Official Bishop Sankey - Best RB in the 2014 Draft (2 Viewers)

Greene is playing well, unusually.

He's made some move your legs keep driving get extra yards type runs that coaches love.

I bet Sankey gets carries in second half. He's been in there

Wiz can't get out of Wiz's way right now. I don't think you can pin this on Sankey. They inexplicably abandoned the run and didn't incorporate Delanie for the majority of the game. A complete mess of a team and so you have to bench the Sank going forward until it's figured out IF it ever happens.

Yeah, I can't really figure out what Wiz was thinking. Usually a big lead = running game/clock control. I expected Sankey to be out there grinding it out the rest of the game. Never happened.

When a team that's down over 3 TDs has more rushing attempts than the team that was up. You got big problems. What a #######. Hope Wiz gets fired sooner than later.

There was never a better situation for him to get carries and at the time "garbage points" because they had this game wrapped up. A total coaching collapse. Problem is, you seriously can't trust anything that happens going forward.

True

Again though, Greene quietly played well and showed some effort I haven't seen since NYJ.

They should have run him into the ground in the 2nd half no doubt, but Greene was literally fighting for 3 extra yards each carry and totally deserving of staying "the man" today.

Sankey was often in on passing downs-a number of times he didn't run for a screen nor pick someone up. He was still and he's gonna hear it for that.

Two weeks ago his footwork stunk, last week it was praised, apparently the rook is learning something else now. Stinks for FF but I like that I can see him learning and progressing well

The Titans lost because Sankey's footwork wasn't good enough. Good time to buy low, or look for him to be dropped.
I'm optimistic because I read a report that he'll be watching 'Singing in the Rain' all week after practice.

I have no choice but to roll the dice with Sankey this week. Maybe a date with Jax is all he needs to have that breakout performance. Anyone else rolling with him this week?

I too have no choice. I have Charles on bye, R. Jennings is hurt and missed out on waiver claims on Oliver/Hillman.

So basically I have Ellington as my RB1 and then deciding between Sankey and Storm Johnson. I think Sankey is the easy choice there for at least this week.

~ 20 touches maybe for Sankey vs Jax ??? One time!

Shonn Greene (hamstring) was downgraded to "DNP" on Thursday, and is "uncertain" for Week 6.

It's sounding like Greene will be unavailable against the Jaguars, leaving rookie Bishop Sankey as the Titans' lead back. That's not for certain, however. The Titans adore their plodding "lead" back, and could give him the green light for Week 6 if he looks good on Friday. Sankey owners need to sit tight, but remain cautiously optimistic

I'm basically holding onto Sankey as a lottery ticket, RB5 in one re-draft league with a short bench instead of a QB2. I figure all the pieces are in place for a breakout. It's just gotta happen, right? Well, if Greene sits and Sankey can't breakout against the Jags, I will be finding a use for that roster spot I can assure you of that.

Week 6 is the week Murray broke out after Felix Jones got hurt.

Just sayin'...

Looking for a lottery ticket, do I drop Sankey for Odell Beckham? Posting this in both topics to get reactions from fans of both players lol

Bah, cut him this morning. I've whiffed on just about every free agent this season so I fully expect Sankey to blow up.

This is the "final straw" week for Sankey as far as I'm concerned.

All signs are in his favor... backup QB under center, aging RB likely out, bad rush D.

If he doesn't get 20ish touches - and convert into 100+ total yards - this guy may be a bust. This coming from a supporter of his (albeit not to Brewtown levels).

That all said, I'm benching him in favor of Forte, Tate and AWilliams this week.... just think they have a higher floor with similar upside in standard formats.

final straw 5 games into his career?

I think what he means is that we are already 40%ish into the FF schedule and Sankey is either being limited by his coach or is just plain limited. How many weeks will you allow your lineup to be deficient by his lack of production either way? At some point, you have to go in another direction by benching outright or cutting him to allow for someone else with upside to at least allow for some optimism.

I agree with nirad3, if Greene does not play and he doesn't produce or is again limited by Wiz, he's gone from my FF team. He may turn out fine in his career but this FF season is short and every week counts.

I'm with nirad3, and I don't think it is a slam on Sankey so much as it is on Wisenhunt. The whole situation reminds me of Arians and Ellington last year. Wisenhunt not committing to Sankey this week especially if Greene is out only solidifies it.

Rotoworld:

Titans.com's Joe Fann expects Bishop Sankey to "assume a majority of carries" with Shonn Greene (hamstring, doubtful) not expected to play in Week 6.

Fann also expects the Titans to use "plenty of" passing-down back Dexter McCluster. To this point, second-round pick Sankey has not handled more than ten carries in any of the 1-4 Titans' first five games, despite averaging 4.69 YPC. We suspect he will land in the range of 12-17 carries against the Jaguars.

Man, I started "Skankey" last week and got burned. This week, I have a slot available for him vs. Alfred Morris. I don't like Morris vs. a stingy Cardinals defense. But if Cards are down to Logan Thomas, could that be a game where they slog it out with Redskins staying in the game and giving Morris 20+ carries for a change. I'd like to believe in Sankey this week but am scared...

Good/better news for Sankey, especially considering the Jags have given up the 2nd most RB points this year. I'm currently torn between starting him or Sanu in a PPR, but if Greene is officially ruled out, I might roll with the former.

Not sure if this has been posted, but looks like Greene did not practice on Friday either. From rotoworld:

Shonn Greene (hamstring) missed practice again on Friday and is listed as doubtful for Week 6.
Limited Wednesday, Greene was downgraded to "DNP" on both Thursday and Friday. He's not going to play Sunday against Jacksonville. Despite Bishop Sankey's disappointing Week 5 usage, he will presumably take over as the Titans' lead back in a favorable matchup with Greene on the shelf. Dexter McCluster and Leon Washington would mix in as change-of-pace/passing-down backs. Oct 10 - 1:13 PM

This is the week. At least all signs point to it. Greene likely out and playing the Jags.

I'm playing him with optimism, not to be confused with confidence.
