So what would happen if Peter, who already has Ted's power, came in contact with a person who has Ted's power (Sylar). Maybe the overload, as well as the extra powers coming from Sylar, are what sets him off?
I'm sorry, as I haven't been able to keep up with this thread, but is there any evidence that Peter has abosrbed anything from Sylar? I always assumed that Peter absorbed other people's genetic abilities and Sylar's abilities do not exist at the gentic level.
He's used the telekinesis. Once when he broke invisible guy's beat stick and once when he threw Sylar away from him in Mohindar's apartment. He hasn't displayed the hearing, freezing, melting metal or super memory.
Perhaps I'm remembering it incorrectly, but I thought telekinesis was Sylar's original power. That was one that existed at a genetic level. The others were the ones he took.

No telekinesis was the first power he took. His ability is to take powers, like Peter, but by different methodology

No, it was the first power he "stole".

Okay, I totally remembered it wrong. I thought the melting pots dude was the first.

Add the "intimidating shout" to the list.bigbottom - we have run through all your questions already - Sylar stole powers that were transferred to Peter in their first fight. Sylar's only genetic power that we know of is the ability to rip things open and figure out how they work, including people's brains.

just watched the last 2 episodes this weekend. when hiro had his sword to sylars neck why did time speed back up? was that sylar or hiros doing?

Where's the Haitian in all of this? He still works for Linderman's company, doesn't he? He should still be loyal to Bennett and Claire and stick around to help stop the explosion.

Linderman wants the explosion. If the Haitian works for him, he won't stop it.Does he have a name?

He already betrayed the company by helping to save Claire. Maybe he'll do it again.

Yeah that could have been better. The Syler-Peter battle was very anti-climatic. I expected worlds to collide. Oh well...there's always next season.

Who do you think the person is that Molly is afraid of? More than Syler? It's gotta be Mama Petrelli don't ya think?

I think she said him

So many question for next year. Like we need more back history of the Organization, Simones father now seems to be part of the early founding group and appears to have powers, and who is this person Mollys talking about thats worse than Sylar, maybe a new villain for next year?

I thought Molly referred to the person as "he". I agree that Sylar/Peter should have been better. It would have been great to see the two go at it properly, instead of Peter getting bailed out. It was also stupid watching Peter die - if Claire shot him, he could have regenerated, but after the nuclear explosion, it seems less likely. So basically his brother completely screwed him over.

i think Peter is the person that Molly is scared of

because whenever she thinks about "him", "he" can see her, that would be like when time stopped for peter when Future Hiro visted him, right?

Plus couldnt Peter just fly away himself without his brother? I guess it was for dramatic efffect, also now Peter has officially absorbed Nikis super strength. I think both petrellis return next year and now im wondering what significance the eclipse plays.

everyone was in kirby plaza, wouldn't peter have DL's phasing, Micah's techo talk and Molly's find ability?

Don't think so. Pretty sure that they just created the arch-enemy for Volume 2.

He probably will for next year.

You would think so, but maybe his lack of ability to control the nuke power means that he couldn't do anything else at that point.I also figured Claire could at least try and shoot him to the point where he is unconscious, like I think I remember them doing to Ted in the house. Once Ted was sedated, his power pretty much stopped.

I personally hope Peter is dead because of this.

Its kinda no fun when the guy has every single power to use.

I expect their budget next year is higher, and maybe the battle scenes will get a little more involved.

I am more upset by the one hour time now then I was before.
:own3d: That is why 24 and Lost have 2 hour finales. They spent so much build up time that there was very little left for the actual big scene.I thought it was a good episode, but certainly not a great finale like you would have hoped to see. It seemed like they spent a lot of time building into the next season instead of concentrating on having a big fight at the end. It reminded me of the first fight between Peter and Sylar. I think I remember the same feeling over at a friend's house many years ago during a Tyson pay per view fight (pre-jail). Everyone was so psyched and the actual fight was over in a few seconds. Was anyone else really pissed off when they pulled that Sylar crawling into the sewer thing? Just kill him already since we know there is someone worse out there unless Sylar becomes part of the justice league, the bad guy turned good. Anyway, I thought it was awful when they showed his life flash in his eyes and then his eyes glaze over. Oh, and nobody cares that he is crawling away? Everyone just walks away without a care in the world and forgets about the guy who tried to kill almost all of them.

And i dont know how Sylar managed to live, anything to do with that slug they showed?
Slug?I think you mean cockroach, which we have seen several times with him before. Lots of things I wish they did better in the finale, but Sylar not dying was absolutely the worst part.ETA: Don't get me wrong, still love the show. Easily my #2 show with some extremely impressive shows earlier this season. As Hulk said, hopefully they build on this season for next year and blow the doors off.

Thats how it happens in every comic...bad guy always gets away to fight another day.

I doubt it. In the 5 years future episode, Peter survived the first time he was the bomb. I don't see why he wouldn't survive it again. Sure he's got to survive the fall back down to earth, but as long as his spine stays intact, Claire's strength and/or Nathan's flight will save him.

 I expected a much better finale than that
:goodposting:After this year where every episode seems pretty darned good, this was a HUGE letdown. So, Sylar pulled his roach thing and lives another season. Hiro is back in 1671. This is a big comic book and you have to let a lot of stuff go.

I'm sure someone has already covered this, but the Samurai from the 1600's is Hiro's dad.
Sure as heck looked like him to me, too.

Speculation: I think it was Simone's father.

Who says Sylar crawled away? He could have been dragged away. I think the roach is a bad guy that helped Sylar. We also saw a roach in his cell when he managed to get free.
