You can spot out enemies so they appear as red dots on the map and have a red symbol above their head. Also, if they're shot, they have a red symbol above their head. I hate that I'd have to buy the game just to see if it plays well on my PC, but that's pretty well standard for PC gaming.Did you play MW2? My biggest hurdle is just going to be adjusting to the new gameplay. Just like it was weird going from 1942 to BF2, it will be similar with this one, but nonetheless, this game will almost certainly own.
ADS is a toggle though, so that's good. I am having to re-think all my keyboard commands based on the crouch thing.

I never paid attention to the spot button in the configuration. I kept hitting Q which was the default in BF2 and got nuttin'. Then I saw a hint at the bottom that said to hit the Socialize button to do that and I was 
Guess I better figure out the socialize button. Gotta make sure to spot APC's, boats and jets where they aren't to keep with BF2 traditions.

It takes a lot of getting used to to move from PC to console shooters. I find mouse/keyboard a lot easier than controller. But for some reason, console users won't dare to try a mouse/keyboard configuration.

This game is going to take alot of getting used to. I think the destructible environment is great. The weapons are incredibly weak. The character models arent as good as MW2. But I am willing to keep trying. Running in BF:BC2 is like quicksand compared to MW2, but is more realistic. I hope they tweak it a bit more with patches right after launch. This game will give MW2 a run for its money.

There was an update today that at least allows the friend requests to go through - that might help.I still cannot find the Socialize key - anyone? I did not see it in the controls anywhere.

I find the weapon to do good damage but you have to burst fire if you not really close to them. Also, range plays a big part on the accuracy of your shots it seems, can't just hold down the trigger like MW2. I didn't really notice running to be much different and I like it since it makes squad play more important.

Q defaults to issue order. Maybe you have to be a squad leader?Okay ETA I got it it's smart so just mouse over a target and hit QI don't know how to ask for ammo or anything though.Also, my games now are not keeping score..

Just did a round with TLEF, well not quite a round, but anyway, it was a pure snipe fest and without my mic at work, decided to join the head plinking fun.
Wasn't a very good team player.

i got friend requests from both you guys today, and i thought i accepted them, but it didnt work.
And yeah, that match was a drag. Our team sucked. At one point, i planted the bomb and killed 6 guys in a row coming through the door. Of course nobody showed up to help me and # 7 killed me while i was reloading.
Once all those trees go down in front of the hill, the attackers are dead. You cant cover that much open ground.
My internet connection is a little better today and it appears i'm killing a little easier. My complaints about the power of the weapons may have been slightly pre-mature.

Yeah. As you know I have been playing the engineer class. The default weapon is garbage unless you stick it in your opponents face. The SCAR-L is a little better. It really stinks that there isnt a launcher that can get a lock on the choppers. Using the tracer gun to tag the chopper is really tough.I just need to give this game a little more time. Jumping back and forth from MW2 to BF:BC2 is tough.

IMO, this map is painfully unbalanced in favor of the defense. You have to cover 200 yards of ground before you even reach a building. Meanwhile, they're firing from a heavy tree line or elevated buildings.
Honestly, if i am on an attacking team with more than 1 sniper, i'm pretty sure i'm just gonna switch sides.
Why any attacking player would choose sniper against a team with unlimited respawns is beyond me.

The 8800GT is throwing all kind of artifacts all over the place. TLEF, what driver are you using (think you have 8800GT)? I have a widescreen and bumped it down from the normal 1330ish by 768 to 1268 by 768 with medium settings. The frame rate is acceptable, I just have giant flashes of red and black and yellow flying all around. Makes it hard to shoot

I just downloaded the 196.34 beta and my issues are gone. Great looking game, even on Medium. May bump it up a little since I have the new drivers.

Well I accepted some friend requests, but the only friend that shows up is GatorShawn. Not sure what the deal is.Also not a huge fan of Rush. Would also like some hints on what keys to use to use in game chat, typing, spotting others. Can't find the config file.Game feels like BF though, so I'm looking forward to the final release.

If you hover over an enemy you see, hit Q, and it will target them for everyone. Then you get points if someone kills them and bonus points if it's your squad. This is great on defense in the map because you can make a decent round just spotting guys as they parachute down.

I'm still playing occasionally. It's a bit frustrating being locked into that map and the defending side is almost always full when I try to switch. I've still not had any luck with my in-game friends list or making a squad in-game with friends.everyone giving up already?

That's the most frustrating thing. Once it really drops it's going to be on. Glad I found the drivers (thanks to you) otherwise I may have dropped a few hundred on a new video card. Still may, but not a necessity now.

You were listed in my friend list. I pressed a button and joined your game. I was on the other team for the first game, then switched to your side for the 2nd.My gaming time is just really limited right now. I will hit it when I can, but won't be most nights.

honestly, i may not even buy the video card either. I'm maxed out resolution wise(thanks to a 2 year old monitor, thats onlt 1600X1050) and i can get some settings on high. Not sure some more AA and more detailed shadows are worth a $300 investment right now (2 months from losing my job and all). We'll see what it looks like on retail.

well, i work for a large insurance carrier. In September, we were told that they're consolidating my department from 36 branches to 12. NJ is not one of the 12. I interviewed for a transfer to another branch but it appears i didn't get it. (wont find out for certain until this week, but i was told they offered it to someone else) turns out i wasn't able to hide my lack of enthusiasm for moving out of state very well. They were afraid I'd take the job, be miserable and quit. The truth is i didn't want to move, but there was a lot of financial incentive to do so. (likely a 15-20% raise plus a 5 figure, tax free, relocation bonus) That was really my only motivation. We're expecting to get our 60 day notice this week. At this point, our last day is April 9th. I'll get severance and a staying bonus if i stay till the end (plus a performance bonus in the next week or so) so i'll have enough $$ to get by for roughly 3-4 months after we are let go. I'm just now starting to get serious about getting my resume out there. My parents have a lot of connections in the industry. However, i'm also coming up with a non-insurance resume so that i can explore other options.

Played a little bit on the 360 this morning. Not completely hooked yet but I did kind of like it. Although I'm not completely sure what I'm doing.

What disappoints me is that I die too much. Do you think EA or DICE could do something about that?Seriously though. It is a good looking game. I really enjoyed BF:BC1 and I think I will enjoy this one as well. Gonna have to wait a wihile to get it though as I am immersed in MW2 and now ME2.

I have player 4 sessions of this about a hour each. Three times have been a blast and one was boring. Of the three times that were great I had FBGs in my squad for two and we were rolling together in a vehicle or on foot. The other I lucked out and found some randoms that used the mic. Playing by myself was tough since every squad I was in comprised of snipers who would not go for the objective.

Rush is not the best mode. I sure hope they have the conventional capture the flag/base type style.
