You don't have to get the huge piles of money to play this game. Sure, you may not get the weapons but that doesn't mean you can't play it and beat it.Man, these amounts you all are throwing out here are hurting my head. I really need to get on it I guess. I just hope it doesn't become a "chore" for me in the game.
Thanks. At least today wasn't a total waste. I got a key.Next new codes 6pm central. Good for about 2 hours.WinPC: 5TW33-SRZFH-63J33-BJ3TJ-FXF9F PS3: KJCBT-3WCZT-FH3CT-S3CBJ-W3FT6 X360: KTKJT-Z3K5F-BR63X-K63T3-BBK66
In your mission log window, sort by the missions so that you can easily see the difficulty level. If you are having problems always choose the mission that has the lowest level requirement. The game is designed such that if you do every mission, you will always have easy choices to make as the game moves on. I have not done a mission with in two levels of my level since I hit level 12 I think.Well, I checked my backpack. I had 24 slots total. So, after selling a bunch of extra weapons, I had 18 free slots. So, gathered and sold some stuff, completed a few Highlands missions, turned them in, sitting at over $22k pretty quickly. Was feeling good about all that. Then I decided to do some Sanctuary missions. Which took me to Sanctuary Hole. Which took me to the Caustic Caverns. And all that money went right back to the machine that you pay when you die. I loathe that area. Just a crappy setup for a level 20 sniper character. My weapons are effective, the big crystal creatures were no problem. But all I wanted to do was get the four tapes and get out of there and I died time after time. I just keep getting overwhelmed by the worm things. So all my money gathering efforts were wasted. I would have been better off going in with no cash, just so I had nothing for the machine to take. I only have two of the four tapes, and didn't get the safe. I may just bail on that area and go back later. Right now, I'm just over-matched there. My scarce gaming time was just not the least bit fun today thanks to that place. Always leaves a sour taste when I only have an hour of play time and walk away totally frustrated.
Cool. This is exactly where I am at in the game. Have done about 3 Lyncheood missions including helping Dukino. I have not yet seen the Kill Dukino's mom quest. Who gives that?'None_More_Black said:Once you get into the mid/late 20's go to Lynchwood and do the kill Dukino's mom quest. She is a giant skag that drop tons of purples and eridium. Also helps to level. You can get to her in about 30 seconds from a spawn point and kill her in about a minute with a good shotgun. I don't like to farm but this is just too easy. Just hide using the cover in the elavator that you use to go down to fight her. She can't touch you.
you will get that mission sometime later at Sanctuary after a few more main story missions.Cool. This is exactly where I am at in the game. Sounds like you need some co-op. I just got done with the Bunker which i am guessing is about 2/3 through. If you are on pc let me know.Finished the first tun through and started on True Vault level. Within the first hour, I had an orange weapon an an orange grenade mod after nothing orange the first time.BTW--True Vault level is too hard once you get past the first few missions. Not enjoyable IMO.

I recommend using them at staggered intervals. Use one right away when you get to Sanctuary, then another at maybe level 15, then 20-25, etc. Then keep them in the bank for other characters to use when you switch to play them. The items from the Golden Chest should be good for you at that moment. There is no guarantee they will beat what you are finding an hour later.I'm out today because of a bad back so I'm hoping to get some good play time in.....How benificial are these golden keys? If/when I do get a code for a golden key, should I (or can I) hold it until I hit the level cap or what? How do they work?TIAPS - Where is Madshot?
I think since I just got a free one last night, and just hit level 20, that I am going to break one out next time I get to play, sometime this weekend. Hopefully it proves more useful than the first. I basically sold everything I got from that one. Wasn't a thing worth keeping.I recommend using them at staggered intervals. Just realized you had posted this. This is EXACTLY what I ran in too last night. Trivial my ####. So did you finish it and, if so, at what level? or did you leave and go back later? As I said, my level 20 assassin is getting ate up in there. I may leave and go back later. Would really like to know how they get trivial for that one though. What BS.I also had one supposedly trivial mission that was very hard last night. It was in the caustic caverns. I think it may have been mislabeled in its difficulty level.
Glad to see it isn't just me (as you see from my last post). If you were still having trouble at 22, I guess I need to leave and go back later.I had 3 golden keys and used two of them last night. I am at Level 22 and am at the caustic caverns part of the game. I am a sniper and I am having the same problem that TxBuckeye was having. I got a 7000+ purple rocket launcher from one of the golden keys. It has jeopardy much. I use it as a last resort weapon. When I was fighting the threshers I went down at least three times, but the launcher was a one shot kill on most of those threshers and kept giving me my second win. I love that rocket launcher.
