God, I could probably listen to him do an uninterrupted triple-header.
You mean in baseball, right? :suds: Yeah, he's a great one. I grew up with him on the radio every night. The Codgers were the only baseball in town back then for those of us in the Phoenix area. I think they had a lot of the Saturday games that were aired here as well, with Vin at the mike. :toilet:

I've gotten away from baseball over the past 15-20 years. They took away the Saturday games on tv (but they're back now, right?), and then the Dbacks were born and seeing any other team on tv is virtually impossible. I'll still wear my blues to the games when they're in town, but that's becoming rarer and rarer for me.

Sorta liking the Under 8 +100 in the STL/SFO tilt. Both SP have looked crisp to start the year while the offenses have seemed to struggle. No Bonds in the lineup either.
Punched.Cards/Giants UNDER 8 +100

Trying to talk my business partner into a double play on Hill tonight. I'm gonna need this total to hit before he signs off....so GO THE PITCHERS!!!!
Ugh. 4 freaking errors in 4 innings? Are they playing without gloves today?

Vin Scully just informed me that runs are down 17% YTD (MLB)...added that it's mostly due to weather...God, I could probably listen to him do an uninterrupted triple-header.
 my favorite thing about having the MLB package last year was listening to Vin. I almost got it again this year just for that reason.I never knew before that he did the whole game by himself. pretty cool.
You know, he had prostate cancer a few years back. Kept it private so as not to make some big deal. Typical. He exudes class in every way. Who will take his place ya think? He won't be around forever and you are going to deny that boy of yours this treasure? Shame on you, friend.

two boys. yeah, you're right. i need to get the package. If the syndicate can get up over 4 digits, I'll buy the package.

Tampa Bay Devil Rays +171

This is more a play against the Indians, who must still be in shock after blowing that game & the whole series vs the yanks.

Dang my hot streak has gone cold fast.

Yesterday I went 0/3/1

YTD 21/18/2

parlay 5/6

units +17

I may take today off to regroup.

Somehow, we managed to go 3-0-1 yesterday. Not bad considering some of the tough breaks we've had.

Anyone see a total on the Cubs/STL game? I lean under anything 8 or higher, but total isn't out at our book.

Gm - everytime I see your sig I end up clicking on the second link in your sig - OMG!

Why do you like the under this afternoon? I was thinking the other way as I truly don't believe either starter is as good as they have shown thus far but the Cards pretty much suck offensively.

Not only has Pujols been struggling this month, but he also had a pretty miserable go at it in Wrigley last year. As he goes, the Cards go. Once he heats up, the team will start winning again as the pitching has been good from SP to BP. But right now, I just don't think they are coming through and I don't think Lilly is going to blow up out there. On the other side, the Cubs offense isn't much better, though I do like what The Riot and Pie have been offering. Loopers K/BB worries me, but I can see this one being a low scoring affair.

Thanks for the thoughts and GLuck. I am going to take the pass option.

Four Chase Plays starting tonight:

I have played each for one unit each:

Washington +145

CWS +102

TB +170

OAK +100

GLTA

Updated Record:

Parlays 1-1 +11.5 units

YTD:

Totals 13-16-3 -4.30 units

Sides 15-12 +5.09 units

Chase Plays (Which are not part of the above):

9-5 +7.52 units

Bos -110

Az +104 ****Homer bet**** :homer: ****

I did not put much thought into these but I will take all the credit if they hit.

:goodposting:

RL Parlay:

Florida (Olsen)/Nats(Hill)+125

SD (Young)/Rockies(Fogg)+145

risk 1 to win 4.4

ytd -6.4 :X

Early game is a fade on the Nationals, who even though they've been playing better, we'll they are the Nationals. I've liked the Fish all year, and I like them in this spot here. Olsen was awful his last start, I expect him to rebound strongly here.

