After reading the last few pages I have some statements to make:1) Mr. Ham is Pantangele. 2) Nipsey is neither Mr. Ham nor Pantangele.3) Mr. Ham is smarter than Nipsey, but Nipsey is more clever than Mr. Ham.3) I can not talk bad about a restaurant that's about to pay me thousands and thousands of dollars for one day of work, but I don't eat there and probably never will.4) Capella's drawing was awesome.5) I can't get free stuff for the restaurant/product in the commercials. I've done a bunch of spots and never once have been offered any merch. I do occasionally get to keep the clothes from the spot (usually the shoes).6) Started up on a 6 when he pulled from the clouds, and then I moved in above him.7) GB Sharday.

Maybe you can be in a new Wendy's spot..they got rid of that Mr. Wendy shtick, right? Maybe they just had the wrong guy to play that.

I was right there for Mr. Wendy, met the ad people and everything. The guy who booked it has the same agency I do. Huge gig for him, could have been 7 figures if it had kept going inot year 2. He kind of got hung out to dry, the spots sucked, didn't make him look to good. I thought they'd be much funnier. The director was Robert Weide, he directs a lot of Curb Your Enthusiasms so everyone thought it was going to be a great campaign. I remember watching the first one thinking how lame it was.

I think the definition is more for WIS purposes than anything else. WIS makes you have 3 RP that they think are RP (though that definition is somewhat vague). If they don't think he was ever a RP than you can't use him over there. I think that's the constraint everyone has been working under. If you can find a guy over there with his 3rd or worse (I'm not trying to start this argument over again) who had a season which they classify as a RP go for it. This would include guys like Pedro BTW. I personally don't have any problem with a staff of all SP, but WIS won't allow it.

thanks. i checked my pitching staff last night to add my last couple of picks - turns out that I wont have 3 eligible relievers as it is already (unless I missed something). As I said to you in PM, not sure how our rules will end up translating to WIS. I might have to just get a WIS reliever that isnt even on my team? Im not worrying about it.For now, I would like to know what is "fair" so I dont end up with only one "official" reliever, since i know some in this draft will jump up and down how that is not fair.Then again, if 5 teams already only have one, or no "official" relievers (again, I dont know how to judge, as we dont have a rule that I know of) then I dont want to be forced to take a reliever only when I can take someone how mostly started in their career.As of now, unless Cap tells me otherwise, Ill go with the best pitcher and deal with WIS later. Like you said, in WIS Pedro is considered ok for relief - so they seem to have a pretty arbitrary system.

I just want to add that I personally drafted 3 RP for the sim, but I don't think it really matters one way or the other. I think we talked about this about 100 pages ago, but these 9th and 10th pitchers will probably play once a week in mop-up roles. I'd be very surprised if any of these guys are central to any team. The positional guys may be a little different, but there is only so many lefty-righty subs you can or would want to make. Even though I have Rizzuto, he's just not going to play that often.

For pitchers, starters = 5 best pitchers, key bench = next 2, and scrub bench = rest. For batters, starters = best player at each position; key bench = best backups at catcher, middle infield, corner (1b/3b), and OF.I then ranked teams within each grouping (Batting starters, batting key bench, etc) by several metrics that i have in a database. I'd like to see them myself.FWIW, the rankings I posted earlier for Career Win Shares and 3rd Best Win Shares Season were correct. Only the WS/162 was inaccurate.

Probably a good idea to go to 3, considering there is probably a Key Lefty a Key Righty and a Closer in most teams bullpen arrangment. Leaving two remaining guys for spot start and long relief duty.(assuming a 10 man staff, did anyone go 10+?)
