***Official*** Heroes Thread (3 Viewers)

I just wish NBC could cram a few more commercials into that hour. I'm getting spoiled watching those uninterrupted three-minute blocks.

I need to watch this week's episode again.

So, if HRG's memory of Claire is wiped, does he try to kill/capture her sometime down the road?

Doesn't he also have to have memories of her power materializing, plus subsequent memories related to hiding her, erased b/c of what he told his boss?

Also, what happened to the Israeli computer girl (Hana?). I forget what she was supposed to be doing while Parkman and Ted confronted HRG.

maybe, but even so, her powers only materialized a few months earlier...he's not going to have all of his memories of her erased, so I doubt he's going to be hunting her down.

I watch 24 at 9PM then heroes DVRed at 10PM, no commericals here :lmao:
My DVR is weird. It changes which show I get to watch live depending on whim I think. I haven't found a pattern yet. It was 24 tonight, so Heroes was commercialless for me as well.As for tonights, one of the best hours of TV I've watched in a while. Easily the best episode of Heroes so far. But a big part of that was the lack of B-stories. Just the Lost-style narrative: Main Story interweaved with flashbacks. They have a very interesting ensemble cast, but the various storylines' power get dimmed when they are so many as there has been, especially as they have generally been, at least on the surface, unrelated.

As for notes on tonights, might the Haitian be answering to Linderman? Linderman has so far been pretty an ruthless mobster off camera, but having an extremely blurry good/evil line has been a recurring theme of the show so far. Having Linderman as a force to protect the mutants/Heroes would fit well. But I'm guessing he will be far more in the Magneto philosophical line than Xavier, especially if he has power himself.

I did like Hiro's father making an appearance. It completely justified the seemingly useless B-story Hiro had. And I noted the Haitian had the medallion already in the flashback.

As for next weeks previews, the evil picture of Simone has to be remembered Link to remind. I agree that a flashback/dream is very possible for it, but her being alive is more likely to me. She has a connection to Linderman, and might have been assigned to watch Isaac for Linderman in the same way that Eden was watching the Suresh's. The arguement against that is Peter would have manifested whatever power she has, but he might not have known he had it, so who knows at this point.

Holy crapola!! Was able to download the Canadian episode as I could not watch tonight. Claire and the Haitian are on the run from everyone they know. Quite the odd couple if they would/could take up residence anywhere. Great great show this Heroes thing.

Comcast DVR? You should be able to pick which one you want to watch by using the swap button. (Bottom left, 2nd one in). Anyway, fantastic episode.

I missed it last night but caught it on dailymotion this morning.

Is the trailer for next week's episode online anywhere?

Easily the best episode of the season.

I don't think Simone is alive.

I wonder if Invisible Guy was protecting Peter Petrelli?? Maybe he found out that Peter could absorb other people's powers. Maybe Invisible Guy was protecting Simone since he was always on the roof of her dad's building with the birds...

I think it is almost a certainty he will be hunting her down, which will lead to a big confrontation where he is going to have to try to remember the past. "Go Deep" could mean a lot of things. It could mean he goes back to the point where he doesn't care about her and is willing to turn her in.I think the Haitian is not working for anyone, I think the higher up person he was referring to who gave him his orders was God. He mentioned God to Claire before and he strikes me as very religious. The Invisible guy had to be hiding someone who's powers had already manifested themselves or there is a hole in the plot. They have already made it clear they have no way of determining if someone's powers will come out in the future (until Dr. Suresh's list).

Is the roof in the flashback when Sulu gave Claire to HRG the same roof with Invisguy & the birds?

Yes

;) It's also the building that was owned by Simone's father.

I thought the Haitian was not working for Liderman at the end. I thought him and Claire took off.
That's how I saw it, too.HRG's original partner was invisible guy, who just happened to be protecting someone. He had to be eliminated.HRG was protecting Claire but he made it appear that the Haitian was protecting Claire to stay in his boss' good graces. The end scene, in my mind, was to further this ruse. He was supposed to kill the Haitian but now it'll look like the Haitian shot him and took some of his Claire memories, rather than working with him to protect Claire.

