I was 19 and me an a buddy drank some ever clear and mountain dew and went to the WWF at the Fort Wayne War Memorial Coliseum. We forgot how to get back to our seats and went the wrong way in the concourse. So we end up on the far side of the stands and there is a fat security guard standing next to a open door. We look in the door and there is Ken Patera taping up on a bench in an improvised locker room.

Well everyone knows wrestling is fake and that Ken Patera was a bad guy who lost his gold medal for taking roids in the olympics. So being a drunk teen you know we started talking ####.  "Way to embarrass the country Patera, I got your gold right here #####, juicer, ." You know all the genius stuff a drunk teen would say to taunt a bad guys wrestler.

So Patera stands up and scream "Shut the #### up you little ####." To which my friend wittily responds "What are you going to do roid rage on us."  You know thinking he is in character.

Well he wasn't in character because wrestling is real. He turns real red and screams "I AM GOING TO KILL YOU MOTHER ####ERS" and Ken Patera charges right at us.

So we froze and god bless that fat security guard. He tried to block the door and Patera almost ran him over. So there we are Ken Patera screaming he is going to kick our ###, trying to grab us, turned beet red, fat security guard draped around one of his legs dragging him through the concourse after us, running for our lives.

Tbh Obama said this with regard to Darfur during the 08 debates too.
He was right. And as I mentioned earlier, we stood by during the Cambodia genocide in 1975 as well, even though we were more responsible than any other party for that (other than the Khmer Rouge).

This affects me personally, I suppose, because so many of my family members died in the Holocaust. My father is a Holocaust survivor. What do the words "never again" mean? Apparently they mean nothing.

If you have a suggestion how we could have stopped the massacres in Aleppo over the last month that didn't also start a war with Russia, go ahead.  Unfortunately, the ability to stop something like this went away a long time ago.

As I wrote earlier I think Russia would back down. But otherwise I have no solution.

I have. Read my next comment about it.  The question is whether they intended a crippled Clinton or Trump, not whether they intentionally interfered.
Also, the only debate is over whether there's sufficient evidence to reach a conclusion regarding intent.  There's no contradictory evidence or anything like that. It's simply that ODNI either (1) doesn't have access to whatever information the CIA used to reach its conclusion on intent, or (2) disagrees that the information was sufficient to reach a definitive conclusion. Nowhere do they say the CIA's conclusion was incorrect.

It is always controversial, part of the argument for the Iraq War at some point became the toppling of the Hussein regime.

I'm inclined to agree with you for the same reasons in principle, but structures are needed for such things. We've broken down our global structures and right now militarily intervening in Syria is a physical impossibility.

Going to be A LOT of job opportunities at the CIA in five weeks. Some real Americans should get their resumes ready.
Honestly I find your attitude anti-American and downright unpatriotic. I'll think about whether I should let idiotic forum postings bug me, then again maybe I'll make it a special project, we'll see.

As for Trump, making enemies of our intelligence community is a colossally stupid move, maybe that's enough satisfaction for me to see that play out.

Write, but do you intervene without taking a side? I think that's pretty tricky.

Not really. Going after Hillary and the DNC was a much bigger prize than Trump.

Trump had little ground game, little backing from the RNC, was generally not endorsed by any major republicans. Only thing Russia could really do was to hack his twitter account. But honestly, I am not sure, even if they wrote tweets in Russian, that it would have been any more bizarre than what Trump actually tweeted.

I don't know if it was discussed on pages I skipped, but completely separate and apart from potential corruption, this is why the President can't have the kind of international business entanglements that Trump has.

Reports are coming in that Turkey has arrested one of Donald Trump's business partners in Turkey in order to use him as leverage in attempting to secure the extradition of a Muslim cleric Turkey has been wanting who lives in the U.S. This will be interesting to watch play out.  I hope it ends well for everyone.

The goal is to de-stabilize US institutions.  That goal is agnostic to whoever wins.  Trump actually winning is just the cherry on top.  A cherry that is proving to be Putin's puppet, but I don't think that was the primary goal

Posted this earlier but it needs more attention.

This is not just a false narrative, it's an insane one.  There is no one with more power on a global stage right now than the United States.  We are the sole superpower in the world and have been for decades. The Trump presidency and the positions he has already taken threaten that more than anything has since the fall of the Soviet Union.

Would it be so bad if we got along with Russia?  Absolutely not.  However, the goal of foreign policy is not to get along with Russia. It's to properly assert U.S. rights and privileges throughout the world, while staying true to our ideals and desires as much as possible.  If Russia wants to get on board with that, awesome.  That is extremely unlikely.
War mongering talk.

8 years of Obama.  Most of things that come out of Obama's mouth are lies. Bald-faced lies which he full well knows are lies but he doesn’t care because he believes he is “special” and above accountability and scrutiny. In his mind (or the bubble he lives in) laws, morals, ethics, common decency and anything else that puts limits upon the rest of us, do not apply to him. This is something that all sociopaths have in common.

Aside from not killing millions of people in gulags or concentration camps, he reminds me of Hitler and Stalin. Both of those monsters lived a delusional life where they believed that anything they said was true and above reproach.

Stalin constantly sought, purged, imprisoned and murdered imaginary enemies by the millions.

While being overrun on the eastern front by the Russians, Hitler directed his generals to mobilize imaginary German divisions to reinforce his army in Stalingrad. He knew full well that those divisions didn’t exist but believed he could conjure them out of thin air by his will alone.

Obama is no different. He thinks he can make something true simply by saying it is so. That’s a sociopath.
That's the dumbest take i have ever read.

There's something wrong with cruises now?
Nah, to each their own.  I wish I had the time and money to take any vacation at all.

But you don't come back from one and then smugly dismiss all the rubes around here.  It's like saying you just got back from your villa in Monaco and then dismissing all the elitists around here.

Wait...who would think thuggish pseudo-dictators would do something like this.  If people don't think Trump is in over his head cozying up with Putin, Erdogan, et al. they are fooling themselves.

I don't get this major shift where people think America has fallen apart. It seems like every election before 2016, if a candidate even hinted that America wasn't #1 they would get tore to shreds. What shook Americans so much?
Barry fundamentally transformed it.

A Villa in Monaco is not equivalent to a cruise.  You can get on a cruise for like $300.
