I heard from people who would know that Hillary definitely suffered brain damage as result of her fall,and that she now has trouble processing complex information. If she released all her medical records, they would show that, but of course she won't release those because she doesn't want the truth to come out.

Imagine how much better she would done at the hearing if she wasn't brain damaged and could actually process complex informaton.

For the record, I've long viewed the Benghazi thing as a partisan circus, and the Republicans should have dropped it a long time ago. Hillary deserves criticism over all sorts of stuff, but not this.

The irony is that Trump and Carson are getting so much of the percentage of the pie in polls because many are sick of the "establishment," while at the same time the GOP establishment continues to show us why (botching the Libya thing, the Speaker of the House disaster, etc.). I agree with many things Bernie is talking about and I do think he has got a strong grass roots movement. I just don't think he will win the nomination. But yours is a fair question, it shouldn't matter.

I dont ultimately vote for someone who shares 90% of my views and cant get elected, but do vote for some who shares 75% of my views and can get elected because common sense.

The first Dem debate was so extreme due to Bernie it had Hillary chuckling a little bit. She will start her move to the middle as soon as Bernie starts fading away. I don't understand why the Democrats should be paying anything here. They tried to shut down the committee. During the Hillary hearing they were the only ones who showed a shred of sanity IMO.Why do we always have to go through this charade of "both sides are equally guilty"? In this case they're not. The Republicans are squarely to blame for this debacle.

It was odd; they (and/or) the media hyped these hearings, and what did they gain from it?

She claims to know nothing about the requests (I believe over 600) for more security; I thought that was interesting along with re-visiting her role in promoting the videos as the motivation for the attacks despite her knowing instantly that wasn't the case.

Saying that, at best, they got a former Secretary of State who may have delegated too much responsibility and didn't stay on top of some issues, but ultimately, this hearing wasn't needed for Republicans to continue that line of attack.

I think it was a good to great week for Clinton; not that 2 non-challengers dropping out helped her, but it furthers the media story line that she is 'next in line'. Biden isn't running, and while I don't think he would have been a threat once he entered, it's still great news considering how the media had a love affair with this story for weeks.

You could make the same argument about Democratic debate(s) where they try to outspend each other on the stage, and pro-claim global warming as the biggest threat facing the country.

This isn't an endorsement of Republicans. Donald Trump and/or Ben Carson winning (or) getting about 45% of the vote right now is insane. Carson was a brain surgeon, but can't apply that smartness to politics and Trump is a flat out moron.

Both parties are running way to their extremes right now; that's normal, but scary when you add that some of these people are probably serious on their positions.

Who cares if Timmy or me or whoever you are directly replying to will be receptive or even bother to read them? Who even cares if they are being "fished" when the opportunity to share your opinions with an audience presents itself?

Now in politics of the 21st century "kicking the can down the road" generally means not addressing our long term liabilities which threaten the viability of Medicare and Social Security. Seems to me that one side of the political spectrum took a stab at addressing this a few years back and paid a steep political price. It wasn't enough of course and might not even prove to be a long term success but it was more than "kicking the can down the road". And now we have a choice between those that want to build upon that attempt and those that want to simply replace it with more tax cuts. You are starting on the false premise that the point can be gotten across BFS. I don't believe that to be the case and I base that belief on the actions/requests. No one gives a #### what I think in reality and I don't think they should (at least any more/less than others here). All I ask is they own that reality and stop asking the same question over and over as if they really do care. That's all. Not that complicated.

I will also disagree with what your definition of kicking the can down the road is. At least it's not what I mean. Your definition is way more specific than mine. At a high level it simply means doing the same partisan while not getting much of anything accomplished then pointing the finger at everyone but themselves for why they couldn't get accomplished everything they promised in the first place. Then, us as voters accepting the promise failures and dismissing them as rhetoric or making excuses like "I can't believe you thought he was serious when he said...." The first part is on the politicians, the second part is on us. The first part exists because of the second. Our standards in this country suck and it's reflected in the policies our representatives produce.

Tommy this isn't an either/or situation, just having a discussion. I can think Cummings did the worst and that Sanchez did the best among the Democrats and not advance the goppers at the same time.

That was not the tone of the article if you bothered to read it.

And among the points Cummings made which resonated with viewers:

Yeah Tim, Norv, it's a value judgement - to me talking about the "politics" of the issue instead of the facts and evidence to me detracts from what was already a bad process. That's especially where I fault Cummings and why I liked Sanchez, she buttressed Hillary's position by asking her to recount details, which by the way Hillary stayed focused as well. She did not run off into accusations and I don't think she needed Eli's hystrionic interference.

I disagree. The real problem is the political witch hunt, not the exposing it.

Not really, like I said it's a value judgement. To me the GOP saying "you're a lying liar, aren't you?", which happened a few times, is the equivalent.

It's odd how the accusation that information was put out for political reasons has been defended with an accusation that the accusation was made for political reasons, politically (again) in another political season.
