*** Official Detroit Tigers Bandwagon *** (2 Viewers)

 Keep this train a rollin... it's gonna take more than Soriano to stop the Tigers now... they would have to stop themselves and that is were Leyland succeeds and Trammel failed.

Tigers are about to be up by 7.5 games...when do we start with the magic numbers ?
Last Thursday I heard it was 63, but I don't know what it is now.Is anyone else completely annoyed by those Dr. Z DaimlerChrysler commercials that play every time Fox Sports goes to commercial. Enough already! :wall:

My good friend works in film and was responsible for filming those Doctor Z commercials at the Chelsea proving grounds. He told me some stories about the three days of shooting those commercials, including the time they blew the motor out of one of the Jeep Cherokees running it through a patch of water. The execs at Chrysler were none too pleased.  :hot:

Ugh, a triple by the 8 hitter
I like this kid Inglett. Hope the Indians keep him around and tell Belliard to take a hike and spend the money on pitching. Not a good outing by KR though. Hope it's not the start of a second half decline as I still want the Tigers to take the Central.

What do you guys think of Verlander today?
As opposed to yesterday or for betting purposes? They usually hit fatbathia well if that is any indication.
Betting
Whaat's the line? O/U? Like I said, tigers hit Fatbathia well. I'd say this is a game that most will go under and I'd go over. I don't bet on my own teams but I'd take the Tigers -1.

Verlander was at -105 last night, today he is at -115. I like fading Sabathia because I don't think he is that good. Verlander has been solid all year and this should be a good bounce back for Detroit.

Sounds about right.

They did beat him 3-0 on 5/13 but I wouldn't say they hit him well...8.0 IP, 6H, 3R (2 ER), 10K, 1BB

BTW Green...in 5 day game starts this year, Sabathia is 3-0 with a 1.32 ERA. But he also likes to quit if he gets frustrated or gets behind early. Take it for what its worth.

I'm talking past years as well. I can remember just once he pitched well vs the Tigers. For some reason they don't have a lot of trouble with him. :knockonwood:

He was 2-1 against DET in '05 and 2-1 in '04 and only once did he get knocked around pretty well.

A 4.23 ERA isn't that great and the .242 OAV vs the Tigers is way too high considering their teams the past few years. But he is better than I thought. I guess he was the only decent pitcher we could somewhat hit so I over exaggerated things in my own mind.
Code:
Career vs. DET 18 18 10 5 0 1 0 110.2 101 58 52 14 32 92 4.23 1.20 .242

Good info WadeThanks

Another win, 4-1. Big 3 game series against the Twins with Liriano and Santana both scheduled to pitch. Gardenhire moved Santana up a day to get him into the third game of the series.

Some concern about the pitching since the break. Rogers and Bonderman have both had 2 bad outings out of 3 (Rogers worse than Bondo). Verlander is getting up there in innings. Maroth is still a month away. Minor hasn't looked good lately at all.

Bondo will be fine, Im worried about Rogers. Verlander will be fine. He looks so effortless when he throws. that why he's a starter and Zuyma is in the pen. Zuyma's delivery is too violent, they were afraid he'd throw his arm out.

I think all this talk about getting a left handed stick is clouding up the need for a veteran arm. There was talk yesterday they may bring one in. I think it would probably be a good idea.

Maroth should not be counted on. If he is healthy, consider it a bonus.

NEGATIVE HOMER VIBES STAY OUT OF THIS THREAD!

Detroit fans are so pessimistic. Enjoy the season. This is not supposed to be happening and questioning Rogers and Bonderman is ridiculous.
