Did you put it up on Ebay? All the ones on Ebay seem to be the higher core (216 I think). I've got $85 and change in my PayPal account, thinking about dropping $15 more in there. The game is causing a hard system lock (3 times in last 4 days). Have to cut power to reboot. I may try reinstalling the game.So if there is no interest in the GTX 260 I am just gonna throw it up on Ebay later today. Let me know if that changes.
No I brought it home intending to throw it in my son's system, then I reconsidered and was gonna take it back to the office to throw up next week. It is a great card, to be sure. Has a full lifetime warranty so if it ever gives up the ghost, BFG will send you a new one, which would then be the 216 core anyway. Win-win-win.Did you put it up on Ebay? Reinstalling the game now. Got rid of the spawn lags by excluding the BC2 folder in my documents from AVG.I'm on the fence for the 260. Huh? Please explain.Reinstalling the game now. Got rid of the spawn lags by excluding the BC2 folder in my documents from AVG.
As you could tell, I was getting frustrated because my ping would shoot to 999 every time I respawned, it made me unable to move for 5 - 10 seconds (resulting in a lot of deaths).Found on the steam forum excluding the BC2 folder in "My Documents" gets rid of the problem, and that is true. Now, I can't get the game from locking up my system. It has locked up 4 times today (only when I play BC2). Reinstalled, and that didn't help. Not sure what to do now.Huh? Please explain.Reinstalling the game now. I will try to update the first post with all the FBG's and their game ID's so you can send friend invites to them. I will throw the vent info there as well.Is there some list of players or server I should be looking for? I'm scared to jump into an online game with a bunch of strangers. I'd much rather get blown up and shot by my fellow FBGs.

right now. I was playing Rush on Arica, and was attacking on the 2nd set of M-COMs. Got into the 2nd building on the left side of the road that goes down the middle and started firing into groups of snipers and other such on those 2 under construction buildings. I was MOWING them down after 2-3 quick bursts. Ran up a streak of like 10 kills, all with the M-416. It was a thing of immense beauty.
I got mine on Port Valdez too, except what I did was flank around the back at the first set of M-COMs as attacker and used the defending team's stationary MG. Just shot at everyone who was defending B. Easy 5 kills. I think I got 8 or so before someone finally killed me.That was a fun one to get.Still won't help him get the stationary gun pin.Congratulations Corporation!MadcowEgg has sent your package. Got it on Port Valdez as a defender, 2nd set of M-COMs there is a hill attackers pour over with several stationary guns in place. You can mow them down from there.
It is my experience with this game that very few people use in-game chat, but that is on PC. Most PC gamers are in some sort of VOIP program like TS or Ventrilo and are already talking to guys they know. I have heard in-game voice used only a handful of times.Noob question, but do I have to push something to talk? I was just in a game with Rev. I heard somebody who I thought was him, but he never responded to anything I said. I also have never heard anybody else except for the 1 time I was in a party with a few people.
Seems pretty silly since this game appears to be all about team work. On the 1 or 2 FBG games I have been in, we dominated. Mostly through co-ordinated attacks.Every game since, either my team sucks, I suck, or we get rolled. It is my experience with this game that very few people use in-game chat, but that is on PC. Look for an incoming friend invite. (Ajax35)i rock this game on ps3 easedel
While in a squad you can hear the other 3 people in game chat if they are in it. Many times people are in party chat especially if they are trying to get 5+ people working together in two squads. If you are not in a squad you can hear everyone else on you team who is also not in a squad.STEADYMOBBIN 22 said:Noob question, but do I have to push something to talk? I was just in a game with Rev. About had a meltdown on Sunday. Dude just kept sniping me as I tried to get it, and then people started bailing. Guy was my nemesis so I hunted him down and stabbed him. Took forever because he was so far back it kept saying I was out of bounds, and they weren't blowing up the MCOM stations. Finally I self destructed our own MCOM, and that allowed me to go back and kill him.Mad Cow said:That was a fun one to get.Nick Vermeil said:Still won't help him get the stationary gun pin.Mad Cow said:Congratulations Corporation!MadcowEgg has sent your package. I have one more nemesis payback to get that one, then a host of others. I have a truckload of combat excellence pins to get, for sure. Plus those 2 plat stars, didnt have any problem with the stationary gun pin. Those things dont kill as quickly as they look like they should, but it was still pretty easy to get. Pretty sure i did it on my first try. I do still need to get the Gold star for stationary weapons. I think i need like 8 more kills. I really hope they release some larger updates for this game that add more unlocks and awards. For Bf2, there were awards that took hundreds and hundreds of hours to get. Not so much in Bc2. Other than the award for 100 MCOM destructions, i should have all the awards pretty soon. (assuming i can get a few more people to be my nemesis)

