So we're basically trying to get this Kaine dude elected without facing the vetting process at this point?  Very little chance Hillary is healthy enough to actually assume the presidency.
HRC abdicates due to health, Kaine becomes Pres. Kaine names Bernie as VP. Kaine abdicates when it comes out that Kaine is a robot and robots are not allowed to run the country yet - Bernie becomes Pres. It's happening
one can dream :hifive:

Certainly a much better result than either Trump or Clinton ending up as president.

So if you were in charge of Hillary's campaign, would you spend any money on Georgia, Arizona, Texas or Utah? Would you squeeze in a visit by Hillary in any of those states over the next few weeks?

Or would you just assume that, despite the tight polling, in the end none of these 4 are going blue and it's better just to concentrate on the more traditional battlegrounds?
Should probably focus on standing up under her own power.

If Hillary wins and dies anytime after Congress validates the electoral votes (January 6th), then Kaine becomes president.

If Hillary wins and dies before January 6th, then Congress has a right to reject the electoral college and throw the vote to the House Of Representatives. The House would then be required to vote for one of the top 3 vote-getters. Presumably, that would mean that the Republican House would choose Trump (or Gary Johnson, if he finishes in 3rd).

However, if Hillary died before the Electoral College voted, then the Democratic Party could instruct their electors to vote for Kaine instead of Clinton. The House could still probably choose to ignore the electoral vote, but there would be immense public pressure for the House to vote for Kaine instead of Trump.
So we're going to have to worry about the horror of Trump being elected until Jan 6th?

the Hillary interview with Anderson Cooper tonight is a real piece of work.

- She wanted to 'power through'. Ya don't say, haven't heard that phrase.

- Cooper asked her how many times in the last 5 years has she had these episodes. Hillary - oh gosh just twice that I can recall...

- Hillary had no idea that people would be so interested in her health. She 'didn't think it would be that big a deal'.

- What a coinkydink - Chuckie Schumer told her at the memorial that he too had had pneumonia. Ain't that somethin'?

Probably the only person Trump has any chance of beating is zombie coma Hillary and even then he's still behind.

This is like a gift to Trumpettes and Clinton haters. Hillary won't quit unless she literally keels over, Trumpettes get some bit of hope, Clinton haters add another thing to their list.

It's like a wet dream for Hannity/Rush types.

Hillary gets interviewed and says "I can't recall" when asked how many dizzy spells she had :lmao:

that is making everyone feel much better about her health I'm sure.

I think everyone pretty much hates Hillary.  Even Democrats.  I would vote for a burning bag of #### over Clinton or Trump.

This is hilarious.  What's even more hilarious is the Hillary sycophants will be using "power through" in every one of their posts for the next 3 days and act like it's something they came up with on their own.  They're so easily led and fooled.

Sure enough!  Look at this. :lmao: :lmao:

Still waiting to figure out what great time Trump wants to return us to.  Does he want to go all the way back to slavery or will some Jim Crow do?

I don't see how people put her even close to the level of suckatude that is little donald. She's a big meh for most I think. If you take her policies isn't it pretty middle of the road stuff.

Her biggest flaw is working so hard.

I agree that Clinton is probably a worse bag of ####, but in the end they're both bags of ####.
The way I look at it is the media obviously lies. They will do whatever it takes to bring Trump down, so a lot of the reasons you think Trump is a bag of #### is just media manipulation for 90 percent of it.

The biggest example of this is when the media lied about Trump mocking a guy for being disabled when that wasn't the case.

Trump is actually a good guy who raised wonderful children and has a genuine love for America.

Is that a reflection on how bad of a candidate Trump is or how delusional Hillary supporters are?

Don't go bringing stuff in here about exposed lies.  None if that is important after the lie has been exposed.  The damage was done!

Who doesn't pay his workers, bankrupts and sues at the drop of hat, disrespects war heroes and public officials, is a horrible judge of character in his own campaign hires, refers to his opponents by 4th grade nicknames, lies, and believes our president is not an American citizen.  Other than this he's just swell.

But, the press has been taking Clinton to task for being less than forthcoming about her health. That doesn't fit your narrative. If they report that Trump's flunkies used to code rental apps C for colored as part of a systemic discriminatory pattern and was sued by the government TWICE, used to pull black employees off the casino floor, put out a full page ad to restore the death penalty for a high profile case involving minority youths that were later exonerated, and he failed to immediately distance himself from David Dukes, that isn't "bringing him down", it's just reporting. Are they admirable traits to you? Try and answer that without immediately jumping to, but, but Hillary, emails, Benghazi. If he is genuinely a good guy, you shouldn't need to dissemble, you can address the question in and of itself. If you have to deflect and use evasive tactics, there's your answer.

You keep saying this, but repeating it a bunch of times doesn't make it so. If he uses offensive body language/gestures to ridicule the able and disabled, whether they are or aren't, that doesn't make it any less offensive when he does it to the disabled. If he dropped to the ground, went into convulsions and foamed at the mouth in mocking an epileptic reporter, it wouldn't be OK just because he did it to non-epileptic reporters, too.

You don't think Trump INTENDED to mock the disabled reporter FOR his disability, but for being flustered, so you easily shrug off the fact that he certainly LOOKED disabled. In Pulp Fiction, John Travolta's character Vincent didn't INTEND to shoot Marvin in the face. So if intent is everything, no harm no foul? Small consolation to Marvin.

* Some serial killers may have great kids and love America, too, for all I know.

Cokie Roberts: Some Democrats "Nervously Beginning To Whisper" About Replacing Hillary

On NPR's Morning Edition on Monday, ABC News contributor and columnist Cokie Roberts said that Democrats are "nervously beginning to whisper" about what might happen if their nominee for president Hillary Clinton has to step aside for health reasons. "They have looked at what happens in that circumstance," she said.

COKIE ROBERTS: People are angry at the lack of transparency -- it was hours before the diagnosis of pneumonia was revealed -- after seeing this incredibly damaging video of her being helped and stumbling into this van.

Look: There's a reason why the campaign is not transparent. Obviously it gives Trump ammunition, and he has been setting this up for months. Back in January he said that she didn't have the strength and stamina to be president. And then he knew at some point in the campaign schedule, she, like all candidates would get exhausted. But the fact that it comes now, when the polls are tightening and Democrats were already saying that Hillary was the only candidate who could not beat Trump, and it’s taking her off of the campaign trail, cancelling her trip to California today. It has them very nervously beginning to whisper about her stepping aside and finding another candidate...

I think it’s unlikely to be a real thing. I’m sure it’s an overreaction about an already-skittish party, but you know, they have looked at what happens in that circumstance. The Democratic National Committee convenes the convention, and they vote.

Ironically the candidate everyone looks at is Joe Biden, who is even older than Hillary, and then again, so is Donald Trump.
