Taurasi's Troopers get a 4-1 opening day win. 7 strong from Fergie and a lot of help from Pumpnicks defense (4 errors). Tris Speaker gets offensive player of the day for me going 2-4 w/ 2 runs scored and an RBI. The heart of the order was 6-12 so that's encouraging as well.

I can't help it that my guys take the night off when Mordecai is busy two-hitting people. I'd prefer they hit always, and not just when the run support is needed, but it's nice just knowing that they will if they ever have to (which is fairly unlikely).Gotta love a guy who can still talk #### after Les Straker holds his all star team to two runs.4 hits? Made a slight correction. Scott Sanderson held my squad scoreless for 5 or 6 innings :rotflmao: . Bad news Harrier. I don't have Java installed on any of my 3 computers at work. (boo!) I attempted to install myself, but was unable because I don't have the proper administrative rights. I contacted our tech support area to get someone to remote in and install, but depending on how busy they are it could be as much as a day or two.

you know, here's my problem with the sim.
Here on one side, you have Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Roberto Clemente, Willie Stargell, Johnnie Bench, Pete Rose, etc..truly some of the greatest hitters of all-time.
And pitching against them today...Brad Radke.
I mean, that guy isn't even the ace on the ####ing Twins. It's just not realistic for him to step in and shut down a lineup like that.
I don't get it. Mediocre pitchers should get mauled in this thing. Radke is out there tossing a gem.

Variation--sometimes Randy Johnson gives up 8 runs. Sometimes Brad Radke shuts a great team out. If it were to happen like that for the whole season, there'd be a problem.you know, here's my problem with the sim.

It's just one game so far. Try simming your team against the 2004 Red Sox. As long as Schilling and Martinez are in the game, the games are competitve. Once they leave the floodgates open.you know, here's my problem with the sim.
