Bears Cardinals game will be replayed on Thursday at 8pm EST on the NFL network.
Other than Bears fans, who would want to watch that again?
Well, if you like amazing comebacks, watch it. If you don't, well, I can't see what you would like.
I would categorize it more as an amazing choke job than an amazing comeback. If the Bears would have done something special to win, then it would have been an amazing comeback. The Cardinals made HUGE mistakes down the stretch and missed a pretty easy field goal at the end. This was an amazing choke.

Because there's nothing special about scoring 3 TDs in a half with the D/ST :hophead:

Exactly. Regardless of what they do, someone will always say something like this. HELLO! 2 defensive td's and a punt return td in a half is about as special as it gets.

:o :o Yup, nothing special about that comeback. Punt returns and fumbles ALWAYS get run back for touchdowns. Nothing to see here, move along folks.

Choke/Comeback, we both know the answer is some place in between, the key word in both statements is amazing, and these type of games only come around a handful of times during the NFL season.

Holy crap, my wife is on her NINTH beer tonight. During the first six, she was mostly crying in 'em. The last three are celebratory. lol(we're usually not big drinkers, but she decided to get into being able to see her da Bears on tv for a change, not to mention MNF lol)
why do you keep referring to your wife?
Just play along.(in my best Mel Torme voice)"Wow her ninth beer Roarin. That's just the tops."
:lmao: :lmao:
:lmao:
My apologies for upsetting the Thread Gods. I was just celebrating here by proxy (she's the da Bears fan).

The Bears fans missing from the thread most of the game if not the entire game all chime in to disuss the great comeback the next day :lmao: . This thread is ####### great. It's like I can relive the comedy all over again.

Sorry bud but I do not have internet at home or I would have been in here. It would be easy to say that we are now 6-0 but this is a game that we should have lost. We won the game but we got our butt's kicked on the offensive side of the ball. The defense made the adjustments and this is going to be a solid team but there are MAJOR questions regarding the play calling here. The Bears are not going to go undefeated and as I say over and over anything can and will happen in the NFL...

It's called not being home for the game, some people actually get out of their houses every now and then. When I got home last night, drunk as I was, I posted I was wrong about the blowout. It was great to see the Defense comeback and take the Win from the Hapless Cardinals. It is a shame the Cardinals record is so bad, because they do have allot of talent on that team, and if they ever put it together, they will be good.

Statements like this are such horse####.Why don't you show some stones and single out someone instead of lumping people together? I, for one, wasn't in this thread until it was to complain about how they were playing. I wasn't here before hand saying the Cardinals are beat before the game. I came in when they looked like crap, stated such, and after that I was here for the duration.

So i know damn well that you aren't talking about me.

:goodposting: I'm amazed this thread still is going.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: There was a guy last night who changed his avatar to a Arizona Cardinals symbol when they were up by 20 only to change it back this morning after they lost. That is what amazes me.

Hi KRS :bye:

At the very least the offence should be taking the rest of the team to a NICE dinner tonight.

I was out at the bar watching the game. Got in late and didn't feel like chatting on the internet. Is that so strange?

I think he was mainly referring to the people that were actually here, like Gridiron Assassin, who kept trash talking til about 8, fell silent for a couple hours, and magically reappeared after the game was finished.

I hope so because he sounds like a complete jackass about it.All season people have been saying that every Bears fan expects them to go 19-0. I seen Aaron say it in another thread ... that's a friggin joke. I live in Chicago and know plenty of Bears fans with realistic expectations. All last season and at the beginning of this season it was "they haven't played anyone good", or "they'll choke in the playoffs" ... suddenly it went from that to "oh they won't be 19-0, all you Bears fans are idiots for even thinking that."

stupid stupid people jealous that Bears fans actually have something to cheer for. it's been long enough, let us enjoy it while they're good.

edit to add: i'm not trying to single out aaron, i hear people every day trying to rain on the bears parade for the past two seasons. i just read a quote of his in another thread arguing how we wont go undefeated. i'm thinking well DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH no one goes undefeated. it's just wishful thinking :)

Actually, there were several milestones and even an NFL record that fell last night. Games like that come around once a decade...at best.It was only the 2nd time in Bears history (which goes back quite a ways) that they have come back being down by 20+.

It was the only time in NFL history that a team has lead by 14+ points twice in the same season...and lost both games (not to mention TWO WEEKS IN A ROW...BOTH AT HOME...OUCH!)

Finally, Edge set a record by having 36 carries and only 55 yards. No RB in NFL history has had that many carries and gained so few yards...not even Jamal Lewis. Of course, number 54 had something to with that

There's also something about coming back from 20+ points without scoring an offensive touchdown ...ETA: BEAT YOU TO IT BULLITT :hophead:

Don't forget I think it was the first time in NFL history that a 20 pt comeback did not include any points by the offense.ETA: DAMN gferrell20 beat me to it!!! Naperville sucks!!!! :D J/K it's just so damn far away.

I just want to go on record right now as having a COMPLETELY different mindset than what the media in Chicago is saying about this Bears team. After the preseason- the media was calling for Rex Grossman's head. Then they crowned him the king of the NFL world and started talking about a Super Bowl. This is not the thinking of many of Bear's fans and if they are thinking like this they need to put the crack pipe down and setp back until they sober up.....

        That was HORRIBLE.Why the hell do I continue to attend these games? Everyone around me knew we would blow it. We all were just waiting for the hammer to drop. No more "wait until next year" crap. No more "we will be good." This team should be winning games, and Denny curls up into the fetal position when we have a lead instead of putting the knife in and twisting it.
As a long-time Saints fan, I feel your pain. I've been through more than my share of heartache.Yes, I'm looking right at you Russell Erxleben.

You guys are being overly sensetive. From the outside looking in that game last night was comedy gold and I haven't read or been involved in a thread this funny since the Raiders/Chargers MNF game. Most of my peers are in Chicago, were attending a sales function last night, and missed the game. After reading the Chicago hype machine they were simply oblivious to the fact that Grossman even had a bad game. I am not exaggerating. I was amazed at how distorted their views were and it really was no fault of their own. There was a ton of Bears hype this whole season and to follow a thread that went from all Bears fans to very little Bears fans to a rush of Bears fans again the next day is funny. Sorry it just is. Especially knowing what I know about the media coming out of Chicago. It wasn't meant to insult anyone specifically and it wasn't meant to be a shot at Bears fans even though it kind of came out like that. It was more a shot at the Chicago media and the ridiculous hype they have created.

I like the Bears, I like Chicago (I go there about 4 times a year), and I can appreciate the enthusiasm. It's just that all of a sudden this thread turned serious this morning when it was anything but last night. It just added to the oddity that was last nights game and I found that to be humorous.

Makes sense. I've just heard a lot of crap directed towards the Bears & their fans and am becoming quite tired of it!