In the later game, I see C. Young is pitching for the Padres, and well, they named a pitching award after him, so he's pretty good. That, and Josh Fogg sucks. Rockies bats have been quite of late, I expect them to stay that way tonight.

g'luck

adding:

ATL -108 - HUGE edge in starting pitching in this one

SD/COL O 9.5 - 120 - after three straight unders, time to go back over in Coors field

Min/KC O 10.5 +100 - neither pitcher in the top in sagarin ratings

GLTA

0-3 last night for -471 for a real kick in the family jewels.

Friday Picks (alot)

5u on FLA -150

LA-A -138

2u on STL +122

CIN -126

1u on DET -107

CLE -169

TEX -115

BOS -111

KC -101

ATL -105

MIL -164

I know too many but have to work my system? Bad odds on some too!

We love the Red Sox tonight. Yankees have been getting it done by wearing out starting pitching and getting into shaky bullpens. Don't think that is going to have as much effect tonight. Schilling -111 is a nice number, real nice, but Im a homer.

Added a total:

o8.5 NYM/Atlanta -110

risk 2.2 to win 2

I know Hudson's been pitching well, but with these two offenses, this should be a 9.5 game. Weather should not be an issue, both teams will score this series.

g'luck

TB +135 risking 1.5 units: (Chase game #2)

Was/Fla Over 9.5 +100

SD/COl Over 10.5 +100

Oak/Texas Over 10 -120

Seattle +140 ( I lean this way but have not played it yet)

GLTA

Yahweh bless Shawn Green hitting a meaningless two run homer with two outs in the ninth last night to give me the over.

I look at day baseball and my initial leans were Chuck James and the Braves and Zack Greinke and the Royals. Two young lefties who have been throwing it well and are getting juice.

BUT

I have been ice cold of late, so I've decided to mix it up a little. I've decided to hit the following:

NYM (Perez)-1.5/Atlanta (James) +140

Minnesota (Boof)-1.5/Kansas City (Greinke)+155

risk 1 to win 5.1

We'll call this the guru fade parlay system and see how it works for a few games.

I also saw something I liked at night, so I punched it now

Baltimore (Loewen)/Toronto (Towers) o9.5

risk 3.3 to win 3

my numbers indicate this is a solid over.

ytd -5.4 :fishing:

Greinke is a righty. :lmao:

Greinke is a righty. :lmao: :lmao:
Even better for the anti guru parlay fade system, as I handicapped the game based on him throwing with his weak arm :mellow:Anyone know how the weather in Wrigley is today? You have to understand that genius in handicapping very often takes into account variables that laymen do not determine as significant.

Gambler system with 5 whopping units on FLA...
Done with that chasing crap and won'y play nuttin' over -120.New rule for me. Until I change my mind?I knew not to chase but had a mentally weak few days. Even with the dumb bets up 357 on $100 units and never tried baseball.

yesterday won a nice parlay, blew back most of it on my total. Right now I only have one parlay running:

Houston (Oswalt)@ Milwaukee (Bush) -130

Cleveland(Westbrook)@TB(Shields)-110

risk 1.5 to win 3.5

ytd -3.6

g'luck

One I like today is Detroit-Chicago OVER 8.5 -110. They put 12 on the board yesterday. Tigers can definately get to Garland and Verlander is not going 9 for Detroit. Once into the Detroit bullpen, the floodgates have been opening. Both of these teams are capable of scoring runs so I like the over today.

There is one total I like today, but I'm having a hard time betting it.

I have o10.5 in the Minnesota/KC game

What I see is a total that soars over....but this means I'm going to have to count on KC to score some......may hit it still....still...think....ing...

Adding in the rest of our playsAtlanta (Smoltz) +110

Toronto-Baltimore OVER 9.5 -120

Anaheim Run Line -1.5 +145- Santana much better pitcher at home and Weaver has just been hideous period.

4 for ####### 4. Nice work. :2cents:

Are the Yankees good value tonight?
I know a lot of people like the Yanks tonight but I don't really see it. Their pitcher doesn't have a whole lot of major league experience and now he has the pressure of avoiding a sweep on national televesion on the road.Daisuske has looked pretty sharp, he just hasn't got any run support.

I think the Sox are on their way to a sweep myself and think they can win this pretty easily.

We are taking the Red Sox on the RunLine -1.5 +110.