I only went for it once, and determined I would get it (or so I thought). It was on Isla Innocents, and the mounted gun has no protection. Was not well thought out on my part.I'm with Cow, I was surprised when I looked down and saw that I didn't have the SMG pin so I decided to direct some gameplay. I have no idea when I'll get the road hazard one, that one will be completely random unless I just keep going for it. Need one more nemesis to get the payback pin.Is the stationary gun pin that hard to get? There are a ton of them on Port Valdez if you're defending. First base: There's an armor-protected gun in the three story building at the back of your base. Not very accurate and attackers tend to go after it with the UAV, but at least you don't get picked off easily by snipers. There are also two AT guns (sniper magnets) and a heavy MG in the house to the left of the construction building. Second base: There are two heavy MGs in the house just below the hill on the defender's left (in front of Bravo). There's also an armor-plated MG and an AT gun near Alpha, but those seem less useful for getting kills. Third base: The AT gun on the top of the building behind Alpha is money, especially if your teammates are keeping the enemy pinned back near their base a bit. I've had rounds where I've gotten 4 or 5 vehicle destructions just with this, each one being worth at least one kill. Fourth base: Heavy MG on top of Bravo, a heavy MG on the second story of the building near Alpha, and a somewhat-useless AT gun at the top of the main hill. If you really want the pin for 5 stationary gun kills, just get on a mounted gun every chance you get and shoot at anything that comes into sight. I would think you'd pick it up fairly easily, although you'll probably be some sniper's new best friend as well.
MadCowEgg, do you have a tracking number? Thanks for the converter by the way, I have one currently powering the 8800gt, does the GTX 260 take 2 power inputs?C4 kills will take me forever, since to date I have zero.Gimme my mortar baby!

Dang, what happened? Maybe we can do some CPR until your new system can be built. My PC crashed hard this weekend. It will be a couple of days till I get a new Mobo and get back to gaming![]()
The BIOS on the Mobo (Asus P5N-E SLI) somehow got scrambled. My hard drive was showing up under USB ports. I tried to do a reformat and load new mobo drivers but that didn't help. Now it won't even boot up past BIOS. As soon as the boot sequence gets to BIOS the whole system just shuts down. I can't even get into BIOS to restore to defaults or flash it with a new BIOS version.Mad Cow said:Dang, what happened? I got this on Arica Harbor Rush (attackers), by hopping in a humvee and just whipping around to the back of the first base looking for people to run over. It was trickier than I thought it would be and I just barely got it before we ran out of tickets. Also, I felt like a total ####### the whole time because of course this did nothing to help my team -- which probably didn't matter because we were getting steamrolled anyway -- and because one of my random squadmates would occasionally spawn in the vehicle with me not realizing that I was basically on a suicide mission just to get this stupid pin. I'm not even sure why I wanted it in the first place because I don't play Conquest so I'm not going to get all the pins anyway. But the good news is that the Road Kill pin is mine and nobody can ever take that away from me.I have no idea when I'll get the road hazard one, that one will be completely random unless I just keep going for it.

Joining a random game on your own results in being placed in a total mis-match at least 80% of the time. And most of those times you'll be on the losing end since people tend to leave losing teams -- opening up a spot for you to join -- but they stay with winning teams. It's hard to do anything productive when you're on the losing side of a lopsided match. I usually just screw around by trying to get into their base or by sniping or something until I can find a better game.Todem said:Ok...need to take a week off...I find myself starting to get frustrated if I am not in a good squad....really kills the game for me these days. i got in in a tank on Atacama. Ran down a couple of stragglers between A and B. I finally ran someone down right on the flag at B and got lucky because 2 more guys spawned just as i ran the guy over. Have you tried resetting the CMOS?
