Thanks for posting this. I’m looking hard at the 75” model. I’m intrigued but I think I may wait until closer to BF to see if a better deal on this class/size of TV pops up.

The last one I bought I got from Amazon Warehouse Deals for $379. But anywhere under $550 is a bargain on this machine.  They were about $900 when I bought my first one.

$510 at amazon. Pretty close to pulling the trigger.  Who knows, another bloody mary this morning and I might be there????

Is it weird that everytime I read your responses I read them as if it’s actually Ron Swanson responding?  It just adds to your clout as a poster.  ?

Bass Pro shops has a 12pc. Wustoff set for 149. Amazon has it 179

Wustoff is a very good brand, but this is their Gourmet (value) line. You are getting German made knives for a very good value, but they are not professional level.

You can do 90% + of all your cutting with three knives: chef, boning and paring. I highly recommend the two linked for quality/value combo.

For the chef knife- a ton will be on sale for xmas and there are tons of good ones. I'd recommend 8".  SHope the sales

It can reduce viewing when sitting off to the side but you get a wonderful wrap around viewing angle when sitting straight on.  Playing video games, it's great.  It's really a preference thing

I bought a Jura A9 about a month ago.  This thing is pretty solid.  A bit more expensive than the Delonghi's that I was looking at (but I bought it when it was on sale at Costco).  Love the self-cleaning that it does -- although it leads to refilling the water reservoir pretty frequently -- and the reminders when I need to check the grounds tray, etc.

Replaced a Saeco Vienna Plus.

The actual razor doesn't matter, but its the blades that make the difference.  I use Astra Platinum Double Edge Safety Razor Blades and they last about 4 shaves.  Id recommend getting a good brush made of badger hair and for after shave use an alum block and proraso after shave lotion.

My wife is wanting to get a 75" TV for the living room.  I am hesitant to go back to Samsung because that is the model we have now and it just starts turning off and back on randomly.  It drives us crazy so now we don't even bother to use that TV.  I am not sure why it is doing that, but my wife tells me it has been doing that for a while.

I did exhaustive searches on how to fix the problem (one that apparently Samsung won't admit to) and find a lot of people with the problem, but none of the "fixes" work.  I like Samsung, but I don't want my wife buying a TV if it is going to start doing the same thing as this one.  

Still, I'm not sure what other brands out there are even worth it.  I guess if we find the right BF deal, anything would be fair game.

 
Looking for decent noise cancelling headphones for around 100...don`t use them that much so do not want to pony up 2-300 bucks.

 
My wife, who is cheap and never wants anything, wants a “nice” mixer. I don’t know anything about this stuff, but I want to handle it. Anyone know anything?

Expensive is OK, but she’s the type that it would be a positive if I got a good deal also.

I use the same blades too. I find that they are a great shave for me. Others may prefer different blades based on their beards and skin. I switch out blades twice a week but it doesn't matter when they are so inexpensive. I can't imagine switching to a different razor or shave.

My current Samsung is fine but I’m not over the moon about it. But the interface on Sonys is supposed to be awful, and I won’t buy a Vizio after they got caught secretly capturing data on their owners a couple years ago. So there aren’t a ton of options remaining. I’d probably get the TCl 6 series if they made a 75” version.

That's some high end stuff. Why? Most chefs I know do not use that caliber for production work, which is 90% of what they do. 

Don't get me wrong, I love knives, but are you looking for curb appeal or production?

How much is your production going to be?  The ones I recommended above can handle 30+ hrs a week and a life of at least three years, maybe 10 and maybe pass them on to your grandkids. 

A Henkels twin four star knife is really really good.  A classic You can get better, but do you really want to spend up to almost unlimited money to do so? As above I recommend getting the parring and boning knife listed above. I've literally put thousand of hours on them with zero complains.  For you chef and sanoktu knife, go crazy. Look for sur la table sales over Xmas get Shun, Damascus our whatever. The chefs knife should do 50% of your business, lay your big money down there. If you want to go ahead and get bread knives, utility knives our and of the other block filler knives, Forschner and Dexter made good, low priced stuff.

A bit of both really, I was really close to going with a full custom handmade from Meglio but it wound up too pricey. I want an awesome looking knife that will last forever, which is why I'm leaning damascus.

On Prime Day, we bought a Deebot and inlaws bought a Roomba.

Based on our experience and theirs, they bought Deebots for their other kids.  It synchs well with Alexa, might with Google as well.

Eufy Robovacs are the current recommendation from Wirecutter, whose recommendations I trust.

 
Verizon FiOS is offering a roll back on pricing for existing customers if the re-up for two years.  No detailed yet, but I signed up for information when it's released.  I know, I know....I still have cable.  Shove it, millennials....I'm not holding out much hope on a blockbuster deal, but $10-20 a month is $10-20 bucks a month 

My wife and I just paid of out 1st Gen Pixels.  Been extremely happy with them.  Keeping an eye out for deals on a Pixel 3.

Depends if you want the big daddy ones or something more reasonable.

I have a pretty cheap Ninja that is awesome. My sister has the more duped up ninja loves it.  But people swear by those more expensive things too.

Ive been happy with ninja though and there seem to be deals out there in their stuff.

I know Ninjas are one of the top brands and will pulverize ice with no problem. I don't know if there's a cheaper alternative of similar quality. But Amazon usually has a good deal around the holidays on Ninjas. Got them on my watch list.

We've had ours for 5+ years and have used it at least one time a day since having it.  

From what I hear, if you just need it for Smoothies then the ninja is a pretty good option for the money.
