I'm not going to try arguing Hillary Clinton with you. We don't see eye to eye on her but that's fine, I'll even concede that a lot of what you wrote may have merit. The gist of my argument is:

1. A Donald Trump presidency would be a disaster for this country, far worse than the worst you can imagine from Hillary Clinton. Not only would it signal a reverse of so many progressive gains that, if I understand you correctly, are very important to you, it also threatens the very nature of who we are as a country, which is something that should be far more important to you and I than any specific issue. We cannot let this man take office, not if we love this country.

2. However we got here, Hillary Clinton is the only one now who can prevent Trump from being elected. I understand you would have preferred any other choice. FDR was forced to work with Stalin to defeat Hitler. (No, I am not comparing Hillary to Stalin or Trump to Hitler, but the analogy demonstrates that sometimes you have to work with what you have.)

3. You live in a battleground state. Like it or not, your vote is more important in this election than those of us who don't. If North Carolina goes Democrat, Trump will not be elected President. If it goes for Trump, he might be. Your responsibility is grave here.

It isn't on me. I didn't rig the system to get the most disliked Democrat in the country as the candidate. If Trump wins, the DNC should take a long look in the mirror.

All I've seen on this is speculation, no definitive proof that he was actually going to advocate for privatizing SS.  If you have evidence, I'd love to see it.  I find it difficult to believe since he would have needed a lot of Democratic support for it.

I understand and respect your decision re: your vote. If Trump were slightly less horrifying, I'd be right there with you. But the "rigged primary" schtick is BS. The voters preferred Hillary very clearly, and the fact that the playing field was slanted shouldn't be surprising, considering that Sanders really isn't even a member of the Party. Nor was it decisive in any way. For all of her flaws, Hillary got the most votes in the primary, by far.

The head of the DNC was fired for it. It was part of the reason Bernie lost and it is emblematic of the problem with our system.

As much as the DNC tried to rig the game, it was the people who voted.  People deserve the government they get - and you'll deserve Trump if he wins.

I voted for Bernie, phone-banked for him, and gave him some pretty good sized donations. I'm still hugely disappointed that he lost, and we also probably pretty much agree on what Hillary is and what she's likely to do once she is in office. 

All that said, at the end of the day, she got almost 4 million more votes than did Bernie.

 
Glad to see we have circled back to blaming all the people that voted for people other than Trump or Clinton for Trump and Clinton as the options....awesome.

IMO if the TPP reaches Hillary in any shape or form she will sign it. I don't think she has any serious internal objection to it.

According to Breitbart, Savage was taken off air from New York powerhouse WABC. He said that due to the Hillary Clinton incident, he was now being replaced by Curtis Sliwa and Ron Kuby, hosts of the afternoon show “Curtis & Kuby.”

On his nationally syndicated The Savage Nation radio program, Savage was talking about Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s health. During the discussion, he suggested that she might have Parkinson’s disease.

Exactly during that moment, Savage was alerted about his show being taken off from the air on New York’s WABC radio.

According to Infowars, The Savage Nation was the second most listened-to talk show in the country. It had an audience of over 20 million listeners across the United States.

Every scientific poll we’ve encountered so far suggests that voters thought Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump in Monday night’s debate. In fact, some of them showed her winning by a wide margin — wide enough to make it a good bet (though not a guarantee) that she’ll gain in horse-race polls against Trump over the next week or so.

But so far, we’ve seen just two polls released that tested Clinton’s standing against Trump after the debate. They have pretty good news for Clinton, but I’d recommend some caution until we get more data.

The first poll is from Morning Consult, which shows Clinton leading by 3 percentage points in a matchup that includes third-party candidates — that’s a 4-point swing toward Clinton from the 1-point Trump lead that Morning Consult showed before the debate. In a head-to-head matchup against Trump, Clinton leads by 4 points, up from a 2-point lead before the debate.

The other survey is from Echelon Insights, and it shows Clinton leading Trump by 5 percentage points. In theory, that would be consistent with a bounce for Clinton, since she led Trump by just 1 to 2 points overall before the debate, based on FiveThirtyEight’s projection. But it’s hard to know for sure because Echelon has surveyed the race only once before — just after the Republican convention, when they showed Clinton leading Trump by 1 point. [...]

