A lot of pokemon between my house and the voting booth.  Will collect pokemanz on the way to vote....but I won't be voting for Hillary

You're placing way too much importance on the VP pick.  They rarely move the needle much and Hillary isn't going to pull a McCain and tap a dullard.

How has Warren been splendid in taking Trump down? She calls him names and he responds. They both act like they are 10 years old.

The media loves Warren so that pick would get all sorts of excitement, but if it's a VP debate of Kaine vs. Pence, that may not be watched at all.

I don't think Kaine brings VA. Nobody votes for Kaine or Pence. Hillary does have a huge advantage on the map though.

 
The Democrat VP pick shouldn't be about the 2016 election, as that's likely in the bag.  They should use the VP slot with an eye toward 2024.  Give it to someone you consider a rising star (Latino a plus) and give them a protected platform for the next 8 years to build up some voter street cred.

While that didn't work out for the Republicans with Quayle, we live in a different time with a slavish pro-Democrat media to provide cover for any "potatoe" type gaffes.

With Hillary's unfavorables? Nothing is in the bag in November. She should focus on winning first. Opportunities for the rising stars will have to come along as they do,her campaign team can't worry about that now.

Agreed - I think Hillary is going to win, but you can't underestimate Trump (even though I am in this very sentence). She's not concerned with the next Democratic President in 8 years as she is about making a choice that helps her now. Personally, I don't think Kaine does much, but I'd probably say the same thing about every pick.

 
If this shooting in Munich is another mass shooting, Hillary may have to do what Trump did last week, and lay low for until tomorrow.

Was she planning on announcing today?

 
Sounds like it's going to be Kaine. Probably a good choice from the "gotta be comfortable working with" and "has to be able to be President" but he sure isn't going to get anyone too excited.

Kaine is ready to be POTUS if needed. He locks up an important swing state. 

But I'm not sure a single person is running in for the Pence Kaine debate. What a snooze.

- I was hoping Perez would move up to be the front runner. Don't know much about Kaine. Booker would be the "talk of the town" choice but I don't know how much he would add. Vilsack, no.

Even for a shtick account, it takes some kind of chutzpah to say that attacks in Munich and Paris "make it seem like America can't get anything done" and are therefore somehow good for the candidate who just two days ago threatened to skip out on our NATO obligations. Do you think people don't know where Munich and Paris are?

Strasburg had a crappy outing yesterday afternoon, Nats' lead in the NL East is down to 4.5 games.

Also the whole "bigoted lunatic accepts major party nomination for president and launches into a frightening hour long rant of demagoguery and intolerance" thing was a bit of a downer. 

Mostly the baseball though.

Hey dude David Duke announced a Senate run in LA. It's like some crappy sequel where the bad guy you saw riddled with bullet holes in the original is amazingly revived at the beginning of Part II. Count your blessings.

There are scummy people in every campaign. Rotten people. But when you post that stuff in THIS thread, the Hillary Clinton thread, you are implying that Hillary was somehow connected to this effort. Which, IMO, is highly unwarranted.

2. Was Bernie Sanders supposed atheism ever raised publicly? 

3. Would it have made any difference if it had been raised?

4. Yes the DNC wanted Hillary to win. Suppose they hadn't? Would that have made any difference?

Don't change the argument, you called out Saints because posting this in the Hillary thread because it implied Hillary might be involved in the DNC favoring Hillary.  You really have to have your head completely up your ### to not think Hillary's campaign was not acting in concert with the DNC.
