***Official Dexter Thread*** (2 Viewers)

Speaking of Isaac, a few episodes ago, Dexter went to Isaac's place to wait for him and kill him. When he arrived there, he discovered another guy was already there waiting to kill Isaac.

Dexter kills this guy, but why? Maybe I blinked and missed something. Why wouldn't he just leave and allow the guy to kill Isaac, since that was what he was planning to do anyway?

the big bad is laguerta, and the story is playing out over the last two seasons. all the other villians are going to be minor arcs.

the big bad is laguerta, and the story is playing out over the last two seasons. all the other villians are going to be minor arcs.

He's killed a couple of people who didn't fit his code.
 
I also am surprised at the complete lack of interest in anyone else as to what happened to the intern. It's like he was never even there.

He got fired and Dex's nanny dumped him and was happy to be rid of him. Why would any of the characters on the show care about him?

He was fired for stealing the ice truck killer hand...so he isn't on the radar for anyone in the office anymore. Dexter's nanny doesn't seem to care either, though...

I think she strongly established that she could't care less if the intern was alive or dead after he established that he's a creep in the video Dexter planted.

Yeah, Isaak was best part of season and they gave him worst death ever in the hands of a completely pointless character.

That was ####### awful.. Waxing poetic about gay love while bleeding out on Dexters boat. This show is becoming unwatchable.

He talked about how he wanted to be the one to kill Isaac. And I think at some level, obviously as you saw play out, there was some connection/recognition between the two. Dexter didn't really WANT to kill Isaac at that point, as long as his own life wasn't in danger. Similar to the Hanna storyline, where he could be his self.

I don't get the 1 shot and run?Did he not want to kill him? Did he assume he killed him with 1 shot? With someone as powerful as Isaak i would assume something like 13 shots to make sure he was killed.

He had the gun pointed at his head, all he had to do was spend the tenth of a second to squeeze.I think he pulled it back before he heard Dexter anyway though.

Yeah not to mention, there was enough time for Dexter to drag him off the boat and through the dock and back to his own boat and then drive out to the middle of the ocean and have a conversation about life and gayness but there wasn't enough time to just drop him in front of a hospital somewhere. Kind of weird.It's been a solid season, but doing away with an awesome character like Isaac in that manner was weak.
 
How about the fact that after he killed the black assassin and all the way until he died, Dexter didnt ask him once to call Urig and let go Hannah.

Im getting caught back up and just watched this episode. That scene had me rolling.Loved the way Dex delivered the line "Everything is in my control!" when him and Deb were talking after Deb got the confession out of Speltzer. You can see the old Dex coming back.

For me, this season is easily way better than last season.

Best line of the episode:

I dont run - I make people run.......however I DO run if there's a bull coming after me with an axe.

Looks like we're starting to see the beginning of the final story arc.

With Dexter losing the "dark passenger" it will make things more interesting.

Agreed. I think a lot of us knew that they had two seasons remaining and assumed that they would string things out as long as possible before wrapping up all the storylines over the last couple episodes. I originally assumed Deb would find out one of the final few episodes but instead they gave it two full seasons. Once we saw that LaGuerta was onto a new lead it seemed like they'd stretch THAT til the end but instead it's happening with over a season remaining. And they've done things without boring the audience along the way just to fill time. Pacing has been excellent.
 
I predict that Deb either kills Dexter or Dexter kills himself. In the end, Deb won't let Dexter take out LaGuerta.

he lost the dark passenger for awhile in one of the books. it made him totally useless.
 
I can see only two possible endings to this show:

1)Dexter sitting in the electric chair. Fade to black.

2)Deb throwing Dexter's body in the ocean.

I really don't think he gets out of this alive.

 
Having Deb kill Dexter might make for the worst/most predictable ending in the history of premium channel series history. THAT would suck a heavy one.

 
Was pissed the club owner guy was killed. He was such an awesome and complex character, I was hoping he was the one who would take out Izak and then Dexter to cap the show

Here's my ending.... Hannah takes out Deb and LaGuerta. Dexter finds out. Then he kills Hannah on the table and the takes poison to off himself.

 
This episode is like a 3rd grade writing expo...

As soon as Deb was reported as crashed...I was asking how long they're going to prolong this nonsense of making it look like it was Hannah who did it.

It's just dumb writing.

But this is what has become of the show...and I've invested this much time and energy into it so I'll stick it out.

 
I called the parole as a setup by LaGuerta pretty early. Don't know why Dex left the chainsaw running, though. Took the time to take down all the other evidence, then left the plastic all over the place. He could have just closed it up and maybe, just maybe, his kill room goes undiscovered and leaves LaGuerta without any more clues.

Oh, and now I have to wonder if Deb spiked her own drink to frame Hannah. Hannah doesn't make mistakes.

Of course she did...that's why they gave us the her line before that scene, "I'll do anything to protect my brother."

Woah, I didnt even think of that.I thought the episode was great. Didnt see the set up with the parolee either. I guess I was naive. Anyway, next week looks epic.

 
What makes dex think that Hannah won't tell on him?

I dunno why I watch previews for the next week. Always shows way too much info.

I hope you're right because I was wondering how long they'd drag that out...I was thinking we'd have to wait a half hour of back and forth banter to get to the conclusion at the end that it was Deb all along. It bored me because of it.Then to drag it till next episode? That caused me to post my disdain.I hold out hope but my gut says they're trying too hard once again. Like when we all knew that the doomsday killer's mentor was all in his head the entire season...and then the big reveal...woohoo...no one saw that coming. Grief.I just see them showing Deb talking to Hannah through glass over the phone...telling her what she did to get rid of her...as Hannah is taken away to her cell.
 
Not that it can't be done...I just didn't like the telegraphing...

It felt like Kenan Ivory Wayans screaming out, "MESSAGE!" Just after Deb says she'll do anything...ugh.

I think it's definitely Deb.She was going to meet the other girl, but she was probably smart enough to know that it wouldn't do any good. She knew that the other girl went straight to Hannah last time. Not the behavior of someone who's about to turn rat.
