I don’t think I got a bargain, but I’m super happy with it. Bijan has a lot of shine, but I don’t know if he’ll deliver. Chase is a monster.

My personal choice would be easy but think they are basically dead even in value. No bargains either way just a fair deal to me. Couldn’t care less about Perry in a deal like this tbh.

Nope, not even a little. Especially in that format. First goal to me is making sure my most valuable pieces are exactly how I want them. Thats far more important to me than this type of in season issue.

Now, moving to the issue…It’s a funnel offense so as long as everyone is healthy they should both have excellent years. Maybe it limits your weekly upside a tad but it also raises the floor IMO. And obviously you can find an exit ramp somewhere and deal him if you’re not feeling it and if not, the problem solves itself next year anyway.

So H2H each week. Gotcha. FFPC does H2H the first playoff week, then the final four have a two week race for most cumulative points. It’s a great format IMO and reduces the luck factor. Anyway I was trying to say I’d be less bothered because you have two weeks for it to even out.

Team B couldn't keep any of those players they gave up in the deal for pick 1.01 They were all going back into the draft if no trade could be worked out. Team A will keep everyone but Lamar but that will give them matching rights on Lamar for the restricted free agent auction. Essentially they have the first right of refusal to match the winning bid for him in the draft. His current salary of $96 is cost prohibitive to keep him outright.

Yep, that tracks for FFPC leagues.

Depends on the buy in from my experience. The old $77 (now $100) and $250 leagues you see a lot of short term moves because it’s so easy to just bail on the league. I haven’t seen egregious things at the $500 level. Personally I think $1250 is the sweet spot. Good, active players and lots of deals going down. I haven’t gone any higher than that but have heard it grinds the action to a bit of a halt.

I mean, it’s also a real thing that while 1.12 is technically “a 1st round pick”, in a 12-team league it may as well be a 2nd to the person selling it. Tier breaks, caliber of player, some might argue the same for 1.10 or 1.11.

But to a buyer insisting on getting a 1st, it technically qualifies.

I suppose some of that could be considered mental justification, but if I’m selling future picks from a contending team, I’m absolutely more willing to give up a figure 1st if I believe it’ll be late. I’m in 2x 16 team leagues, so even more relevant since 1.13-1.16 are literally 2nd round picks in a 12-team format.

Rose colored glasses aside, Kmet has objectively had the better career so far and is going into a system with an arguably better QB. I wouldn't be super happy with either of these guys as my TE1, but if I had to choose, it would be Kmet.

First answer to your question is I'm a Notre Dame fan. So I'm in the business of collecting my Domers where I can and try to balance value so I'm not completely selling the farm to do so.

Second was Muth has been an ok asset for me for a few years now. Last year injuries hurt him and looking over at Kmet I see availability and an uptick in scoring year by year. Yes, Kmet is surrounded by a whole different cast this year but I'm essentially betting on rising tide lifting all boats (maybe fewer yards, more TDs). I figured it was a relatively even swap and a + 1 to my Domer count, but if I missed something big and got hosed I'm now curious what I might have missed

Here’s the thing. I am a Kmet shareholder. I believe he’s their best TE.

But they brought in a guy who’s getting more snaps.

Maybe that was an outlier preseason game. Maybe not. It did match what I’d heard rumored about Kmet being the Bears TE2.

But my Kmet ownership is in a start 2 TE, TEP league, so no one would be happier to be wrong than me.

Just the Everett singing & usage so far. But it isn’t the regular season yet. So maybe I’m off-base.

Agreed - I feel like if he’s a FF WR2 that’s what’s expected out of the trade.

That said, that’s also asking a lot with all of the mouths to feed in DET’s offense.

I think Jamo should be valued higher than Walker so this is like a free Spears to me, who I think matches Walker in scoring this year. Which means you could sort of call it a free Jamo too.

I agree about the mouths to feed problem in Detroit but I've been saying Jamo is going to eat out of LaPorta's pie. And even Josh Reynolds vacated targets and then I think now it's fair to say maybe a skosh out of Gibbs share. But that is still probably something like a WR2 and not elite.

But I think as a dynasty asset that isn't the case. He is uber talented and the kind of guy that can explode for 40 burgers. Second contract possibilities alone make him worth having on my bench over a RB that is imminently replaceable and the math says has an already ticking shelf life.

I also love Spears to crush this year.

Says you. And it's ok. But Walker has what maybe three years of solid to elite production IF everything continues to work out for him (and I don't fear it won't) compared to an ascending young WR on a strong offense. Simply from a dynasty franchise value perspective (which is how I do things around here) I have them as about equal. A possible tiebreaker for Walker is that he is a RB a possible tiebreaker for Jamo is that his WR arc can/will/might last much much longer. My tiebreaker is that he might be special and Walker is Walker (which I don't mind really).

My value system has Walker at 25 and Jamo at 27. Negligible difference but it is a very similar system as Hindery. Hindery has Walker at 17.5 and Jamo at 8.1 and Spears at 7.5 (I have Spears at 17) so Hindery would prefer the Walker side as well (and is a fan) 17.5-15.6 which I would argue is not a bad loss (on paper) to make a fair and speculative trade.

By my calc I won 44 to 32 which is around a free early second round pick. The 32 is from 25 for Walker and 7 for the roster spot that I took on by adding a player. That's a penalty.
