****OFFICIAL DYNASTY TRADES**** (37 Viewers)

Totally agree...and he was also the #1 recruit in the nation, put up some serious #'s at Bama and had a very productive rookie year in the NFL...this is not some random player, he is a high-end talent.
All true.

Some have called Emmet Smith (many, actually) a compiler. It’s not a knock - Smith was a great RB, and I’ll debate until I’m out of breath against anyone who says differently.

But we’re purely talking FF value. 2 of my 3 calcs have Swift worth more. The 3rd has them close enough that a 1:1 deal seems fair.

I don’t think any win-now team is taking Swift over Harris. I’m not sure if any dynasty team does either.

it makes a player much harder to deal when most of their value is based on potential.

You basically just have to find the right owner that believes enough in the potential to pull the trigger.  There may not be one of those owners in every league.
Yep - I said as much above in another post. In a 16 team league I have to believe one of them is a Swift truther.

my concern is that because I’m high on Swift, it might be me.

Cooper Kupp

for

Bateman and Jeudy

I'm not inovlved.  The owner giving away Kupp is rebuilding.
I don't see this as giving away. If Bateman & Jeudy are both starters that is a points upgrade. If he is rebuilding he has two shots at a long term starter. I see this as someone paying up for Kupp

Traded Chase Claypool (he was very WR needy) for

Freiermuth (he owned Knox Schultz and Ertz)

Feel very fortunate he didn't counter asking for more.
Fair

I prefer Clay’s upside and hate selling low for a middle of the road TE. Muth isn’t a game changer. You can draft guys like him in the 3rd round of rookie drafts or find them on the WW.

I have to admit, when I first saw this trade, I thought it was a nobrainer in favor of Claypool. I was surprised to see opposite opinions. But, as I posted in this thread recently, I read and post here to get other opinions.

I feel like ‘Muth is better than average and has a very good chance at 75+ receptions with Trubisky at the helm. He has great hands and a big catch radius. He’s also one of the Steelers top RZ targets.

I like Claypool. But WR is deep and TE kinda isn’t. ‘Muth is young & has already shown flashes. I have him in a tier with Schultz, ahead of a bunch of other dudes.

I don't dislike Freiermuth I just have Claypool worth more. Claypool is going waaaay too late in most drafts IMO.

I agree with this...Freiermuth has a chance to be a perennial top 10 TE with top 5 upside...if he is you don't have to worry about that position for a while and for me I like to have a legit high-end TE and not play the week-to-week game...Claypool could be a good one, but college is dumping so many WRs into the NFL right now that I feel real comfortable I can get WRs like him pretty easily either thru the trade or draft.

Agree - we’ve seen that Claypool has super-star ability and I think Ben not being able to throw deep really hurt his game last season. There’s no guarantee he’s more 2020 than 2021 but we know he’s capable of 2020.

Freiermuth is a solid TE but I see his future as you do - a solid starter but one you hope you’ll be able to replace at some point and one that won’t give you any real advantage. He was TD dependent last season for the most part.

Understandable, but I'm not sure how we can call PF a middle of the road TE or not a game changer yet after he's only played 1 season (in which he grabbed 7 TD's.)  Pitt is going through a QB change which should favor the safety blanket type TE over the big play dependent WR as they transition [assumedly] to Pickett.  Plus, with Pitt bringing in 2 more WRs this year through the draft, I question how committed they may be to Claypool long term as well.

I wouldn't say it is giving away Kupp but definitely not paying up.  If a dynasty team is relying on Bateman & Jeudy as their starting WRs they are in serious trouble.  I like both of their talent but we have no idea who will be Russ' top targets in Denver yet and Bateman is on a low volume passing offense.  It isn't a terrible return but seems quite low to me.  Just feels like you can get more if you cash out on Kupp.  It feels like a 1st round pick shy (at least a 2nd in a deep 23 draft).

We don't really know that at all - Bateman's rookie season got off to a slow start due to injury but he looked good at the end and is now the Raven's WR1. Jeudy now enters the season as the potential WR1 for Russell Wilson - I think both can easily end the season as fantasy WR2s.

With all that said, I'd want more for Kupp if I owned him.

