***Official Hells Kitchen Thread*** (3 Viewers)

How much does robert weigh? Someone said 500lbs last night but that seems high--although I have to admit I don't have much to base that on.

Did none of the show's staff think that having Robert pedal a couple miles up hill was a bad idea?
Thought the same exact thing when they hit the hill. Even without seeing the previews we knew Robert was in trouble on that bike. I'm sure he didn't sign up to ride bikes up hills like that. Wonder will the show take responsibility.

horrible episode. The show is hardly about cooking anymore. It always teetered on the edge of being bad, but I am afraid its getting nudged over this season.

And I admire Tenille for at least showing some spine. Who here would let Ramsey continually berate them like that? She got PO'ed and stood up, without going psycho like several others have done

When Gordon Ramsey decides to close down the kitchen early, do the diners really go home without being served? I'd be pissed if I had to wait two hours and then told to leave without getting food.
Just like it's ridiculous for the contestants to complain about Ramsey being abrasive, you have to know what could happen if you choose to dine at Hell's Kitchen.

good decision by Ramsay tonight
Andy should have been gone first. Robert is a doosh but he is generally way more productive then that guy.
Did you see that rabbit? Serving it that raw was a game-ender for whoever did it.
Yeah I guess. But I mean really who would you rather keep until next week based on their total performance? Andy sucks and has since day one. There is a reason he's been put up three times.

The entire dining audience is just plants. They know they are extras on a TV show and a few are paid to say a few lines. You can't honestly think people really are going to that place expecting a traditional experience.

That's another thing- I think if there is a single worst performance, that performer should be booted. Cumulative performance should only come into place if there is a dead heat at the end of the evening. But they have never really spelled that out.

Can we move on from the risotto and scallop appetizers already? It's been the same appetizers for 5 straight seasons.

And yet the contestants still screw it up. Do these people watch the show? I mean if I was going on there are a few dishes they always do I would be all over before the first day of shooting. Seems like DVDs of the last few seasons would be good research.

I was actually surprised at tonight. Appetizers going out in 25 minutes? That's unheard of. Usually takes at least an hour or two.

And Robert had to go. He's been screwing up right and left when he isn't in the hospital for a heart condition that I'm surprised his doctors didn't ban him from Hells Kitchen for. Not like it isn't a stressful situation. Too many excuses. Yes, Andy sucks too, but he'll be gone soon enough. Still a lot of chaff on that show.

To be honest none of them have really impressed me up to this point. Usually by now you identify a couple of strong players but I really feel like this is a weak field.

It really is. Ariel looked good in the beginning, but she's been sucking lately. Kevin was best for the guys, but he got #####ed out tonight. Plus, how do you sprain both your ankles while you're basically walking? Who knows what will happen now. Only thing for sure is that once again none of these contestants could even qualify for Top Chef, but one of them will win a bigger reward than the Top Chef finalist will.

What is the point of letting the "best" person do nominations if Ramsey is just going to get rid of whoever he feels like anyway.

did anyone else see tek cooking in the background of the last episode? she left a while ago :lmao:

We had to rewind & confirm. Using footage from previous episodes? I knew these things were chopped all to heck in the editing room to create drama, but going back several weeks? Lame.

yeah, we had to do a double take too. pretty weak. the show is kinda losing me any. just getting sloppy at this point.

andy gone...anyone care anymore?
Should have happened weeks ago. But I did feel bad for him with the cuts. I did that as well many years ago. Only got my pinkie but still very painful. And he got 3 fingers it looked like. How does an upscale kitchen like that not have a protective glove or at least some protection on the slicer?

He actually did improve the past couple weeks, so I think it's a shame he gets kicked off after rushing back to work after hurting himself. Saying Dave is working with 1 hand is fine, except even Gordon made the point that it was Dave's off-hand. Also, by this point, Dave's grown accustomed to working with it, while Andy sliced his fingers off merely hours before.

On the other hand, he should have been kicked off weeks ago and there's no chance he goes all the way.

I think Dave has a good shot aslong as he doesn't kill himself in the kitchen (Good chance next week from the previews)
I really think at this point it is sprained ankle guys game to lose.
Agreed. He's been the strongest so far. Wouldn't be surprised to see him and Dave in final 2.
Yeah those two have been neck and neck. I've also been very impressed by Van. Didn't expect him to be such a good chef.

Van has been strong. I think in the end the country thing and lack of polish are going to be his downfall. I hate to call him sprained ankle guy but I can't think of his name. Still you never hear Ramsey say a negative word to him. He has played the game right completely under the radar for a long time and never really screwing up. If the previews are accurate and Dave gets hurt again then it's Van and that guy. And I just don't see Van taking it.

Ramsay tore Kevin aka sprained ankle guy a new pie hole the previous episode back. Said he was too cocky.

I didn't see that episode thanks for the info. And I will try to remember Kevins name.I don't think cocky really bothers Ramsay though in the long run. All the best chefs are a bit cocky.

Ariel is under the radar it seems with everyone focusing on Kevin and Van. I think it is Kevin's to lose at this point. He's bailed out his team (especially Andy) for several weeks now by helping other stations.

Dave works very hard but I wish his voice wasn't stuck on the same tone. Someone should thump his needle.

I think I would order my crepes sans the extra sweat though. Those guys are soaking the food back there.

Yeah Ariel is probably the most competitive right now on the ladies side. Although Tenille could make a run she seems to be doing better recently. The sweat thing is dead on. Get these guys some hats at least. And Dave with the knit cap, what is that about?
