Technically, they didn't release anything. The story 'broke' from a reporter at STATnews, Adam Feuerstein.Yep, it’s so sad. They release the news on that drug after hours so they can all make their money after hours and all the regular folks get nothing. There’s no reason to believe that this is anything other than a blatant money grab.
Her comments were made this week during a video discussion about the trial results with other University of Chicago faculty members. The discussion was recorded and STAT obtained a copy of the video.
In a statement Thursday, Gilead said: “What we can say at this stage is that we look forward to data from ongoing studies becoming available.”
Gilead had said to expect results for its trial involving severe cases in April. Mullane said during her presentation that data for the first 400 patients in the study would be “locked” by Gilead Thursday, meaning that results could come any day.
... thought of going back after driving through to return it, but it's on my way home from work so I decided to return it (with receipt, of course) the next day (yesterday). Was told by masked employee then masked manager that they were not accepting any returns. Wut? Apparently there's a sign on the front door (which I obviously didn't see since I drove through) and it's on the receipt (the mile-long receipt that no one ever looks at). Me in my mask... everyone in masks, plastic sheet inbetween us... so weird. Anyways...
