How much of this is her team and how much of this is because she's running against Trump? The biggest Hillary supporter I have ever seen ever even says this is more about Trump than anything else. The bar the US electorate has set is so far in the ground you need a metal detector to find it.I might argue the exact opposite. They have taken chicken ####, and made chicken salad.
Her team has taken the 2nd most unpopular candidate in modern history, and made her a prohibitive favorite. That is not easy to do - and if they don't cross the finish line in first, it will be down to the candidate, not the campaign.
Jeb Bush, Cruz, Rubio, and even Kasich were worse run campaigns - because had they beaten Trump in the primaries - they would be the prohibitive favorite right now.
That's good Sinn Fein! I get along with some of the sharpest people on these boards and people don't think very highly of Tim!Posts like these make me think you belong in Eminence's grouping in terms of your credibility.
None of his core beliefs are "because X isn't Trump"....none of them. That's why he's supporting her. It's not because they share ideals around Wall Street, proper trade, education, healthcare or money in politics. Those were the core beliefs of his platform and Hillary's actions (outside education to an extent and healthcare) are in complete opposition of one another.Lol. He is being true to his core beliefs by supporting Hillary.Bernie is not a great politician. He had a great message, and he would have been a better president than either Clinton or Trump. But, he did not know, and still does not know, how to win a national election.
One of the great ironies is that all the Clinton supporters who claimed Bernie would never be able to compromise, and yet here he is, compromising most of his long-standing beliefs to support Clinton ahead of Trump.
Why don't we look at the entirety of his life's work in politics and make that evaluation. That would include tomorrow's speech of course, but to cherry pick is, well, very Tim and completely disingenuous. Why don't we listen to him speak tomorrow night and then make that evaluation?...in her opposing Trump. Sanders is not supporting Hillary herself.
The public doesn't care about DWS or her glaring firing right before the convention. From Timmy's mouth. So this is all a yawnfest bro.If you watched any of the Sunday morning news shows, and I know you did, you know how weak this deflection is. But keep yawning.
'See you in Philly': Anti-Clinton protesters converging on Democratic convention
(CNN) Fueled by grievances over the party's treatment of Bernie Sanders and doubts over Hillary Clinton's progressive credentials, tens of thousands of protesters are poised to put a fragile post-primary detente to the test this week during the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
The latest New York Times/CBS News Poll found that nearly 7 in 10 voters don’t believe Clinton is honest and trustworthy (more than 6 in 10 feel the same way about Donald Trump). A like number say she did “something wrong” with her email. Her trust deficit -- fewer than 3 in 10 voters say she is honest and trustworthy -- may be her single greatest weakness heading into the fall campaign. And if she wins, it is a reality that would seem to presage a presidency of unusual secretiveness.
That's a good point. And since we've already had multiple bipartisan Congressional investigations into Benghazi, none of which found reason to charge Clinton with a crime...The email bull#### is peanuts compared to Benghazi.
Well all we can hope for is that either those numbers change before November or that she finds a way to win anyhow. Sinn Fein is dead wrong; the Commish is dead wrong. Anybody who believes that either Hillary and Trump are equally bad (or that Hillary is worse) is dead wrong. Anybody who doesn't realize the existential threat of a Trump presidency is dead wrong.
Throw it in the billion dollar kitty.Well all we can hope for is that either those numbers change before November or that she finds a way to win anyhow. This week I'm going to send money to Hillary's campaign and I'm going to continue to send as much as I can until the election is over. That's all I can do.
Bernie supporters should be concerned that Trump would rubber-stamp Republican proposals that would exacerbate our income and wealth distribution problems, create greater long-term stress to our environment, among other things. And, of course, the balance of the Supreme Court is at stake. None of this is silly.I am not now, nor ever, nor in the future going to support Trump.
But, I will never support Clinton. The Trump stuff is silly compared to the damage Clinton can/will do if she were elected.
The Trump stuff is mostly just raising thoughts/fears/concerns that far too many people have. Electing Clinton will not do away with that underlying current of hate that exists in our country. If Trump were elected, he would be equally opposed in congress by establishment politicians who want to keep the status quo. None of what he says will ever come to fruition. Maybe part of a wall, that he pays for.
Given how well Trump gets along with the GOP - I don't think he rubber stamps anything. And, I don't think the Dems let much through congress to actually be rubber stamped. And, I think the impact on the SC will be minimal in the next 4 years. All Bernie supports should be concerned that Trump would rubber-stamp Republican proposals that would exacerbate our income and wealth distribution problems, create greater long-term stress to our environment, among other things. And, of course, the balance of the Supreme Court is at stake. None of this is silly.
