Grace Under Pressure

Louisiana is one of the most unique and finest places on the planet. The people are first rate, the culture is amazing. The place will be back stronger than ever, like usual. Geaux Tigers.
You sound like a bigot. He does have a point Saints. Six feet of water in the streets of Evangeline! How many times we gotta go through this with you guys?
Clearly she cannot make her own decision on what is right or wrong. And forget about accountability.Example of an excellent leader. " I did it because someone else told me I should".![]()
Why did she even bring it up if this is not a lame attempt to defend her bad judgement? That's not at all what the story says. It says that during the interview with the investigators she told them about a conversation in which Powell recommended private email servers. She never said it was his fault or he was to blame, she never intended for that interview to be public knowledge, and made no public statement that resembles "blaming" him at all.
Keep crying wolf, though. It's working out great so far.
Saints knows I'm just teasing him. I can't wait to visit New Orleans! You sound like a bigot.
Seriously, I was wondering what Hillary will do in the first 100 days if she wins. Any ideas, as you know her do well?Saints knows I'm just teasing him. I can't wait to visit New Orleans!
But perhaps I won't do it in the rainy season...
Look it's terrible what happened. I feel bad for everyone that lost their home or was affected. However, I said the same thing during Katrina and I'll say it now. The entire city is surrounded by water. And the city is lower than the water that surrounds it. It's just a bad idea and a disaster waiting to happen. And it also causes huge infrastructure problems on top of the ticking time bomb of flooding damage. I do think it's ironic Bush was criticized so much for doing nothing while Obama sits on a golf course all week and is basically given a free pass. But unless either one of them can raise the city +100 feet or change the laws of gravity I don't know what you expect them to do from a flooding prevention standpoint. How about remembering your countrymen, fellow patriot.
Obama has golfed with Larry David before and they're not at the same skill level.Look it's terrible what happened. I feel bad for everyone that lost their home or was affected. However, I said the same thing during Katrina and I'll say it now. The entire city is surrounded by water. And the city is lower than the water that surrounds it. Lord. So no it never happened. The smart thing for Hillary is to not call Powell a liar when asked about this, and don't complain about interview notes being released, just move on.
so she even lied in her FBI "interview"Where exactly is your glass house located?Look it's terrible what happened. I feel bad for everyone that lost their home or was affected. By that logic I guess we are all free to tell California to #### off after the next big earthquake. He does have a point Saints. Six feet of water in the streets of Evangeline! How many times we gotta go through this with you guys?
Yeah but there are no cool lyrics for you to quote when you do so.By that logic I guess we are all free to tell California to #### off after the next big earthquake.
This is a seriously stupid argument. You're literally saying that by not voting for Donald Trump -- by actively casting my vote for another candidate -- I'm somehow failing to reject Donald Trump. That's idiotic.Captain Cranks in the Trump thread has offered a great reason for everyone here who does not like Donald Trump to vote for Hillary Clinton: because the repudiation of everything Trump stands for needs to be as large as possible. I agree with this argument.
This is not fear mongering. Commish, NC Commish, Saints, those of you who are planning on voting for Gary Johnson, or Jill Stein, or sitting this one out- your vote isn't needed; she's going to win anyway. But the more votes she gets, the more Trump will be completely rejected and we can show the world we don't accept his ignorance and bigotry.
No it isn't. The media, the public, and the world will view the size of Trump's defeat by the size of Hillary's victory. These are the only numbers that will matter afterwards. This is a seriously stupid argument. You're literally saying that by not voting for Donald Trump -- by actively casting my vote for another candidate -- I'm somehow failing to reject Donald Trump. That's idiotic.
Yes, it really is an idiotic argument. No it isn't. The media, the public, and the world will view the size of Trump's defeat by the size of Hillary's victory. These are the only numbers that will matter afterwards.
Again, that's idiotic. If Trump gets 35% of the vote (say), that's a repudiation by any non-idiotic standard. No it isn't. The media, the public, and the world will view the size of Trump's defeat by the size of Hillary's victory. These are the only numbers that will matter afterwards.
Only by stupid people. The closer Clinton and Trump are the more it will be perceived as a "win" for Trump's movement.
That's how the media will present it as well. I don't want to spend the next decade trying to explain to people that Trump's loss was worse than it appeared. Trump needs to be decimated. He needs to be destroyed utterly. Vote for Hillary.Only by stupid people.
I agree with you - what mainly matters is Trump getting as few votes as possible. This is a seriously stupid argument. You're literally saying that by not voting for Donald Trump -- by actively casting my vote for another candidate -- I'm somehow failing to reject Donald Trump. That's idiotic.
classy Tim <_<He does have a point Saints. Six feet of water in the streets of Evangeline! How many times we gotta go through this with you guys?
Best repudiation would be Gary Johnson winning. No it isn't. The media, the public, and the world will view the size of Trump's defeat by the size of Hillary's victory. These are the only numbers that will matter afterwards.
