I hate when people make me defend people I don't like. He was very much looming behind her. It was really creepy. And given what had come out the leap to stalking was easy to make. I did. Let's not pretend about Trump because we don't like Hillary.
Ok NCC I can't fight the sheriff. I concede the point.

So on the debate the question isn't how men saw it. Every woman I know was texting me during the debate about Trump menacing Hillary during the debate. Not because a campaign said it but because they saw it and felt it. Reminded them of scary guys.

I don't know what the motivation was - intimidation, maybe just making sure his presence was visible in every shot - but he was definitely following her around.

My favorite shot is where it looks like he is screwing the chair. He's like a toddler with ADD. Can't sit still or pay attention.

Emails show '08 Clinton camp probed Obama vulnerability on Muslim father, cocaine use
"Emails show '16 Cruz/Kasich/Rubio/Bush/Carson/Christie/Paul/Fiorina/Huckabee/Gilmore/Santorum/Perry/Walker/Jindal/Graham/Pataki camps did not probe Trump vulnerability on anything"

Forget who is saying it - did you think it was creepy how he followed her around the stage when she spoke?
From what I saw, it looked like he mostly stood by his chair when it wasn't his turn to talk, and stood in the middle of the stage when he answered a question.  It looked more like Hillary kept walking to be over by him/his side if she was addressing a question from someone on that side of the stage.

I thought the whole thing was rather innocuous myself, and it seems like hullabaloo is meant as more of a distraction than about a real issue.

Pretty much summarizes everything.

:lmao:

Even if we grant that Trump being a slimy POS creeper and rapist is just a "distraction," what exactly is it distracting us from other than the fact that he has absolutely nothing to offer in terms of any serious policy proposals? His entire candidacy is just a bad joke. As bad as the focus on character is for him, a focus on the issues is way, way, WAY worse for him.

Oh yeah, I forgot, The WallTM...  :lmao:

Everyone says that Hillary in the last few weeks should have a positive message- emphasize her "Stronger Together" message or Michelle's "We go high" quote. I agree. I think she should borrow a page from Bernie's "America" commercial- that was, IMO, the best commercial of this election cycle.

Back in the 80s, I remember the Democratic party used Crosby Stills & Nash's "Teach Your Children" as their theme song. No reason she couldn't go back to that.

She should, for sure, refrain from stooping any longer. She shouldn't be the anti-Trump messenger anymore, that's what the surrogates are for. She needs to focus on reasons why people should vote for her. I still hear her saying Trump said this and that. Frankly, the campaign is running textbook stuff wrong in some cases and getting away with it.

She can do literally whatever she wants from here on out Tim. It doesn't matter; Trump is completely off of the deep end -- he's spinning some bat$hit crazy conspiracy theory about the Jewish-Mexican-Clinton cabal being behind the sexual assault stuff and lashing out at Paul Ryan.

You're right...there is absolutely nothing going on in this election that is more important than Trump's stage presence.  Silly me.

Such a hypocritical party. Bill gets a consensual blow job and doesn't have the morals to be President. Trump assaults a lot of women and it's all good.

Reading comprehension not a strength I see, eh MENSA-guy? I was pointing out that his actual ideas on everything from the economy to foreign policy are actually even worse than the raping he seems to do regularly.

She may win but she has to address the division in this country and address mainstream concerns.   If her first act is an Executive Order on gun control she's not getting any cooperation.  The name calling and bashing of "rednecks," "deplorables," white people in general, Catholics, etc. by her and her surrogates needs to be toned down.

She doesn't have a mandate.  The other candidate imploded.

You're flip-flopping on what you are/aren't trying to say so fast that I can feel the breeze from here.

She's not going to take your guns away, dude. How many times are you going to fall for that before you figure it out?

She may not, but her court appointments will.
No they won't. You might need to register them more thoroughly or get a license but no one wants to take them away from you. Unless you are a felon, or convicted of domestic violence, on a terror watch list, or a few other obvious precursors.

If she wants to get anything substantial done in office she needs to carry the Senate and make inroads in the House. That should be the priority at this point.

The DNC money has been shifted in that direction since the first debate from everything I've read. Of course, so has the RNC money, they've known that Trump had no chance for a while now. Early totals on the numbers of mail in ballots from registered party members look really discouraging for the right too, this might be shaping up to be a wave election.

Please. That isn't going to happen. Hillary has never suggested she would do anything of the sort. Russ Feingold suggested that at a private fund raiser that she "might" do that, but there is no evidence that he was speaking on behalf of Hillary or that she has communicated that to him.

Wasn't  Obama supposed to ban/seize all guns several times too? How many times did they predict that?

Clinton was a sexual predator as well, which was one of a few reasons why he didn't have the moral standing to be President.

But you are right that Trump is clearly disqualified under that standard too.

I have no interest in defending Bill. He's a liar and definitely has a sex problem. I just find it ridiculous that the alleged family values party and it's Evangelicals seem largely OK with Trump.

From a DKos Diary:

Neil deGrasse Tyson and J.K. Rowling combine for a one two Twitter punch of Donald Trump

Earlier today, the well-liked Neil deGrasse Tyson threw out a hypothetical question to the Twitterverse as he often does.

Neil deGrasse TysonVerified account @neiltyson 7h7 hours ago

If a Space Alien landed in the USA & requested: "Take me to your leader",

I wonder how Pres Trump would react vs Pres Clinton
Responding to him via Twitter was the equally loved J.K. Rowling.

Afraid we need to know whether the alien has breasts before we can answer.
Kaboom.

I don't follow the whole email thing that closely. Has a timeline been confirmed about if the emails were wiped before or after the subpoena?

Anyone else have FB friends passing off the Alec Baldwin phone call rant at his daughter as being Tim Kaine? Seen it a few times since yesterday.

of course he doesn't
Asked you this in the Trump thread but perhaps you missed it:

As the father of a teenage girl, how do you feel about Trump barging in the dressing room of The Miss Teen USA contestants who were half naked or fully naked (with some being as young as 15)? How would you feel if your daughter was in such a pageant and this happened to her?

For a Trump supporter, is that behavior acceptable to you?
