Bolts hanging in there. Most impressive
Agreed, just when all signs pointed to a NE blowout, they stand in there, and have to be motivated by where they are at.More Spiroles in the 2nd half would be nice.
Taking FGs instead of TDs with their first 2 scores will come back to haunt them. I think the pats end up covering on this one comfortably. The Pats have had teams hang in there the past month or so and then made the plays to take care of the game. I expect that to happen again.
Points are points, baby. Take what you can get. Pick -- SD ball. Gonna be an interesting second half...
Yes, points are points, but its all about making the most of opportunities. They've had the ball inside the 10 three times and have 9 points to show for those 3 trips inside the 10. Against an offense like New England's, it will come back to bite you in the butt if you don't start putting it into the endzone.

No redzone TDs= no superbowl. Theyve gotta score.
It's not just redzone. They have been inside the 10 3 times and gotten 3 FGs. Hard to believe they will be able to ultimately win this game without an offensive TD...
At least they are putting points up. It's a TWO point ball game in what was supposed to be a blow-out. I understand the concern and frusturation about the lack of red zone TD's, but to write the game off because of it? Still a lot of time left...Re the earlier comments about the NE fans: Yeah, what is up with that? Seems kinda quiet up there...

I'm not a NE fan, I'd love to see SD take this game, but we've seen this before this season.

Whether it was supposed to be blowout or not, I don't believe for a second that you can beat the '08 Pats by just kicking FGs. If SD doesn't get into the endzone they will lose.

Hey, I haven't written the game off. It's just that I'd feel a lot better about it if they had gotten at least one TD on those drives.

I was just thinking . . . this is where Cromartie could have a huge run-back.

Too bad he was 95-yards short, but at least the INT is nice.

Boom..Although..

Defender needs to know to sit there and get the ball out to the 20. Nice INT, but now you have the ball at the 5..

I hear ya -- and point well taken; no disrespect was intended. I'm just glad it's a ball game!End zone pick? Wow!!

Nice pick. Not so smart to run it back though - may have ensured that the Pats will get it back in good field position.

Why do so many guys try to run picks out of the endzone? I know how talented Cromartie is, but he put his offense in a tough spot here.

Haven't read this whole thread, someone else may have said it...

In the pre-game when New England was coming onto the field, you could tell Tom Brady didn't have "it" today, it was in his eyes... they almost looked like he was shaken, or something wasn't right with him. He has made some questionable decisions today and just isn't himself... I don't see how he could have possibly thought he was gonna get that pass past Cromartie.

This may already have been discussed in this thread, but does it look to anyone else like the Chargers RG is rocking back on every play before the snap? Why aren't they calling that?

I know injuries are part of the game, but you can't help but wonder how this game would be going if Gates and Tomlinson were both healthy.
