So are the aimbots non existant or at least much less prevalent on PS4? That could swing my decision on the next gen console since I can't detemine much difference otherwise.
Dead Silence doesn't cancel Amplify. It makes your footsteps quieter but they can still hear you fine if they have a headset.Amplify is all about sound right? I'm running dead silence.AmplifyPlaying for a little while today, and why does it seem like their are a ton of guys who just happen to know where I am at all times.

Not an expert here, but hacks like that are usually more prevelant on P2P games versus server hosted games. Both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of COD:Ghosts are on a "hybrid" type multiplayer. Hybrid meaning sometimes you'll be on a server, sometimes hosted on some fukwit's home console who may or may not be lag switching, hacking, etc.So are the aimbots non existant or at least much less prevalent on PS4? You know, with the amount of complaining I do, this is not true. I am guilty of being a habitual rage quitter.I'm conviced Clawyer is a filthy aimbot hacker.Since I've moved over to Xbone, I'm amazed how guys like Clawyer, Cardfan, et al can regularly get 50+ kills in this game.
I've had this game since Christmas and havent played multiplayer yet. Played at my Brother in Laws on Christmas day but it was a custom match against my son. Well I ought to jump on. BF4 is much less fun when you are playing by yourself. I mange to play a couple of times a week with Ender and his other BF pals. I understand BF4 is out though.
You guys playing often on the 360? I'm tempted to pick it back up on 360 cuz its pretty lonely on Xbone and you guys are my peeps. I think thats a bit misleading. If its me and you in a game, with no shooting, airsupport etc and I run with 5-10 feet of you I may hear you. During an actual game its almost impossible to hear someone when they have Dead Silence IMODead Silence doesn't cancel Amplify. Nope. I hear people with Dead Silence all the time with Amplify and they can be further away than 5-10 feet. It's even quieter since they patched Dead Silence but you can still be heard fairly easily.I think thats a bit misleading. Exactly. Seems like it would be VERY hard to hear them with shooting and airsupport. Also, when he has Dead Silence on and hears him hes pretty close

You got a new account? Agreed that DICE & EA in their rush to get this game out in 2013 took a game that could be awesome and made it just OK. Its hard to imagine that things that were in BF3 arent in BF4. Not being able to squad up before a match is beyond stupid.Yeah, pretty often. I played a bit of BF4 back in Nov/Dec. It's fun but the party system and matchmaking are so awful and tedious that it's not always worth the hassle. Plus, I only have a few guys on my friends list with my new account so I didn't have anyone to play with anyway.
Can you explain this to me like I just started playing this game?Dead Silence getting buffed (again) in the next update. Think it's dropping tomorrow. Yeah, I definitely can't hear people with Dead Silence when usuing Amplify
When the game dropped. Amplify allowed you to hear Dead Silence users quite clearly and from a fairly decent distance. Update earlier this month made Dead Silence quieter which reduced effectiveness of Amplify over it but you can still hear it well enough that you don't have much of an issue hearing anyone coming up behind you or walking in the general vicinity of you if you have Amplify equipped. Can you explain this to me like I just started playing this game?Dead Silence getting buffed (again) in the next update. Yeah, that lag was pretty abnormal but that's also the first time I've played in a full party. Still seemed to be game dependent. Some of the games seemed fine while a few were pretty bad. This game is not dog crap pressed into the shape of a DVD. The game plays better than I expected. But the lag in a full party with guys all over the country just sucks. It makes the game less enjoyable. But it was still mostly fun. I'll keep it in the rotation.
So even more reason to run with it.When the game dropped. Amplify allowed you to hear Dead Silence users quite clearly and from a fairly decent distance. A new update tomorrow makes Dead Silence even quieter versus Amplify but the patch notes state that you'll still be able to hear it with Amplify, just not as well.
Note: Crouch walking is completely silent regardless.

