I called out the credibility of someone who posted that Hillary Clinton is much more dangerous to this country than Donald Trump. I don't regard that as a credible statement.

Without all the help from the DNC and the media, Hillary likely gets seriously damaged in the primaries. Remember it was also the DNC that limited the debates this cycle (8 I believe) against the high 20s in the 2008 cycle. The DNC knew Hillary could be badly exposed in these debates. I think in the end they have just kicked the can a bit to the general election. I doubt this leak is the only thing to come out. Bloomberg reported that the Clinton Foundation email server was also compromised. I am pretty certain this story will be gaining momentum from now until the election.

How COULD you guys forget this? From the beginning of "this process is rigged for Hillary" talk, the scheduling and number of debates is all you've had. Even after these emails, it's STILL all you've got, because there is no evidence that the DNC actually did anything to sway the election.
I wish there had been more debates. But it didn't alter the nomination. Nothing the DNC did altered it. The reason that Brazile called it a coronation is because the moment Hillary entered the race, she was the overwhelming favorite. Not because of what the establishment wanted, but because of what the vast majority of voters wanted.

It'll be a lot tougher now. Hillary can defend Obama's record and say we are on the right track on jobs, immigration, and crime. I'm pretty certain that will result in President Trump. She and Obama could roll out new plans for these issues to convince voters to the give the democrats a third white house term, but they've let Trump take the lead on these issues so they will have some catching up to do but its not impossible yet and will require the democrats swallow some pride.

When the current President is 4x more favorable than Congress and twice as favorable as the last Republican president was at the same point in their terms, and the stock market is 7000 points higher than the last time a Republican was president, and the unemployment rate is 6% lower than the last time a Republican was president, then you can pretty much guarantee that Hillary won't be keeping quiet about those facts.
Sorry Riversco. I know it clashes with your reality, but the bottom line is that the general public approves of Obama more than it disapproves of him. The only people who consider him to be a liability are people who would never vote for him and would never give him any credit whatsoever for bringing the country out of the biggest recession since 1929.

Well, Hillary currently has about a 3/10 trust %, so whatever she talks about will likely be blown off. And as long as Trump talks about these email leaks he'll be harping on a "conspiracy" that was just proven true. I think Trump has the edge here.

It's pretty awful. Tim has repeatedly said it was a mistake and that he was working off of bad information. He regrets it and all. But, I read the original post. It was as awful as you would imagine it. I can't unread it.

My misinformation was that I was unaware of the quaaludes; I thought it was a case of consensual sex, and also that Polanski might have been unaware of the girl's age. At worse, I thought it was statutory rape, and while that is a crime worthy of punishment (as I stated) I didn't think it was worthy of lifelong condemnation.
My position changed when I learned about the drugs. That made it full blown rape, a vile act. The fact that I did not know about the drugs is my own fault; I should have looked it up before I offered my opinion from memory. I have apologized for that quote at least a dozen times; it is the worst thing I've ever written in this forum. But ever since it has been used by certain people here as a cudgel to defeat my opinion on a variety of subjects, which I think is pretty rotten as well.