Overall, there are some tentatively positive signs for Clinton — but not more than that, yet. At the moment, our polls-only model shows Clinton with a 58 percent chance of winning; polls-plus shows her with a 56 percent chance. But our forecast models don’t make any special assumptions about the debate, and they’ll take several days to catch up to whatever impact it has or hasn’t had. Comey hits back at the charlatans in the house

Gowdy especially is a galling individual.  Comey explained again how his FBI ran the Clinton email investigations in a professional and thorough manner and still he and his bureau are slandered for the entertainment of the non-performing reps who apparently don't have any real work to do, like maybe passing a spending resolution by Friday.

He added that had there been a different Republican nominee, Wednesday morning's paper may have had a different headline.

"This might have been a different decision," he said, "if Republicans had elected Marco Rubio or Jeb Bush, responsible Republican men. You really only have two choices that are viable. The Republican and the Democrat and both of them have tremendous flaws. I mean we are very concerned about what Hillary Clinton did with her emails. That shows recklessness and that gives us concern, but it is nothing compared to the sins of Donald Trump."

DWS wasn't fired for rigging the primary, she was fired because the public found out she rigged the primary when emails were leaked.  It was a coordinated effort by many Democratic leaders.

I am sure Hillary is hoping he brings it up in the next debate and will be lying in wait with her response. Talking about Bill's infidelities and blaming Hillary for it will be a big loser for him among women voters.  Bring it on Donald! :popcorn:

Not sure I agree with your assessment.  Hillary is painting Trump as a misogynist and that makes her decisions regarding Bill's outside sexual encounters fair game.  It's one thing if Hillary decided to stand by her man after a innocent fling or two but the reported pattern of behavior by Bill is anything but innocent, particularly where it pertains to Broderick.  Add in the allegations that Bill was a serial womanizer from college through possibly today and Donald can paint Hillary as an old school partner who decided to not only look the other way but to smear the bimbos while riding Bill's coattails.  I can see this being a divisive issue for Clinton more so than Trump.

Trump didn't bring it up because it was probably the one thing he listened to his advisors about, bashing a woman for her husband's infidelities is a big loser among women voters

Perhaps I am wrong, but I am hoping Trump goes after her on this in the next debate. I believe that Hillary and her team feel the same way, otherwise she wouldn't have brought up his treatment of Miss Universe at the end of the debate - she wanted to goad him into attacking her over Bill's affairs. The Clinton camp is locked and loaded and are crossing their fingers Trump walks across the tiger trap.

All he needs to say is did you publically repudiate close Clinton-advisor James Carville when he made his Trailer Park comment...if not why?  Was there a Bimbo Eruptions Unit during Bill's Administration?  While I think he should address this head-on he can also do it by posing these type of "softer" questions and putting her on the spot...Hill is taking the gloves off so everything is fair game from now on...

There's no gotcha on Hillary - he tried emails and TPP but got no traction.  He'll need to win it on policy and we all know that isn't going to happen.

Agreed.

Here's the thing that we learned in the 90s- women will NEVER blame Hillary for Bill's affairs, because she was the victim. Conservatives have been trying for 20 years to discuss how Hillary called these women bimbos and scorned them, but nobody except conservatives have ever bought into it. If Trump tries to bring this up, it will only solidify Hillary's support among suburban women. Conway must know this, even if Trump does not.

That's not a winning tactic with women as none that I have talked to think bad of her for staying with Bill despite the cheating.  If anything it will make them feel more empathy for her.

Yeah, my wife considers most of Bill's "partners" hoes and floozies for messing with a married man and considers the Hillary/Bill situation a family affair but I wonder if the Broderick case will resonate more because of the unseemly predatory nature of it all.  If not, then it's a losing tactic by a losing candidate.

There is a real kernel of an actual substantive issue dealing with Bill's woman addiction and Hillary's enabling and the dysfunctional and twisted toxic relationship they made with Congressional Republicans in the 90s while making the most conservative agenda together maybe since the 20s... and how that led to Bush and how that led to other problems down the road and why woudl we want to return to all that ... but Trump's capacity to formulate this like everything else is absolutely nil.

Signed an affidavit declaring the allegations were untrue.

During the 1992 Presidential campaign there were unfounded rumors and stories circulated that Mr. Clinton had made unwelcome sexual advances toward me in the late seventies. Newspaper and tabloid reporters hounded me and my family, seeking corroboration of these tales. I repeatedly denied the allegations and requested that my family's privacy be respected. These allegations are untrue and I had hoped that they would no longer haunt me, or cause further disruption to my family.

Not a chance in hell Trump can possibly string together a somewhat complicated thought like that.  He will probably be able to say "Bill was the worst" and "Cheating is really not good."
