Maybe they are trying to imitate the Giants of 1990, 5Fgs to win against the Niners
Yes, points are points, but its all about making the most of opportunities. They've had the ball inside the 10 three times and have 9 points to show for those 3 trips inside the 10. Against an offense like New England's, it will come back to bite you in the butt if you don't start putting it into the endzone.Points are points, baby. Take what you can get. Pick -- SD ball. Gonna be an interesting second half...Taking FGs instead of TDs with their first 2 scores will come back to haunt them. I think the pats end up covering on this one comfortably. The Pats have had teams hang in there the past month or so and then made the plays to take care of the game. I expect that to happen again.Agreed, just when all signs pointed to a NE blowout, they stand in there, and have to be motivated by where they are at.More Spiroles in the 2nd half would be nice.Bolts hanging in there. Most impressive
Nice reference.Maybe they are trying to imitate the Giants of 1990, 5Fgs to win against the Niners
I'll pretend I didn't hear that.Maybe they are trying to imitate the Giants of 1990, 5Fgs to win against the Niners
At least they are putting points up. It's a TWO point ball game in what was supposed to be a blow-out. I understand the concern and frusturation about the lack of red zone TD's, but to write the game off because of it? Still a lot of time left...Re the earlier comments about the NE fans: Yeah, what is up with that? Seems kinda quiet up there...It's not just redzone. They have been inside the 10 3 times and gotten 3 FGs. Hard to believe they will be able to ultimately win this game without an offensive TD...No redzone TDs= no superbowl. Theyve gotta score.
I'm not a NE fan, I'd love to see SD take this game, but we've seen this before this season. At least they are putting points up. It's a TWO point ball game in what was supposed to be a blow-out. Whether it was supposed to be blowout or not, I don't believe for a second that you can beat the '08 Pats by just kicking FGs. If SD doesn't get into the endzone they will lose.At least they are putting points up. It's a TWO point ball game in what was supposed to be a blow-out. Hey, I haven't written the game off. It's just that I'd feel a lot better about it if they had gotten at least one TD on those drives. At least they are putting points up. Good place for another pick.

I thought so too. Looked to me like the ball came down at least half a yard short.Pretty favorable spot there.
Excuse me, I have to go buy a lottery ticket.Good place for another pick.![]()
They always think they can score. It's ridiculous.Wow, critical pick! Why do those idiots always run out of the end zone?
They watch too much SportsCenter.Wow, critical pick!

I hear ya -- and point well taken; no disrespect was intended. I'm just glad it's a ball game!End zone pick? Wow!!Hey, I haven't written the game off. The way the SD offense has converting, it may have been SD's only chance at a TD.Wow, critical pick! Why do those idiots always run out of the end zone?
I wouldn't have even typed that. I'd already be at the store.Excuse me, I have to go buy a lottery ticket.Good place for another pick.![]()
Given the Patriots luck, I was half expecting him to get stripped of the ball and for New England to recover it.I was just thinking . . . this is where Cromartie could have a huge run-back.Too bad he was 95-yards short, but at least the INT is nice.

I'm always Why do so many guys try to run picks out of the endzone? I know how talented Cromartie is, but he put his offense in a tough spot here.I was just thinking . . . this is where Cromartie could have a huge run-back.Too bad he was 95-yards short, but at least the INT is nice.
Worth a shot though at the big return.Nice pick. Not so smart to run it back though - may have ensured that the Pats will get it back in good field position.
Cromartie should always try to run it out. I guarantee you that's how he's coached. He's 50-50 to score, so it's worth a shot. They always think they can score. It's ridiculous.Wow, critical pick!

He needs a series or two off. Let him think about things.
