hmmmm....judging Christ - ive always wanted a chance to do that. i'd say high single-digits. even tho its one of the most amazing sights in the world, the work of that was more in the staging than the sculpture. that it's our most impressive dashboard Jesus doesnt rescue it from that stauts artistically.

I declare myself the winnerALL KNEEL BEFORE ME, AND DESPAIR!!!!!

What a great thread this was. It ended up incomplete because we did not receive judgings for the following categories:

Short stories

Scientific Discoveries

Inventions

Paintings

Sculptures

Building/Structures

Sports Records

If you consider yourself knowledgeable on any of these subjects, please feel free to step in and evaluate the picks and rank them from 1-20, 20 being the highest score. (In the case of paintings, for instance, when each drafter had 3 picks, 3 20s will be awarded, etc.)

All picks can be found on this website: http://sites.google.com/site/fbggreatworksdraft/Home

Previous judgings can be found there as well.

This was probably my favorite draft ever, because I really enjoyed judging the plays and books. That was a great intellectual challenge. Thanks again to everyone involved. My offer a few posts above still stands, come in and do some judging if you want!

BAM

A lot of these were difficult decisions, especially when one thing is a component of another (what's more important - gunpowder or the gun itself?). I did my best to research the ones that I didn't really know much about. I have a rudimentary knowledge (read: 1 semester) of engineering, so hopefully I did all of the scientific inventions some justice. For the record, I tried to judge based on the initial impact of the item, how useful it is today (has it been upgraded? is it useless in today's society?), how many substitutes there are, etc. Some things I didn't even really think were inventions. They were given 1 point.

FLAME/DISCUSS AMONGST YOURSELVES. If someone convinces me otherwise, I MIGHT change my score.
