I didn't save it, read it for free on my phone, don't remember word for word, but the jist was:
The two best things to happen to disc golf:
- The Pandemic - Disc Golf is the ultimate social distance sport; people needing an activity flock to the game
- The Holy Shot - got on SportsCenter, got people interested in the sport, brought some character/athlete recognition to the game
The two worst things to happen to disc golf: same two things as above. The huge increase of players, overall interest, new course being built put a huge monkey wrench in the disc manufacturer's supply chain, basically running their machines 24/7 to try and keep up. Not to mention the pandemic causing shortages of plastic to make discs. Made it tough on a lot of the companies involved.
They mentioned a little bit about the big money given out to McBeth, Ricky and the others, and how these companies are moving into unchartered endorsement territory for them.
