I'll be honest.  After last weekend and Trump's victory the air seemed to be completely sucked out of this area.  A huge sigh of apathy seemed to spread across the area.  I hung around talking to a buddy of mine working our voting area and I knew this was going to happen when I saw who was actually showing up.  It was an incredibly small number of people and if not older, they were black.  Thus my comment from earlier.  2/3+ of the voters here were black where there was really low turnout.  The writing was on the wall unfortunately.  That's how this state rolls.  Sucks.

I don't think I can turn much more to the left without becoming someone that confuses what they want to be true with what is true.  

 
One other thing about the SC electorate and the black vote, it's not the Democratic base from NH or IA.  These are people who are often very religious, they also aren't as open in my view to socialism.  I would like to see the exit polls and get the amount of voters in SC who viewed the term "socialist" as favorable/unfavorable.  My guess is that it will be totally different from what we saw in the earlier states.

The larger driving factor here seems to be low turnout with an incredibly high portion of that group being black.  Well over 2/3.

I agree, but within that group, and I'd guess even within what's left of the old blue dog Democrats, those numbers on the socialist tag will look very different from the other races so far.

This state generally thrives on name recognition.  It's the epitome of the "soundbyte" demographic.

 
It's official.  As of tonight I stop caring about the race being sensible or just.  

It's going to be crazy entertaining I admit.  Horrible for America, but a hoot.

Eh, I guess we'll see.  Hillary certainly has a lot of issues, but I think the voters have to be fairly sophisticated to worry about them much.  The Donald on the other hand, well, anyone can relate to the the #### he's been involved with.

Regardless, we shall all be entertained.

Hillary is shaking in her pantsuit over the prospect. After 11 hours of testimony before the Benghazi Committee, I am sure she is terrified at the prospect of debating The Donald.

Testimony before a committee is nothing compared to being grilled in the public domain of a presidential campaign by a media master. You do realize that most people do not watch a committee hearing or CSPAN, right?

It is an entirely different dynamic.

The challenge is Trump is so unconventional. Hillary cannot and should not underestimate him. Start attacking Trump soon and be prepared to approach debates and responses to the Donald that match his game.

You do realize it was carried live by Fox, CNN and MSNBC, right?

Fox was the first to cut away to regular programming after Hillary started mopping the floor with her inquisitors.

Number of people who watched the Benghazi hearing was substantial as it was carried live on Fox, CNN and MSNBC. But even if it wasn't, it is completely irrelevant as to how Hillary will do in a debate against Trump (she did better because less people would be watching than a presidential debate? No, I don't think so).

I would love to see Trump face an 11 hour congressional inquisition where he is the only one testifying and the questioners work in tag teams of 10 minutes each against him.

Number of people who were watching is irrelevant to how well she will do or won't do in a debate against Trump. If there were 5 or 50 million people watching it wouldn't make her 11 hours of testimony before a congressional committee any more or less important and there wouldn't have been any less pressure since it was carried live almost all day on Fox, CNN and MSNBC and it could have been recorded for posterity by anyone who had the means to do so.

Hill can lawyer through denials there but there are some facts she might have to face the music on when put under the trump microscope, namely her attributing the incident to being caused by a video. 

 
Why are we using that "hearing" being run by the Keystone cops (that's being kind) as any sort of measuring stick for anything?  Half the time was eaten up by people waiting in line to slurp her.  The other half was sitting there answering stupid questions from stupid people.  Is this the bar we're setting now?  Anyone need a shovel?

 
Sure, in the last 25 years Hillary has never has to face the kinds of attacks against her Trump will make.

She covered that in her testimony at the hearing. Most people who saw her live testimony thought she handled it well and with the exception of the Hillary haters, the matter is pretty much settled. You want to keep talking about it, go ahead, but most listeners will tune it out.

To vote for that woman over a genuine man of the people you have to be willfully ignorant or just easily influenced.  We really had a chance here.  Instead it's President Trump. Never in a million years did I think that was possible.

Hillaburton stock certainly went up tonight, but this is not over by any stretch,

The media driven narrative is revolting. Somebody tell me, what is the non-super delegate point total, right now?
