According to the NFL Network, Doug Martin's shoulder injury is serious.
We're still awaiting official word on Martin's MRI, but Ian Rapoport says Martin "could be out several weeks or longer." Shoulder injuries are especially tough for a running back to play through since they take so many direct hits on that area. It's a painful setback for a player that was already struggling to the tune of 3.59 YPC with one touchdown in six games in his second NFL season. Mike James needs to be added in all formats, but he'll face three stiff tests in a row with the Panthers, Seahawks and Dolphins on deck.
