Claim of conformation that Bluemnthal's email about Sudan contained word for word copied SAP intelligence.  Original source was GAMMA compartment, encrypted on a private network. At minimum he's going to jail for espionage IMO.  And this would mean there's no way no indictments are coming.

And Hillary absolutely should have recognized the sensitivity of this, and it's inappropriateness of being on a private server.

Why is a private citizen with no direct access to secured information going to jail?

Just to clarify: are you guaranteeing here that Sidney Blumenthal is going to be indicted for criminal espionage?

Why is a private citizen with no direct access to secured information going to jail?
He somehow secured SAP information and copied it in an email.  His obtaining it without clearance constitutes espionage.  Worse than merely mishandling.  He was spying.  On the US.  And putting it on AOL.

Forwarding information to the third highest ranking member of the administration who as a practice would likely forwarded it to others in the government is the very definition of espionage!

Securing SAP information from God knows where and diseminating over unsecure networks (traversed from HIGHLY secure encrypted networks where it ONLY belongs) is a severe violation of the Espionage Act.

Break what down?  The Secretary of State's position on an org chart?  What Hillary generally did with Blumenthal"s unsolicited "good stuff"?
I don't think the question is where did it go from Hillary to get within State.

Hypothetically the information left NSA or the originator of the Gamma to Blumenthal. How?

Like this?  Maybe this time it is different, but how many times must one be fooled by sensational headlines and speculation before the shame of buying into it all is on them?

Forever.

When nothing happens with this story, Mr. Ham and others around here will simply move to the latest rumor, the latest inside source telling National Review or some other conservative website that Hillary is about to go down. That's what they want to believe, and so they will.

Dunno. How many totally redacted emails outside US government do you have to see before you acknowledge Blumenthal had information he shouldn't have had?

eta - note this was classified when sent and has a 20 year half life before declassification can be considered.

Hypothetically the information left NSA or the originator of the Gamma to Hillary,   Indict her,

Hypothetically the information left NSA or the originator of the Gamma to Hillary's aid.  Indict them too.

Hypothetically the information left NSA or the originator of the Gamma to God knows who else in the State Department.  Indict them all,

Hypothetically the information left NSA or the originator of the Gamma to the general public when the State Department posted it online.  Indict us all,.

Unredact the emails and I'll tell you.  But that is irrelevant.

Did Hillary or any of Hillary aids ar State or even any of her State Department employees provide Blumenthal with the classified information that he sent to Hillary?  If not why would any of them face indictments over this?  And since Tyler Drumheller who retired from the CIA about a decade ago is supposedly Blumenthal's source there is at least two "hops" to the hypothetical leaker.

You're getting off track here. This is what the post says:

At minimum he's going to jail IMO.
Talking Blumenthal here.

If true, this report highlights the extent to which close Clinton friends and confidantes may soon find themselves in serious legal jeopardy
They're not talking about Hillary, her aides or anyone at State here.

The DIA - which is shown as having the authority in that example I posted - is the Defense Intelligence Agency. If they classify something for 20 years I think they're taking that seriously enough that won't ever happen.

As for your point, yeah, I agree, There was also Larry Johnson. However the leaker would be the person in the originating agency. As I recall the US government is still trying to capture and indict Julian Assange in a similar 2 degrees or more situation.

Can we please just throw the full lot in ####### jail, put Trump in there with them, call it a reality show and do a do over on the election.  We still have 8 months to field entirely new candidates.  Several times what most countries devote to their election cycles.

Out of curiosity do you want to break that down? Who are the players you're referring to here?
I think he's saying that at the very least, the spirit of espionage laws isn't intended to reach information transmitted to the Secretary of State.

Henry I confess I sometimes I have trouble discerning BFS's points. Thanks.

However since you used that word it raises the question why is the SOS availing herself of ill gotten goods and why doesn't she call the cops (i.e. the intelligence community to whom the info belongs) to report same?

I don't know, I've always operated under the belief that most politicians just aren't that precious nor are they irreplaceable.

A whole lot of arguing about whether this email or that email was classified when all you really need to do is look at the terrible lack of judgment in procuring and using your own private server and email for at the very least sensitive government information. Information which is supposed to be on an official government server and email account for very valid reasons. This fact alone should disqualify HRC from the Presidency.

What if this goes all the way... Dun Dun dun! To the PRESIDENT?!

Seriously, I believe that Hillary Clinton broke the law, but I'm not sure to the insane degree being suggested here recently.
It's going to go away and we'll all walk away knowing she broke the law.  Politicians will protect their own where it's expedient to do so.  That should never be questioned.  That this is even a possible discussion about a presidential candidate is telling of where this country is headed.

Laws just like healthcare are "optional" for politicians. Its not so much different then "house of cards" really.....
