My best round is 85 i think.The only thing I can think of is that somehow while playing PR (Project Reality mod) it uploaded some stats to the official game servers. PR has it's own scoring system and 400 is about average for that.

Now if I can only figure out what server it was, I can make first sargent by the end of the week! /jk

gg guys. Sorry i ended up on the other team. Also, playing classes you arent good at gets alot harder at night. Plus, my team sucked, so we lost our tank spawn in the first 2 minutes.

I really hate 64 player karkand for that. Makes it almost impossble for the MEC to defend both the hotel and the back island. Any decent US team can run right over them with a little organization.

Got to be a little fun sniping other FBGs though, eh? Mad Cow, I think MadViking said he plays as well, but I don't know his user name. I'll see if he posted it.

I have had the game since release, but have played sparingly. However, last night, I jumped in for an hour or so and had a great time. The graphics look amazing on my home gaming system.

Anyway, I am pretty efficient at FPS games, but I was getting all over the place. What are the keys here? Is there a particular class that seems to be better than others? I know there is sort of a rock-paper-scissors that they wanted, but what class tends to dominate more? I would usually end up around the middle of the team in scoring by the end of each round, so not bad since I have not played it in forever, but am wanting to increase my skillz.

it probably isnt, but i wasnt about to just let him sit there while i struggled to get a kinfe badge. When i got mine, i only killed the AFK guy 2 or 3 times. will be on today, but probably not tonight.

Besides, according to the ROE I read, the server is only violating the ROE IF te server forces you to use knife or pistol. You could go into that server and start throwing down C4 and if they kicked you for not using knife or pistol, THEN and only THEN are they violating the ROE.

I keep hoping they drop it at some point. It's only 10K more to get Lieutenant. I could understand if the gaps kept getting wider or if they wanted to keep SgtMaj exclusive and give you an option to to the officer ranks instead of SgtMaj.

I have the joystick axis setup for pitch and roll in jets. And then joy buttopn one for fire, and button two for switch weapons, and three for alternate. Then I remapped the arrow keys for wasd. I moved flares to right ctrl and afterburners to right shift.

Sure in the control.con under My Documents/Battlefield 2/Profiles there are different sections like:ControlMap.create AirPlayerInputControlMap

Each of those sections contain the controls for that type of vehicle. Here's my profile for Helicopter and Jets. I left out some of the stuff, but if you look at the bolded line, to compare.

Under Air Player, I have my Pitch mapping to GameController_0 Axis 1, which is the Y axis in the Jet (X axis is Axis 0). Under Helo, my Pitch mapping is Mouse_0 Axis 1, which is front and back with the mouse. *BUT* Since you can have two "keys" mapped to the same command, I also have Joystick mapped in Helo.

GS, did you ever come across the reverse axis problem? In other words, turn the stick to the left and the plane goes to the right? I tried everything to correct it and finally said forget it.

I did, and I think I figured out how to fix it. Basically, at least in my case, I just pushed the wrong way on the joystick when setting it up, but it can be hard to tell since it just says Axis 1 or Axis 0 and doesn't say left/right/up/down/etc.Go into your control panel, and select alternate control (so you don't mess up the current/regular keyboard controls) and kick in the box for up. Then press the joystick up. It should fill in both the Up and Down boxes with Axis # (0 or 1 probably). Then do the same thing for right, and make sure to press the joystick to the right.

What was happening for me is I would just tap the joystick left/right for the right (or left) control box, figuring that the game would be able to know that right should be right and left should be left, but it can't figure that out. It sets it exactly as you press it.

If you still have your old settings in there, you may try clearing them out and start fresh also. Also check the Invert Mouse checkbox if you want your up/down for your joystick to be inverted. (it won't affect left/right, I checked this when I was trying to figure all this out.)

Thats what worked for me. I hope that long worded explanation helps and makes some sense and helps fix your problem. It makes sense when you are looking at it, but is kinda hard to explain.

I use a joypad, and it just sits above my keyboard. Once I jump in a heli/jet, I just grab that and fly, no keyboard. I have some of the buttons mapped to flares, afterburner, change weapons, etc., but still need to hit the keyboard if I want a different camera angle or something (which I never do).

I'm trying for Aerial Service, but its hard. I think yo need to play in a crowded server and be lucky enough to get(keep) the Jet long enough. I tried a less crowded server thinking I would have abetter chance of getting the jet. This is true, but there's also less targets.

The kills will mostly come from bombing....Wetlands also has Mobile AA :(

The problem with dying, is that each time, given the delay in the spawning of planes, you run the risk of losing the plane. My last round in Wake, I only went 7-0 but I didn't give up the plane until the very end when we lost Airfield and I bailed out to cap the flag back.

haha, no he isnt in a clan. BFL is just something he made up. When he used to play team fortress classic, he made up a clan named team fortress legends just to get attention. BFL stands for battlefield legends and it isnt real. I havent played with him much lately, but he claims to be much better since getting the first medic unlock. He does a decent job racking up revives and heals, but he cant shoot to save his life.

5 more hours of sniper to go. I think im gonna spend my anti-tank hours commanding because i hate the guns and need the commander hours

I hate infantry servers where a couple of wankers jump in tanks and ruin it all. You want to be a good sport and not use tanks, so you use the assault or medic kits, and then come the numbnuts with their tanks and wipe you out repeatedly. I kinda like playing infantry only, but that sucks.

A little patience and an AA battery will do wonders. When you see a chopper, try to get a lock on it as far away as possible - as soon as the chaff is let out, get out, 'cause he will be looking for you. Go prone. Wait 3 seconds, jump back in, fire both and he will be dead.
