If you're a big George W. Bush fan, we won't get along. Really.
did Krista say that if you are a dubya supporter you are pretty much off her radar?
Apparently. I guess she did not read my post about not talking politics.
I don't recall reading that, actually, but it would make no difference. I don't want to "talk" politics with anyone on there, but the fact is that if someone is not fairly liberal, we are likely not going to be a good match, and if someone is a GWB fan...NFW.
when you mention loving/hating any politician in your intro, it makes it seem you are very involved and care a lot about politics. it sounds like that wasnt your intent. I would recommend removing it and at least wait to pass judgement until date 2.
But I LOVE passing judgment!I realize it sounds contradictory, but what I'm saying is this: I am not one to spend a bunch of time debating politics with anyone (you won't see me in political threads here, for the most part), but I do have very strong views on political issues and could not date anyone whose views were not as least somewhat aligned with mine. Might as well blow the GWB lovers out of there up front, because they will not get anywhere.
this is crazy talk. How can politics be that important?

And what views could be so liberal that middle ground couldnt be found? Really about the only way I cant see people getting along here on this stuff would be if one party supported abortion so much so that she went around to elementary schools and told kids all about it and the other person was an abortion clinic bomber.

I realize we are talking about GWB lovers, which cant really still be around, but it sounds like you would summarily dismiss republicans as well and I just cant see that being rational.

I am also now of course dying to know what these issues could be. I know obviously you are big into charity, even if their effiency ratings suck(see Woz).

Could some of you guys PM me a link to your profile...I hate writing about myself and don't really know where to start. I'd really appreciate it :kicksrock:

Krista, once I get it done I'd like to have you review it if you don't mind.

how can you grow up in WI and not have any cheese curds ever??
GROW UP IN WISCONSIN? Oh HELL no.I've been here for two months, gb.
ok, even then... HTF can you move to WI and not have cheese curds shoved down your throat??? That's our traditional greeting....
I was too rushed when Keys picked me up for the cornhole.Usually it would have gone like this.me:Hey Keys nice to meet you. How long have you been in WiscoK:2 monthsme: U Have cheese curds yet?K:no.me: Eat these now. Sorry GB you are just gonna have to trust me. Otherwise I will have stryker kick your butt and then you may actually have some body hair. Now lets go get some wimmens.

I have friends who are Republicans. It's not one particular issue so much as being too large a difference in overall worldview and values, and I think it's best to date people that share your values.

As for GWB, without getting into political debate here, my humble opinion is that a person thinks he is a good president is a complete moron. Call me picky if you will, but I don't like to date complete morons.

Speaking of great, creative messages... I got this one last night.

Subject: HI Sent Date: 8/22/2007 9:13:49 PM

HI
So I figured, heck she's kinda cute I'll shoot off a quick reply...
Hi to you as well. How are you today?
Read DeletedWTF? No idea what's going on here. Why send a message if you're not interested?
I have had the same recently. A girl adds me favs. I write her a decent 3-4 sentence note and get the same thing. Read Deleted
Oh yeah, that's another confusing thing. I sent a cute, tall (5'11") chick a message last Friday. She read it (maybe a day or two later, don't really remember), didn't reply or delete. Then last night she added me as a favorite. But she still didn't reply.
Yet 90% of the female profile read. I hate the "games".Yeah....OK.

CHICKS!!! Can't with them...pass the beer nuts.

I've found that when people, both male and female, say they "hate playing games" they usually mean they hate it when OTHER people play games with them, although they rationalize their own "game-playing" one way or another

i figured this would be what you were getting at. I didnt really think you valued certain political issues that highly. You have values, those are super important to you. Some of those values get associated with political issues.

As far as the GWB thing i completely get what you are saying.

The owner of this crappy company I wont be working for after next friday, is a die hard republican. I tease him about how it is ok for him to stay republican and make fun of Dubya.

What's with all the Giant Wooden Badger hating going on in here? Dude seems like a nice i-guy
That's it; I'm not going to iDate you. :hot:
how about a real date with me instead? :excited:
LB, why don't you stick with blonde2?This endless haranguing of Krista is getting downright tiresome...
:lmao:
Sorry GB, but as Clint said:"A man's gotta know his limitations."

Okay, so whenever I make first contact with a guy (as opposed to him making first contact with me), I never get an answer! Maybe I am just initially contacting the wrong ones!

Welcome to our world.
LOL - Keys beat me to it. I have 6 pages of sent emails, and 1 page of received (which include multiple emails from different people).
Mine runs at:Sent 5 pages.Received 3 pages. Mostly girls whom I am not interested in.I actually got a Unviewed Deleted the other day.Was like

I've only had like 5 read deleteds...

and I have like 20 reads, but not deleted, on POF...

on eharmony I have tons of them just sitting htere with me sending communication one and no answer....

lol...I don't even bother to initiate. It's not worth the time and I get better prospects by sitting back and letting them contact me first.

FWIW, I seem to lower my standards a little for girls who make the effort to make first contact. And even still, 3 of 14 isn't a very high percentage.Apparently women have lower standards, since I'm seeing a positive reply rate of nearly 50%.Edit to add: this is on POF. I struck out at an astounding rate at yahoo.

I was kind of surprised I lost this girl. I don't think she's out of my league looks wise at all, but maybe she disagrees.

There's a man in a tie standing behind you. I'm not sure what he's doing, but he looks a little shady.

I also should tell you I really enjoyed reading your profile. You sound like a great girl, who definitely has her head on straight. I'd like to think I fit what you're looking for, but take a look at my profile and let me know.

Look forward to talking to you soon,

Stu
Read DeletedFigured I'd be right in her wheelhouse. Tall, 30s, intelligent, good career... :pickle: Maybe it's the kid thing.

Normally I don't initiate first contact - I can count on the fingers of one hand the times that I have. Usually it is because I see something interesting in the guy's profile. And if a guy says he wants a "thin" or "fit" or "in-shape" woman, I leave him alone. ;)

I generally reply to people who write me, unless they're old enough to be my father or their first message is "How big are your boobs?" or something like that.

Great opening......love it!!My only suggestion is to try and ask a question so that they have something easy to respond to.

Yeah, I almost always ask a question. Not sure why I didn't here. Kinda took the sincere route (other than the opening) which isn't my normal shtick.