Oh I agree they both have potential.  I like Bateman a lot but I don't think a WR1 for the Ravens is a WR1 in fantasy.  I think Jeudy runs some of the best routes in the NFL but Sutton could still be the WR1 there, plus Russ does like the little fast guys like Hamler or even Patrick.

In the future that tandem could work out but last year or moving in to this year, I would not feel very comfortable with my team if those were my starting WRs (mine are Adams/Evans).  I get what you are saying and see the upside but I'm talking about what you have now and giving a stud like Kupp requires more (if only potential coming back then even more potential than that). Dude just had a triple crown year.  I will say there is no way he repeats that though.

12 TEAM SF, PPR

Team A gives: Christian Watson and Kenny pickett.

Team B gives: Chris Olave.
I am one of the bigger Olave supporters out there but this is a real bad use of an asset in Pickett …obviously QBs are gold in a SF and in a 12 team SF you should have about 3-5 teams that are in need of QB depth so no way should you be adding another quality prospect in Watson as well to get Olave…if you are dealing a legit QB in SF you gotta get the overpay and this is not that type of deal.

I agree with this - even if you aren’t a Pickett believer (I’m 100% not) you have to recognize his trade value in SF. While I prefer the Olave side, I’d want another piece or pick back, or a better caliber of WR.

12 team PPR 1QB, not involved

Team A gives Josh Allen

Team B gives CeeDee Lamb

Allen owner also has Burrow so could afford to deal one. Team B receiving Allen only had Brady, but now has only aging receivers (Adams, Hopkins, Thielen, Evans) left after giving Lamb.  Haven't seen too many stud QB trades in 1QB leagues so this one was interesting to me.

Feels like an overpay for Lamb regardless that it’s 1 QB, and regardless that they have Burrow, too.

The potential is certainly there for this to be an even deal, but Allen >> Lamb at this point.

Gimme Allen for this price all day.

I agree - but I suppose if someone thought Kenny was destined to bust (and trusted themselves and didn't care about "value") then I can see even in SF going with Olave.
I get that but then you are turning your nose up at value and either way we can only judge here on value.  Even if we think someone is going to be a bust, I wouldn't throw them away when there will be an owner that has some perceived value in the league.

This is interesting.  I can see both sides of this.  I'd probably want more for Allen if I were to trade him and for this package, I would have rather given up Burrow.  If I was the other person, I'd have wanted to keep Lamb and given older pieces.  I bet both teams are happy with it though.

I would never do this deal in a 1 QB league regardless if “value” is equal.

Lamb, and not at all close in 1QB. To give one data point, Lamb’s ADP per DLF is roughly 7th overall, Allen’s is 38th

Well I hear you but then it gets to be a strange question in the first place (posting a trade in this thread). Because I have zero shares of Pickett and a couple Watsons and I would slam both of those for Olave really really easily.

But if I somehow magically woke up with Pickett on my roster and someone offered me Olave for him and Watson, again I would slam it. But to your point he does have a market and so maybe could have got more. I guess.

Not sure how many in here actually play SF but I am adamant people overvalue mediocre QBs in the format. Let them roster them. Not a problem.

Horrible.  Like super stupid horrible

Allen short and long term for me.
He’s 30 this year.

2024 is 2 seasons away. It’s hard to know how early or late that pick might be.

Only way I’m investing in Allen is with a win-now roster.

Dionte still has upside and he just turned 26. The ‘23 2nd should be a player with some potential.

AJG doesn’t move the needle enough to comment.

This comes down to Allen/24 1st for Dionte. I’m a firm believer that even at his advanced age, Ben was able to make his WRs better. I’m not sure that will continue in Pittsburgh. I do know that Allen will be very good this year and probably a couple more. By then I’ll be drafting a replacement with my 24 1st.

I definitely have a win now roster. starting lineup of:

Russ/Tannehill/JT/Chubb/Chase/Hill/Diggs/Waller/Thielen/Allen

I had also traded away my 1sts the next 2 years so I was looking to recoup some draft capital. Thought this was a good move to stay competitive and start adding some ammo, even if it’s just more to trade for win now pieces.