I made it through eventually. I was high teens low 20's for a level. I decided at level 12ish to rethink my sniper. I decided to go away from building him as a pure sniper and instead concentrate all skills and bad ### points to balancing the character for all guns.Just realized you had posted this. I think your weapon is cursed. I had a weapon that screamed when I fired and also made me walk very slowly. I sold that #### quickly. One of the weapons I got from a side mission reward yells at me when I use it.It screams "murderer!", when I score a hit and annoyingly says something like when I reload "if you did not suck and miss so much you would not have to continually reload"The developers if this game had way too much fun

I actually was at 20 when I got there. Multiple times running through, plus a couple of missions away and I hit 22 last night right after I finished it. So much of it is about strategy, not just level. Another one of the items I got from the golden chest was a grenade mod that gives me health back. When you throw the grenade it breaks into 8 pieces and those pieces home in on the nearest enemy. That, along with the launcher, helped me devise a strategy to kill that damn Pyro thresher. The truth is that I was very close before I got those items. I just killed the small groups of threshers that were popping up and if needed I would run back to the health machine and fill up on health and rockets. Dont give up on trying to finish that quest.Glad to see it isn't just me (as you see from my last post). From the "Out of Body Experience" side mission (#1340 AI Core), if you chose to put his core into a new gun, he would talk while you fire and sometimes would talk when you fire from other guns if he/it was selected as one you had in your arsenal. He'd say "Good idea" when you switched to it. "Need more bullets!" while reloading. "Pew pew pew pew" and other sound when firing. And all other funny things. He eventually got annoying and I sold it, but it was a fun experience. Funny that everyone else in my group could hear the stuff it said too.'chet said:I think your weapon is cursed. Which bank gives your second character access to it? Crimson Raider place has your personal bank, if my character #1 leaves a pistol in there...when I play as my #2 character, can they access that pistol in the bank? the other bank is across from Claptrap in Sanctuary. You get it as part of a mission. The claptrap bank is interesting because it can store weapons for your next characters so I put any orange weapons I no longer use in there.I don't use the other bank at the Crimson Headquarters but some people might store relics or class mods in there for when they want to go for the trophy where you need a purple level or higher in every slot.Speaking of Banks, does anyone use the bank or vault or whatever that you have access to at the Crimson Raiders HQ? I saw you can even buy upgrades for it. But I NEVER use this thing. I don't see the point. Is there one that I'm missing?
no I don't think so. Interesting idea though. They could steal from the mobile world and charge like .99 cents to get a new key. Would likely generate some decent in game revenue for them. Can you buy Golden Keys anywhere?
Ah, ok. So no, I'm not missing anything then. Didn't think I was but, since the thing seemed so senseless to me, I was afraid I might be missing something obvious.I don't use the other bank at the Crimson Headquarters but some people might store relics or class mods in there for when they want to go for the trophy where you need a purple level or higher in every slot.
Sorry money bags. Can't just throw cash at your digital problems....Can you buy Golden Keys anywhere?
Yes, I used for different MODS or RELICS. I sometimes use certain MODS for single player only, while use different MODS for co-op. So, I stored them there and create the opening to gather more loot when I'm out n about.Speaking of Banks, does anyone use the bank or vault or whatever that you have access to at the Crimson Raiders HQ? sooooo ####### funny!Sorry money bags. Can't just throw cash at your digital problems....Can you buy Golden Keys anywhere?
I get relics, I don't get mods. Mods you just click on and they are used up and available for use. Why would you carry them around with you?Yes, I used for different MODS or RELICS. some mods are better for team play and some mods are better for solo runs. If you read the descriptions you will see things like "every player in party +25% accuracy", which if you wear it helps your entire co op party, where as other mods affect on your character and as such are better for solo runs.If you switch back and forth co-op vs solo, I can see storing the mods in the bank.Mods do not get used up. Their affects stay with your character as long as the mod is worn.I get relics, I don't get mods. Mods you just click on and they are used up and available for use. I think I misunderstood. I think I am thinking skins, and not mods. Which is what I meant by them being used once you clicked them.some mods are better for team play and some mods are better for solo runs. You are correct, skins you click on once, they go poof and then you can access them when ever at the respec station or a car station.I think I misunderstood. Not that I know of. Maybe two different people worked on the gun stats and used a different palette.I was comparing two purple guns last night and I noticed that the color of the purple was significantly different between the two. One was very light purple and one was very dark purple. And then I remembered in the first game that I think the orange weapons also came in different shades which related to their rarity level.Does Borderlands 2 have a shading difference for the more rare guns?
Can you use a key more than once per character? I've been told that once the box is open, it stays open.@duvalmagic will be releasing key codes at 6 and 11 Central and sometime tomorrow. For all the geeks like me in this thread it's a must follow. My brother has 6 keys already and I've gotten 4.
