****Official Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Online deals thread**** (1 Viewer)

Oddly enough, I had an iPad Mini that I didn't use much and also was prone to crashing. Just traded it for a laptop that has issues connecting to wifi, but otherwise works.
The kindle is pretty nice so far. It can actually get through a level of Candy Crush without crashing, so it's already ahead of the old ipad. I need to figure out the best way to text with it.

Amazon had a 50" TV for 145, wait list full.  I don't need another TV, but if they get any cheaper I'm putting a TV in my garage.

Magnatiles (there are several brands), razar scooter.

Therapy putty (larger quantity of silly putty), flashlights, paper airplane kits (the ones that you slide the wings, tail and put nose on) make good stocking stuffers

I got an Amazon alert saying deals starting every 5min.  I click the link k and it takes me to a lost of daily deals that have been up all day.  I guess they just want us mindlessly scrolling through the same crap all day.  The 1 phenomenal TV deal I saw had a wait list by the time I saw it, and didn't even show up on the "upcoming deals"

Therapy putty.

I really want to pull the trigger on one of these Amazon Dash buttons.  I dig the concept....Run out of something, hit the button, its at your doorstep in two days.  I have a CVS and a Rite-Aid 5 minutes from my house, though.  If I run out of garbage bags or laundry detergent, I can hop in my car and have it right now. particularly garbage bags, where you don't know you've pulle the last one out until you've done it.

I've been browsing through the different buttons, but nothing really seems to strike me as really efficient.  Can someone sell me on one?

Bought a set of these for an affordable setup for the basement:

Pioneer SP-PK52FS Andrew Jones 5.1 HT Speakers

At $439.....best set of speakers under $1000.

The SW is the weak link being a bit under powered.  If you like you can get close to the same price today (just $10 savings on package) individually, then you can delete the subwoofer at $99. Note that the front speakers (SP-FS52) are sold individually and the rear speakers (SP-BS22-LR) are sold as a pair.  It will cost you about $200-300 for a decent Subwoofer to upgrade, so if you have a smallish room you may be OK going sticking with the one in the package.

BB has Google Pixels for $200 with Verizon contract. Sucks that there's no project fi equivalent, but a good deal if you do contracts.

Agreed.  This was the case last year too.   Unless you have nothing better to do than scroll through tons of crap it is very difficult to find deals on the stuff you want.

Booked a 5-night stay at a Puerto Vallarta AI for late January via bookit.com.

This morning I saw that travelocity was issuing Hotel coupons at the top of every hour for varying discounts.  I missed out on the 59% off coupon earlier this morning. There is a limited quantity and they sell out within about 30 seconds each time.

Just nailed the 75% coupon ($500 max discount) and got $500 off the price that I booked a month ago (minus $25pp cancellation fee at the other site).

i'm looking through Amazon for a good laptop, anywhere else i should check out or any real good deals floating around? looking for a normal usage, and have found 1 or 2 on Amazon, but hate if i grab it and find a better deal a few minutes later

New Egg might have some decent laptop deals

Blinq and Ebay might have deals.

What did you end up for a price all in?

Looking at Bluetooth speakers for an Xmas present. The reviews I've seen have the JBL Charge 2+ and the UE Boom 2 tops around the ~$100 price point, and both are currently on sale at Amazon ($79-$88 for any color but black on the Charge 2+ and $129 for pretty much any color of UE Boom 2). Does anyone have personal experience with these that can chime in? I have a JBL Bluetooth in my lab at work and it rocks, so I'm leaning towards the Charge 2+ since I've had great experience with JBL speakers and it's got a lower price tag. Assuming I go with one of these, are there other sites that have it cheaper? Or are there other models I should consider?

I have the TDK A34 and like it alot.  Haven't used the UE or JBL so I can't make any comparison myself, but when i was researching these, the TDK was viewed favorably over UE and others.

My daughter wants a Chromebook.  Is this just basically a scaled down laptop?  I mean if I get her a laptop is she going to be disappointed?  Do chromebooks do anything that can't be done on a laptop?

Don't think so, unless she just wants quicker access to all the Google apps. She might just want it for a lightweight option, so if you get her a laptop of comparable weight/size that could be fine.

I have one arriving today. Just needed something light to have around the house when I want to do a bit more than what would be optimal for (old, slow) iPad/phone use.

I'd guess 95% of the marbles get lost by Jan 1st

I had the Charge and gave it to my in-laws and bought the UE. Charge sounded clearer but max volume was about 1/2 of the UE. I use the speaker outside a lot so needed more sound. I LOVE the UE.

To give you a reference, I was power washing my deck and couldn't hear the charge 2 over the power washer.

My 11 year old son is looking for a gaming pc or gaming computer.  Not sure if I should buy a bundle or if I should buy components separately.  I'm also not really all that PC literate when it comes to these types of things.

Any gaming guys willing to recommend some deals for me?

Not looking to spend an arm and a leg...he's basically going to be using it to play minecraft, rocket league, etc..

Thanks in advance!
