All has been quiet in the Eagles FO as they are preparing for the draft. From what I'm told they view their needs like this:
1. WR
2. S
3. OT
4. DE
This differs from their draft board, which looks like this:
1. OT
2. DE
3. WR
4. S
My guess is that they don't really think any WR that might be available to them at 19 is worth taking there.
From what Andy Reid told Schefter, he thinks that Philly has positioned themselves to go after BPA in the draft. I'm still hoping for a Draft Day (or near-Draft Day) trade for a legit NFL WR1, because that's the most pressing need by far.
Bennett still looks like an option in Round 2.
Any thoughts about what their views are on KR/PR?
For the BPA comment, I'm fairly certain that will be an OT. This draft is loaded with good ones. As for KR, the Wild Card here is if one of the stud CB's falls to them, especially if it's one who can return kicks. If I'm not mistaken, didn't Cromartie (sp?) return kicks? Of course they see it as a need, but they're not willing to burn a 1st and maybe not even a 2nd to fill that need.
As for getting an established WR, well, there doesn't seem to be any available. That might change come draft day. They have tried though.
Lastly, they're starting to get more inquiries about Lito. I absolutely expect to see him in a uniform other than Eagles Green this season. This'll make mose Birds fans puke, but the Cowboys have inquired about him. The Birds and 'Boys have dealt a few times in the past so, while improbable, it's not impossible.
