The last round of DLC looks promising. Not sure when the release date is.:( Last post July?
Hey...I still play, I think I jumped in a server with you earlier this week (maybe last - I haven't played a lot recently because I've been working too much and don't want to touch the computer when I get home, even for games). Still enjoying it when I get the chance though, it really is a good game when you find some decent servers, and while I didn't join the CTE (test) servers, I hear good things about the patch coming out.I still play a few times a week but nobody else is ever on.
The new dlc does look fun and they're about to release a huge patch the implements all the changes and fixes they've been testing on the cte servers.
The launch was obviously horrendous but bf4 is a strong game. I enjoy it a lot
I haven't been on very much in the last month or so. I'm going to re-dedicate myself to it this weekend. anyone jumping on tonight?Hey...I still play, I think I jumped in a server with you earlier this week (maybe last - I haven't played a lot recently because I've been working too much and don't want to touch the computer when I get home, even for games). Pretty sure this is the most played BF game for me, which is surprising given all the early problems.
If it works like XB360, you have to do it from the main BF4 menu. You either start a squad or let it search your friends and join an existing squad.Anyone help me figure out how to get into a squad/party with people on XB1? TIAs.
F'n next gen.
Cool. One of the things I have done to avoid freezes when new DLC comes out is to delete all the previous updates, not the DLC packs but the updates. Then dowload the new DLC or update. I was having terrible problems when the Second Assault pack came out with freezes and the colors going all whacked out. Did this and havent really had problems since.I've played a bit the last few weeks, but since the Dragon's Teeth content came out, I've had lots of freezes (again). If I try to play anything but the original map pack, I get a freeze almost every time, and there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it, that I've noticed. The good news is that Dawnbreaker is now fixed, so at least there's that. Hoping the upcoming patches help with the freezes, because they had gotten better before the last patch.
Spanky, Dragon's Teeth maps are decent, I think. Pros and cons to each, depending on your play style, but overall, I was pleased with them.
My kids got me Hardline on pre-order for Father's Day/birthday, so I guess I'm in on that one too. Here's hoping they don't screw it up.
Yeah, ever since you recommended that, I've done that as well, and it has worked beautifully until this last patch. Idk, maybe I missed a file. I'll try deleting files again and reinstall and see if that helps.Cool. I'll have to give it a try. I dont have alot of free time right now because its football season. So when I do get on I've been playing WoT. But I'll be back. Hardline does look interesting.
Its possible. Its really tragic that EA & DICE cant figure out how to do these updates so that they dont cause major problems for those of us on console. I really love the battlefield series and its a shame that a game with so much awesome potential can be so buggy at times.Yeah, ever since you recommended that, I've done that as well, and it has worked beautifully until this last patch. I wouldnt mind the gunship if it werent so difficult to shoot down on some maps. Its constantly out of range of ground based AA weapons like stingers and iglas.Nothing annoys me more than getting killed by some scrub in the gun ship.
I cannot think of another GPU that was greater for its cost
erformance ratio ever.
Only in BF. . .Gosh. I just picked up two 770's about 10 months ago too. Now what do I do? Do I continue living like an animal with two 770's? Or do I upgrade like a real man to the two 970's?Hoping to hit the Battlefield again soon, so in preparation for that and other games, I grabbed 2 of these new bad boys.I cannot think of another GPU that was greater for its cost

The pressure is too intense to stay in the Dark Ages of the 770's. I don't want to be laughed at on these boards for owning such out-dated hardware.I think you know the answer to that.Gosh. I think I'm burnt out on Battlefield games for now, but I'm looking forward to Battlefront.Star Wars : Battlefront Holiday 2015, next real Battlefield holiday 2016.
I imagine BF4 will keep my interest among other games until that Star Wars release. Looks good so far.
I would love one! Played the original on PS3 but never played any of the DLC and I haven't seen it on the next gen system.Could any of my FBG BF buddies use a code for a free PS4 copy of Last of Us Remastered? I would as soon give it to one of you as anyone else.

They will never come in regular play unless you put in the password for each stage. I could have had half of them done if that was the case, I use the LMG quite a bit.Yeah those phantom assignments are ridiculous. My son is chasing them but I figure I have no prayer so if they come in regular play I'll just be surprised.
It looks like fun. And it gives me a goal in-game that's different than the "just jump in and play" aspect. The bow is apparently horrible anyway (unlike the xbow in bf3, which was great) so I don't see the point
Oh I know. My son entered in the passwords right after they were known for me.They will never come in regular play unless you put in the password for each stage. I recommend playing Air Superiority for the jet kills. It took me a bunch of rounds, but I finally got the hang of it. I have heatseakers equipped but I get way more kills using the guns flying in third person view. Once you can get good with the guns, you can kick some butt. It's still hard to get the 5 in one round for a ribbon (at least, it is for me) because the rounds end fairly quickly (at least on XB360)Trying to unlock the Phantom Bow, this is kinda ridiculous. First you have to put passwords in on Battlelog, then there are 4 assignments. 200 pistol kills (pistol/knife server, done), 20 jet kills...I don't know if I have 20 jet kills ever in BF4. Then another 200 LMG kills (Locker time) and shotgun ribbons, and more. Wish me luck on the jet kills, who knows, maybe I'll finally unlock the UCAV while I'm at it (need 3 jet ribbons).
Got some free time again, so I'm back playing again a few times a week probably.
Finally picked up the 39" 4K Seiki monitor, got it for right around $300 after taxes (was $339 at Walmart, I complained about a dead pixel and they gave me 20% off because they didn't have any more in stock. I still have to play at 1920x1080, the 4K resolution only runs at 30Hz. Fine for reading, web, etc, but not for games. And my computer can't really push 3840x2160 pixels in a 3D game anyways. It is pretty glorious, although it did take a lot of futzing with the settings to get it to look good as a monitor. It's pretty awesome when I'm working on it, I can have all kinds of things open at once.
I finally got the 20 jet kills. No ribbons along the way, and it seemed every AS server I joined had a group of people trying to get their kills and 2 or 3 really good pilots who rack up 50-60 kills per round. But I'm ready to give up - I read the final assignment - you have to find a random dogtag, find 3 other people with the other 3 and then take an elevator ride. Yeah, i doubt I'll ever get the Phantom Bow either. But I have seen some servers in the browser that are labeled as "Phantom Bow tag search only" so might be able to get lucky and get in with some people, but I'm not too worried about it. I just need about 5 more roadkills and I'll have all of the other ones completed, so I'll settle for that.I finally got the 20 jet kills. There are videos for how most of the passwords were figured out, some of them are crazy. Remember the first of these assignments came out like a year ago, so they were discovered over the last year as each one was released.I'm just curious how the hell people figured out the Phantom bow steps. Surely there must have been some insider help. I know in the past they posted clues in the forum, but still.
I just got an email for it. I may see if I can get on tonightHardline beta out on all platforms, supposedly. Anybody given it a shot on the consoles?
Hardline feels terrible on the xbox one. My buddy feels the same way and said it feels circa 2005 without imagination. I told him that does a disservice to the great fps games back then, Hardline, well at least Heist mode is just bad and I love objective based modes. Kind of disappointed in it. The gunplay and even the classic Battlefield "feel" is missing. BC3 please.
