend.

Last GT for GT, great career, now you can make some serious bank podcasting.

Rain & cobbles, spring classics WvA activated.

Actually turned out to be a great final stage. Will be interesting to see if they include Côte de la butte Montmartre next year or go back to the boring pancake processional. Seems like there is an obvious answer but I have no faith ASO will get it right.