I get really bad lag when i play in our clan matches on Xbox One. What? Ded. servers were the cure. Glad to hear I didn't spend $500 on xbone yet. Now when titanfall comes out, that may change.I get really bad lag when i play in our clan matches on Xbox One. Sounds like I can take off amplify on all of my classes as well and stick with DS. Foot steps are pretty loud by themselves and amplify more or less confuses me if there are multiple enemies, it is so loud that I can't distinguish location. So even more reason to run with it.When the game dropped. There are not dedicated servers all the time on the Xbox One. Friggin Infinity Ward hosts sometimes, otherwise many times your on last gen style P2P bullchit. What? Ded. servers were the cure. BTW- get the 360 version. We will be there a while. I haven't played Ghosts much, but it seems like they won't utilize full potential of new system until the next version anyway.
Yeah it was different game to game. The first game I played with Clawyer was very smooth. After that as the number in the party increased the lag went from slightly noticeable to abyssmal for me. But it was still a good time. I personally dont give a crap about my KDR as long as we win. But it was more fun than the last two iterations of the franchise for me. Doesnt beat BLOPS, yet.Yeah, that lag was pretty abnormal but that's also the first time I've played in a full party. Still seemed to be game dependent. I was not going to download the new maps since I wasn't crazy about the base maps, and wasn't going to pay for more that I didn't like. However, if they are smaller, I might be tempted.I like the new Onslaught maps. They are small (but not too small) to medium sized for the most part which plays moe to my style I guess. I had much better games on them last night than I did when I played the regular maps.
I enjoyed Fog the most, but really only because I got to play as Mike Myers in my only play through of it. Glad they brought back Scrapyard - great map and the Underground addition really enhances it. Containment is a solid map with lots of ways to play it so I think this will ultimately be the best of the bunch. Not sold on BayView, which seems like pretty standard fare.
I just started playing this game, and am still trying to learn the original maps. 4 new maps total. Good luck figuring out the original maps...I still don't have a great handle on about half of them. Chasm and Stonehaven would be sweet maps for large team battles. I don't get why they made the maps so big but took out that option.4 new maps total. Chasm is fine in Groundwar, but Stonehaven has actually been worse IMO, as you have even more people standing around sniping every little corner with a heat sensor. Check out TmarTn's YouTube channel for his Jumps and Spots videos. He shows lots of good places to hide/climb/jump/ etc. It won't give you a total idea about maps, but it will give you a few good places on each map you can look for.hxperson said:4 new maps total. hijack/ Spank, I've been out of country since Sun. USA Fri. Might be 8-10 on Fri night. Brock says BF4 looks made for Xbone it plays so smooth, graphics, lobby que, extended maps, etc. But not enough players to migrate yet so I'm sticking 360 until Pig, Don and Mule go over. Look for you tomorrow night. /hijackWell I ought to jump on. BF4 is much less fun when you are playing by yourself. I mange to play a couple of times a week with Ender and his other BF pals. I may pop it in tonight to give it a spin.
Ender, I'm with you buddy. Been playing Ghosts the last couple of nights. Its fun playing with the group. But the game itself can be extremely infuriating. The lag that I have been subjected to is quite painful to endure. I am not a good COD player but what I have experienced in some of the matches is even terrible by my standards. 10-30 and 8-28 matches? Getting what appeared to be one shot by guys with ARs and SMGs only to see on the kill cam that the guy put 6 to 10 rounds into me on his end. I love the concept of the game and I dont dislike any of the maps but my connection is terrible for this game and it really makes it hard to enjoy.hijack/ Spank, I've been out of country since Sun. Do you use a headset?Bull Dozier said:Whenever I try to snipe, or cover a corner, someone comes up behind me. Whenever I run and gun, someone camping gets the drop on me. I know its mostly because I just suck, but I find this far more frustrating than BLOPS2.
No, that's part of my problem too. The only headset I have is the cheapo xbox live starter pack headset I got years ago that I only use occasionally when playing with a group.Do you use a headset?Bull Dozier said:Whenever I try to snipe, or cover a corner, someone comes up behind me. That's odd. For me this game has the best connection, netcode, hit detection, whatever of all the CODs I've played. This game is terrible. Well not the game itself. I actually like the guns, the maps, the perks. But the connection is so god awful that it isnt even fun to play. I am not a good COD player. But over the years I had steadily gotten a little better and was always hovering at a 1.0 KD. Pretty impressive considering my jello like reflexes and poor eyesight. I cant go positive in this game and its largely because of the crap connection. I can shoot first and still die. On review of the killcam I not only didnt shoot first but it basically looks like I wandered aimlessly into the space where my killer was and he began shooting me the moment I entered the space. On my end I saw him first and shot first only to be apparently one shot. Its amazing that this game got cooler in the things it offers the player. But it got crappier in the infrastructure to support all that cool. I'd rather have fewer player customization options and a better connection then all these options and a dog crap connection. As broken as BF4 has been, I can get in the game and have a good time. Sure the occansional freezes are annoying, especially when I have a good game going. But its playable and enjoyable. I dont know how you guys put up with this. I feel like I've flushed $75 bucks down the toilet.
