***Official Game Thread*** - Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints (1 Viewer)

No foul on the play because the quarter expired before the man touched the ball?

the hell's that mean?!?!?

From the Rulebook:
Any member of the punting team may down the ball anywhere in the field of play. However, it is illegal touching (Official’s time out and receiver’s ball at spot of illegal touching). This foul does not offset any foul by receivers during the down.

This year's ESPY for the best use of a telestrator goes to... Fox Sports! For the circling of Brett Favre's ear on the sidelines!

Whatever happened to the best teams having defenses, I don't know. I know seeing a lot of points is exciting but at some point I like to see balance, that great defenders can stop great offensive players, at least their fair share of the time. The rules in the game just are so overwhelmingly in favor of the offense when you have talent like these two teams have on offense, it's just so ridiculously hard to stop a team. Creating turnovers is just so big because forcing the traditional 3 and out against these teams just seems hard to do.

Looks about right. I'm actually a little surprised that the Vikings are passing so well. I thought they'd struggle a little more because of being on the road, they seem to be handling that well.

Prediction: Saints score a TD before the half and the Vikes implosion begins shortly thereafter.