As others have speculated, I think Simone's father may have had some powers as well. Perhaps some sort of precognitive abilities. Weren't some of Peter's original dreams where he was flying etc. taking place while he was napping at Simone's father's bedside? If Simone's father was a precog, Peter could have gleaned that ability from him, no?

First off - what happened to You Eric Roberts - face was pulled too tight

I thought it was the best episode thus far. It really didn't go the way I thought. Claires dad really was a "good guy" but I think for selfish reasons, obviously.

My question is did he call in his Boss to setup this ruse with the Haitian? Or did that come together after Roberts showed up. Not sure I understand why he would call him to set up this plan.

Also - the girl in the lab is the same "wi-fi" girl right? If so, is she really working for Roberts or on the side of the "heroes"

Great show......I really like the fact that they answer questions and don't leave you hanging for too long. I am a fan of lost but it is an enigma.

Ok, wasn't the invisible guy that was HRG's partner the same invisible guy that was working with Peter? Also Whats up with HIRO's father being the head of the organization tracking down the mutants? Apparently he doesn't know about Hiro's abilities.

Yes same guy. If you recall I think last episode when the mentioned looks like are old friend is not dead. And I think the invisible guy said something along the same lines of them not knowing he is alive. As far as Hiro's dad - I don't think he knows. This is a recent ability of Hiro's and I think the dad just thinks he's a "slacker"

one of the better episodes....getting alot of good back info. Eat your heart out Lost.
:lmao:
 Lost and Heroes are both great shows. How can you compare them at this point? Lost is in Season 3 on about hour 55 or so. Heroes is in Season 1 on hour 17. Not to hijacj, but in season 1 hour 17 of Lost, here is stuff we didn't even know yet:1) Who Ethan was.2) Never even heard of Dharma.3) Didn't know Kelvin was on the island.4) Didn't know who Ben, Juliet, Tom, and all of the Others were.5) Didn't know that Alex was alive and helped Claire escape.6) Had no idea who Desmond was.7) Didn't know that the Others were civilized and lived in houses on the same island.8) Never saw the map of all the hatches.9) Didn't know that Dharma still drop shipped food to the island.10) Didn't know that the Others have been on and off the island.11) Didn't know that there was anybody alive from the tail section.12) Never met Eko, Libby and Anna Lucia.13) Didn't know that Rose was correct and that Bernard was alive and that he was white.14) Didn't know that the island healed Rose and Locke.15) Didn't know Sun was pregnant and possibly with some other guy's baby.16) Didn't know that Desmond caused flight 815's crash. And on and on.I still can't believe that after Season 1 of Lost got us to the point where we just barely got to the hatch and Walt was kidnapped by god knows who, that people complain that the show hasn't answered enough. Problem is that people are expecting huge pieces of the puzzle every single week.Personally, I love both and I can only hope that in hour 55, Heroes is holding up as well as Lost.

By the way, that was a fantastic episode last night. Top notch flashbacks (thanks Lost :lmao: ) and good progression of the current story.

So does Hiro’s dad not know about Hiro or is he protecting him the same as HRG was with Claire? I find it odd that a pretty big player in all this would just dismiss his son as “a slacker” when he starts talking about having powers and such. But I could see him trying to dismiss it and convince Hiro he’s not special so that he can protect him. Or, maybe he got the “Haitian special” at some point?

I think he was put in a similar position as HRG at one point, so yes, I think they have a similar situation. Up to this point though, Hiro's dad has not seen him utilize his powers.Last night's episode is the type of episode that keeps me glued for the full season. Top-notch effort by all involved.

HRG was supposed to kill Claire's biological mom. She has been keeping out of the eyes of the mutant chasers all this time as well. And, they knew she was able to start fire yet they tried to kill her in a burning manner?

HRG answers to the new boss we met last night.

^

New boss answers to Hiro's father.

Hiro's father answers to Linderman?

I thought they were implying that he was following the orders of the Invisible man. The flashback scene directly after that was the one where Invisible man asked HRG would do if Claire had powers.Seems like Invisible man could have gone back into the complex to talk to the Haitian about what to do if that ever happened.