To be fair, nobody can really control the data once its in the ether. The DNC hack is bad for Hillary because it is again going to be slow rollout with the gradual disclosures of what's in the emails and again it plays into her major flaw, her honest/trustworthy number which is currently cratered at <30.
I'm really shocked the DNC could not control its data, it's so dumb.
This is an organization that thought it could simply lie about what it was secretly doing behind the scenes, without anyone ever going public about it. It shouldn't be a shock that the same organization thought their emails couldn't be hacked.I'm really shocked the DNC could not control its data, it's so dumb.
True, good point. This is an organization that thought it could simply lie about what it was secretly doing behind the scenes, without anyone ever going public about it. It shouldn't be a shock that the same organization thought their emails couldn't be hacked.
I think this the theme for the first night of the convention.the DNC has every right to pick sides, and also has every right to lie about it.
Should have happened in January. Won't change anything now.DWS stepping down.
He has no one to blame but himself. He should have stayed on message - and if that didn't line up with Hillary then so be it. But if you're going to campaign against political corruption and Wall Street influence all this time, and then endorse Hillary, I have absolutely no sympathy for him.Did you watch him this morning? Looks like a beaten down man, who has been castrated. If Hillary is Crooked Hillary, then Bernie is Cuckolded Bernie at this stage.
His core values, are the antithesis of Clinton Values.
Do you know her? A lot of Democrats aren't happy with her and haven't been for a long time.Shes s good person too.
Yeah, I felt kind of sorry for her when she plunged into Mount Doom too.I find this all pretty sad. I like Debbie; I don't think she did anything wrong. If Hillary wins in November, and if the Dems take back the Senate, it will be due in part to DWS' tremendous organizational and fundraising skills.
Shes s good person too. I suppose they had to do this to get the story out of the way (which it will) but IMO it's shameful.
Hillary just lost a major, important ally.I find this all pretty sad. I like Debbie; I don't think she did anything wrong. If Hillary wins in November, and if the Dems take back the Senate, it will be due in part to DWS' tremendous organizational and fundraising skills.

Hmmm. I wonder if this was planned from the moment Bernie started complaining about the DNC collaborating with Clinton? Maybe Clinton knew that the secret would eventually get out, so she told DWS to stay on the job so they could use her resignation as a bargaining chip with Bernie?DWS stepping down.
I don't know her personally but I know that she is best friends with Gabby Giffords and spent much time with her helping her rehabilitate. I also know that DWS has raised a lot of money for worthy charities in Florida. I think she's a good person.Do you know her? A lot of Democrats aren't happy with her and haven't been for a long time.
That's a tall order given she's spent 25 years earning her poor reputation.Well all we can hope for is that either those numbers change before November
Most recent of many scandals.First?
I wonder why - I keep hearing she did nothing wrong.DWS stepping down.
Tim's just trolling with this post. Not even difficult to tell. Poor effort. 3/10.I find this all pretty sad. I like Debbie; I don't think she did anything wrong. If Hillary wins in November, and if the Dems take back the Senate, it will be due in part to DWS' tremendous organizational and fundraising skills.

This is from an article in June:Hmmm. I wonder if this was planned from the moment Bernie started complaining about the DNC collaborating with Clinton? Maybe Clinton knew that the secret would eventually get out, so she told DWS to stay on the job so they could use her resignation as a bargaining chip with Bernie?
Of course, Bernie gave up without demanding DWS's resignation. But by that point, the emails had already been hacked -- so maybe Hillary told DWS to hang on a little longer so they could use her as a scapegoat once the emails leaked.
I realize that sounds a little Hammy, but still.....it would make perfect sense....
Huh? Prosecuted for what? The woman should be prosecuted for violating the most holy and sacred tenant of this country.
Jesus Christ, she didn't face a firing squad people. She stepping down from the chair of the DNC (now that her work there is done). I'm not exactly a gambler but I'd be willing to bet a gazillion dollars there MIGHT be a place for her in the Hillary administration. And by "might", I mean absofreakinglutely/Hillary just lost a major, important ally.
It's as if Tim is a robot, somehow brainwashed by the Hillary machine. JFC.I find this all pretty sad. I like Debbie; I don't think she did anything wrong. You would have been a bundle of fun at the Constitutional Convention.Undermining Democracy.Huh? Prosecuted for what?
Even the robot would realize what an awful, piece of crap human being she is by now. It's as if Tim is a robot, somehow brainwashed by the Hillary machine. JFC.
Yes there was. If you guys took like 5 seconds to actually look into it. The guy who posted that video also had other gems like the chick from Ghostbusters is actually a gorilla.Okay, enough already. JHC. There was nothing wrong with asking the question about a medical condition because what she did was so odd that a "medical condition" was absolutely in the realm of reason.
