Any thoughts on Vargas today? They have lost 5 in a row and are facing Ramirez from triple A 5.71 ERA

Vargas is 6/7 at home this year. I think the suspension on Prince has been lifted. I am thinking of hitting Mil hard today. I may even go with the runline. What do you guys think.

Todays Plays:

Phils - 3 Units: The Phils have DOMINATED the Bucs so far this year, going a perfect 4-0. I don't see anything changing in tonights matchup

Indians - 2 Units: I'm beating this horse till it's dead. Won some money off of the Tribe last night, and I'm going with them again tonight. The Tribe is 7-1 against TB, and I like them winning their 8th tonight.

O's/Jays OVER 9.5 - 2 Units:

Tailing the Beave here as he is due to bounce back after his Padre loss last night. :cool:

I like Oswalt quite a bit tonight. He's going great right now, and man did he look good against the Dodgers. Because of Houston's woeful road record, and the Padres being in a pennant race, I think we are getting decent value on him. Yet I don't think any of the aforementioned matters much to Oswalt, and the Pads sure are poor offensively. I think he can shut them down.

Oh, I also like the Dodgers again, just wish I had more to go on with Morales. Regardless, it seems their bats finally woke up, and Billingsley's been pretty good. While this year's advantage is only slight, they have typically owned the Rockies.

Finally, Boof Bonser sure looks high to me, so I'll go the other way.

Obviously I am really counting on Cinn. Right after I placed those bets Cinn went to -105 on betjamaica. I hear other people getting them as a dog.

 
+2.6 yesterday, missing a huge day with that super complusive 14 inning Dodgers loss. Darn.

Took the LARGE dog Rangers for the hell of it...1 unit.

Under in the TB/Cle game for a unit.

Dodgers to win 3 units.

And I'll likely to the dog in the night game (STL). We'll see how I fare in these earlier ones...

I came out ahead today but not by much. Losing by 1/2 run with the Az game hurts. There were 8 runs in the 6th and I thought there would be at least one more. Oh well.Not sure about tonight yet. I may just stay away from it.
 
Oak +130: R U kidding me - That is a great price on Blanton - I know Marcum has been HOT but his peripherials tell me that his ERA and hit rate are unsustainable. I may be getting sucked in here but I don't think so.

MIL/Az O9 -115; Mil can mash, great hitters park, D. Davis Nothing special and gallardo rocked last couple of times out.

I will probably be with you on the O9 in the Az game. I watch all their games and D Davis has picked it up as of late. He is not the same pitcher he was early in the season.

Yeah, I don't like that Mil bet either. They are choking, big-time...and Az is rolling right now. I watched Davis pitched of late and echo the sentiment above. I hope I'm wrong, as I'm watching my season win total bet on the Brewers go down to the wire now, but I'd be careful on that one. I like Az a bit, if anything.

However....since cashing out....went from up almost double digit units...to down 4 units :drive: :shrug:

Really like both of these plays...but I'm on my way out the door so no time for write up :smile:

 
Y'all can feel free to fade the Dbacks heavily tonight. I'll be in attendance tonight (daughter won some tickets at school), and they have a tendency to lose when I'm there. :D

It seems my small plays never hit, but the 5 big ones I've had this year (5,7,8,9,10 units) all hit. Usually it's the opposite, makes no sense. And even with my awful record, I'm still up on the year by quite a bit actually. :thumbup:

Man, I got lucky, woulda put 3 units on Tampa. I am VERY sorry if anyone actually tailed me there, that sucks.

That was going to be my only play, but I've reconsidered. 2 units on the D-backs.

Yes this definitely was. 2nd in two days for me (had o8.5 +100 on the braves on sunday - was 6-2 after 4 there as well).

Holy crap, I had this one in the bag before I got comfy in my seat! :o :lol: By the time we got there, got hotdogs, and got to our seats (I think my nose has finally stopped bleeding), Hall was up to bat, with runners at first and third and two out. I think there were one or two more pitches after we sat down, then :jack:, homerun, 3-0, game over. :shock: I couldn't remember what the over was, so once it got to 9-0, I started rooting for either team to score one more for y'all, just in case there was a hook in there somewhere. :D Man, Davis was getting ripped left and right. I think he threw the rosin bag one time, and it was still jacked to the warning track in straightaway center. :lmao: He gave up a homer to the opposing pitcher. :o , who also had a 2ft (that's two feet, ie 24inches) ground out. lol

All in all, a good night out at the ballpark. I guess I'm not used to the nosebleed seats (I usually sit out in right field), so my depth perception was off a few times. I'd think someone hit one deep into the gap, only to have it caught further over than where I thought it was going. lol

Next wager for y'all: I may be in attendance at the Cardinals-Chargers (that's football, for you baseball purists :D ) game on Saturday (having kids in school is a good thing, no? lol). Now, I hate the Cardinals, and 'meh' the Chargers, so I'm not sure how my attendance jinx will work. :IBTL:

Braves - 2 Units: Braves just have too much on the line to lose this one. Texeira is unconscious right now, and I like the Bravos to stomp the Reds.

Phils - 2 Units: Tomko is 2-8 for the year, and has allowed 11 runs his last 16 innings of work. I don't trust the Dodger offense right now.

Mets - 2 Units: 3 of Youngs 4 losses this season have come on the road. The Mets have Maine on the mound who is due for a good outing.

alright......two small parlays trying to mix stuff up here (definite fade material)

Chisox -1.5 +140

I like the SP advantage I have in the Tribe/Tigers game, and think that will be enough for the win. White Sox are welcoming the Royals tonight....and Vasquez has been good this year, an era around 3.7. Royals are throwing out a converted reliever, making his 5th major league start, and had a thumb problem his last outing. Good enough for me to lay the rl here.

Atlanta -109

o7.5 NYM/SD +105

Atlanta is simply a lot better than Cincinnati right now. Neither team is running a stud out there, so I'm going to just take the better team. Maine hasn't been real sharp for the Mets of late, and Chris Young is a different pitcher on the road. Maine has barely been able to make it to the 6th inning and I expect a few strong innings, and then a weak one or two. Young's road ERA is 3.30 (about 3x what it is at home) so a 7.5 total should be very doable here.
