From season 1 of the series in separate narrations (can't tell if they are the same episode for sure):I thought that his reasoning was a callback to exactly what Dexter said in one of the first monologues of the series.I did appreciate, ever so slightly, Saxon's reason for coming to Miami: the police department's woeful 20% solve rate on homicides.![]()
I actually liked that scene and Dexter's and Saxon's interplay among what was mostly a poor season (not that you would know from reading this thread . . .)
Dexter Morgan: [narrating] With the solve rate for murders at about twenty percent, Miami is a great place for me. A great place for me to hone my craft. Viva Miami.
Dexter Morgan: Tonight's the night. And it's going to happen, again and again. It has to happen. Nice night. Miami is a great town. I love the Cuban food. Pork sandwiches. My favorite. But I'm hungry for something different now.