You still completely misunderstand Trump and his unique danger to our society.Best repudiation would be Gary Johnson winning.
we not only need to repudiate Trump, we need to repudiate Hillary's war mongering and aggression against other countries around the globe. If we repudiate xenophobia and not militaristic aggression, then that is useless. 90% of Turkey, according to polls, believes that the United States is behind the failed coup; and why wouldn't they? Is that what we want to the world to beleive of us?
if we can keep trump and Hillary under 40, that would be a start. Get them both under 40 and we may see waves of defectors from evil head to the polls to vote Johnson.
You still completely misunderstand Hillary and Trump and his/her unique danger to our society.
As opposed to your level-headed analysis? You still completely misunderstand Trump and his unique danger to our society.
Bush had the impossible choice - show up and disrupt the efforts (exacerbated by so few cleared roads getting in), not show up at all, or do a reconnaissance from the air. He chose the latter, which, IMO was the right choice. I will say the Feds did much more than nothing. It took a bit to get organized, but once they did heaven and earth moved to NO.Look it's terrible what happened. I feel bad for everyone that lost their home or was affected. However, I said the same thing during Katrina and I'll say it now. The entire city is surrounded by water. And the city is lower than the water that surrounds it. If Trump got elected, he would never...Oh, I crack myself up sometimes. The way the president ages, Hillary will be a drooling Alzheimer's patient by the 4th year.
Seriously. It's why I can't stand "hold-your-nose" voters- you don't get to check a box saying "I'm not voting for this candidate, I'm voting against the other one". When Hillary destroys Trump, the Dems/DNC will obviously take that as vindication for not only their candidate but their tactics during this election, so why would they change anything in the future? If anything, they're going to double down since it worked so "well" this time around. Wasn't the LA governor telling him to stay away until he gives him the all clear? I think Edwards said the same to Hillary too.Bush had the impossible choice - show up and disrupt the efforts (exacerbated by so few cleared roads getting in), not show up at all, or do a reconnaissance from the air. He chose the latter, which, IMO was the right choice. I will say the Feds did much more than nothing. It took a bit to get organized, but once they did heaven and earth moved to NO.
Obama choosing golf over flood victims is, well, typical.
Um, but Trump is older than Hillary, so he should be drooling even more, according to that logic. The way the president ages, Hillary will be a drooling Alzheimer's patient by the 4th year.
And Trump has a history of Alzheimer's in his family.Um, but Trump is older than Hillary, so he should be drooling even more, according to that logic. The way the president ages, Hillary will be a drooling Alzheimer's patient by the 4th year.
Speaking of "typical" -- Ronald Reagan's typical crisis activity was horseback ridingBush had the impossible choice - show up and disrupt the efforts (exacerbated by so few cleared roads getting in), not show up at all, or do a reconnaissance from the air. He chose the latter, which, IMO was the right choice. I will say the Feds did much more than nothing. It took a bit to get organized, but once they did heaven and earth moved to NO.

I love the way Clintonites set the bar so high...Um, but Trump is older than Hillary, so he should be drooling even more, according to that logic.
Wasn't setting the bar, just pointing out the inconsistency in his argument.I love the way Clintonites set the bar so high...
This is a seriously stupid argument. You're literally saying that by not voting for Donald Trump -- by actively casting my vote for another candidate -- I'm somehow failing to reject Donald Trump. That's idiotic.
Welcome to backwards thinking of people knotted up in a cocoon of fear The only people that will view things in this manner are the simple thinkers who's opinion shouldn't be valued in the first place....especially with the electoral college in place. Why would we, as Americans, care what those sorts of people think? You're attempting to deploy a tactic grown ups use to try and form child behavior. "You better do X or everyone is going to think you're a weirdo". That's a position of weakness and lazy thinking. I won't do that with my kids, why would I do it with anyone else?No it isn't.
No scenario I will ever vote for Hillary. She's scum. That's how the media will present it as well. I don't want to spend the next decade trying to explain to people that Trump's loss was worse than it appeared. Trump needs to be decimated. He needs to be destroyed utterly. Vote for Hillary.
Considering your liberal/progressive point of view, we are shocked, shocked, to learn that!No scenario I will ever vote for Hillary. She's scum.
He's probably drooling alreadyUm, but Trump is older than Hillary, so he should be drooling even more, according to that logic.
I have quite a few intentional friends and yes, they view Trump as a joke. They also see Hillary's deficiencies and ties to colonialism and corruption. So that big Hillary win may very well satisfy your agenda, but it won't put the US back on any hill.No it isn't. The media, the public, and the world will view the size of Trump's defeat by the size of Hillary's victory. These are the only numbers that will matter afterwards.
Then again, when you act intellectually like government is your parent and they have shaped you accordingly to fall in line, well then...The only people that will view things in this manner are the simple thinkers who's opinion shouldn't be valued in the first place....especially with the electoral college in place. Why would we, as Americans, care what those sorts of people think? You're attempting to deploy a tactic grown ups use to try and form child behavior. What argument? I'm just stating what the old bag will look like. She's the one convulsing on camera, tripping all over the place and showing signs of dementia already. She's the one with the obvious health problems.Wasn't setting the bar, just pointing out the inconsistency in his argument.
There wasn't an argument made much less an inconsistent oneWasn't setting the bar, just pointing out the inconsistency in his argument.
