Chasing a dream:
Pirates-Reds Over 9.5 (-115)
I'm sure the odds are against me that the heavy bats will continue, but a medicore pitcher + a lousy pitcher + a home team desparate to avoid a sweep will hopefully = double digit runs.

I lean to AZ and STL but can't pull the trigger on either...
I also parlayed NYY/Bos/Det - 1 unit pays three. I think you are getting the better starter as well as the better team ( clearly with NYY and DET more than Bos over CLE) at reasonable odds.

I just called JTC to tell him I wanted to add this one to our very light card today. Was happy to get Over 9 +100 on this one. Good luck to us!Also put in another RR Parlay today, but for very little money. This was a tough day to find games we liked. So we went very light on this one...

Yeah the Brewers total moved to the under very late. Sun is definitely a concern early, although Chuck James is usually decent the first time through the order (and he barely got by so far after 2 innings). This went from o9 -115 to o9 +105 at bodog from just noon to first pitch today. I'm in on the wrong price on this total.

I'm going to tail prosopis here with o9.5 in AZ/Philly game
AZ is hitting like .350 in their last 8 games or something. Both starting pitchers are very hittable. Even though Owings only allowed one run last start, it was the Astros and he gave up 9 hits. The start before that I think he gave up like 7 runs in 3 2/3's against the Pirates (don't quote me on that, I'm going by memory here)
Phillies lineup is much more potent with Howard in there. I think both team get lots of hits tonight. Whether or not they can string a few of them together to make lots of runs, well, I'm on the over so I hope yes.

Really like the Rockies tonight. They are playing some good baseball right now, winners of 6 in a row and they catch St Louis in a stretch where they dropped 3 of 4 at home to the Nationals. Small price -102 on a team that is coming through right now.General Malaise said:

Agreed. I also think the u9 is worth a look. There is some question with Lopez coming off the DL but Looper has been solid. Neither offense is that great. 9 seems a shade high.

Like Milwaukee this afternoon as a dog at +118. Hudson has been rocked his last two so he is back to reality a bit. Braves are still in a funk as far as I am concerned so them being road favorites is wrong to me. Milwaukee is 18-8 at home this season, think they take the rubber match here.

I read somewhere that home dogs this year are + money across the board, so any extra reasons should make for a good play.
I agree...but if the Braves are in a funk....what are the Brewers in??? They are like 4-13 in their last 17.
And Dave Bush has been absolutely dreadful this season.
I'm laying off the side.....but still look at OVER in this one.

True but the Brewers are at home where they are 18-8 on the season. They got off the schnide yesterday beating Smoltz. Still think its a good play but I can see why people might disagree.

I also noticed that the NYY line is climbing higher presenting good value on Toronto. I saw Tor +145 at Betus just a couple of minutes ago. If that line goes much higher I may need to add that play to the card.

I'm going to pass the total on this game....but to me, I think you're getting a good price on Hudson if you are backing the Braves. I can't play Milwaukee right now, as they have been bad lately, and even their win last night...they beat the Braves bullpen, not the starter. If memory serves, Miller Park has some funky shadows that hit between 1st base and the mound during day games which can mess up hitters pretty good. I wasn't diligent enough to research the weather and shadow issue this morning, because I have a little work to do. Looking at under 9 in the Minn/ChiSox game......we'll see if my book makes it worth my while
