Yahoo had the pilot (which premires tonight) available to watch online. First off, the fact that I could watch without commercials was sweet.

But to the point - looks to have some promise. As to keep with the "no spoilers" premise, that's all I'll say at this point. Could be a solid show. Nicely done.

i watched the first episode also on yahoo

i really liked it

guess we should wait for the **Official** thread before talking about what happens/is going on

I saw the commercial for it, but I don't know if I'll get a chance to check it out tonight.

Can you guys give spoilers in white lettering so whoever wants to read it can?

I think it is up against Monday Night Football and I won't see it until sometime this winter.
I believe that's part of the logic for making the pilot available online during the day today. I agree, putting up against MNF was not a great idea, but as I said, I think it's got promise and Tivo will help ;) I wonder if they have any plans to do an encore later during the week/off peak/etc.? Anyone know?

"Spoilers" below in white (as requested)

One thing I really liked about the first episode is the way it appears they are going to link the lives of the main charachters together. It should be interesting to see how they get the stripper to team up with everyone else. The Indian doctor, the male nurse & the painter are already being connected and the Japanese teleporter is in New York now too. The cheerleader's father is an interesting twist - that should make for some nice plot twists. The politician was a nice curveball as well - do both brother's fly? Or just the one that's always been important? (that'd be a real pisser for the young bro.) Overall, I felt the casting was solid and the writers seem to be doing a nice job of piecing it all together in an hour. Next week should be fun.

I haven't seen much other than the ads running on TV, but on the surface it looks like an X-Men ripoff.

I'll wait until tonight to watch it, but the :nerd: in me is very looking forward to this. As long as NBC doesn't cancel it too quick, that is.

I liked it. It's got me by the shorties like 24 does, I can't wait for next week now.

It's my new favorite new show.

Im curious as how theyre going to utlize their powers and if theyre going to play a major role...it runs the risk of turning campy really fast if the writers arent careful. I cant picture these guys being an x men like group....it wouldnt really work on TV. Obviously they hinted at some cataclysmic event in NY that theyre going to have to stop but how they do it is wut im wondering. def. has potential though.

I think as for the brothers. I think nathan the older brother will fly but Pete will have something else he can do. I would think maybe some kind of ESP by the way he has all these visions.

I really enjoyed the show and look forward to seeing where they go with it. Very different than anything else on tv.

encore tomorrow night I believe.

I was very impressed.

Intelligently written. Definite Lost influence with all the minor background connections of the characters in their individual sections. Hiro's section was the gratuitous gift to the comic book geeks with the X-Men reference, while the rest seemed to be a decent setup that left me definitely wanting more.

Initially, I like the Cheerleader the best so far, as she is the only one that's kinda exploring what having a gift would do to her. Ali Larter's character can go both ways (Stop for a second for the nice mental image :D ), either a solid character or annoying angst/mental issues. Hiro is comic relief so far. The brothers are a little weak so far, in that the younger one is way too whiny, but I like Profit(or whatever his name is). The Indian (professor X) isn't bad. The artist precog will get annoying quick, but that is a function of the power.

I wonder why we didn't get to see the mind-reading cop in the premier.
I like the actor, and am looking forward to his appearance, but I am glad they didn't try to fit everything in at the expense of story. It bodes well, IMO.

Wasn't sure what to expect. Had potential to be very corny but was pleasantly surprised.

Looking forward to next weeks episode.

Haven't seen the premiere yet, but I did hear one of the actors on a radio interview yesterday. He said that there are 11 main characters, but since the two-hour pilot was split into two, they only introduced nine yesterday. One more will be introduced next week, and the last the following week.

What exactly is Ali Larter's power?

Scowling at herself in a mirror?

Blacking out and killing people?

Any ideas?

The image in the mirror was bloody when she "awoke", where as she wasn't. Possibility of a two dimension type story line? She is there and the other her from another diminision is able to take over??

I'm befuddled as to what it might be.I also want to see her naked.

:hot: fricken NBC tease.. I was willing to pony up half the $39 for her to finish her act. :excited: :kicksrock:

seems like Ali Landry has a "dark" part of her personality that she can't control yet

reminds me kinda the Jean Grey storyline, but with a stripper instead

i am excited to watch the next episode

I thought it was pretty weak and contrived with some really corny dialogue and no real characterization. The girl doesn't want anyone to know she has this power yet she climbs to the top of a crane to jump off? C'MON!! And her father happens to be the "mysterious future protagonist"? Weak...... I thought the Japanese fellow was the only real redemning character, the Ali Larter character mildly interesting and all the rest annoying. Instead of creating something unique, it seems they are going for a "Lost with but Superheroes" thing. I'll follow it for another couple of weeks to see if it gets better.....

antagonist, no?

Luckily, it comes on at 9pm on the West Coast and MNF is mostly over by then so I'll be able to watch. So far, I like it a lot, except for one thing. I feel that they might have given too much away showing the painter's stuff in future episodes.

Nine?1) Cheerleader - tissue regeneration/healing2) Artist - predicts the future3) Nurse - flight?/unknown4) Senatorial candidate - flight5) Japanese dude - teleportation/bending time6) Indian professor - uknown (maybe he doesn't have a power)7) Stripper - dual identities?Who did I miss?Edit: Oh, your post says "main characters," not heroes. I guess you can add the dying guy's daughter and the cheerleader's dad to the mix.

I bet they are like the wonder-twins, they can only fly together - not that there is anything wrong with that.
