I don't think that's accurate. I have said that she's a thousand time better than Trump, but even that is hyperbole. Fully taking into account how horrifying Trump is, my best estimate is that Hillary is realistically only about twenty-three times better than him. I could be off by an order of magnitude in either direction, but a billion times is well outside the margin of error.

All these people can take their arrogant bull#### and shove it. Maher too. It's not that I don't know enough about Hillary it's that I know too much and that they ignore too much. Electing this corrupted politician doesn't make you an adult or smart or cool. it just makes you part of the ####### problem. One thing about this election it's really making me dislike a lot of people.

 
Haven't read this thread for a couple hours as I watched the Cubs pull out a victory. Never been a fan but it's a good feeling watching them win.

Some of you guys are pretty damn nasty.

Funny I had a similar response, just not so colorful. Those of us not supporting the top of either party's ticket are ###holes? I'm not big on name calling, but I think if you're fervently supporting either of these characters, well shame on you.

I didn't want to ignore this but that seems like a lot of writing and doing so would just be too much effort. Briefly, Weinberger had been indicted five times already that year. Five times. Indicted. By a special prosecutor with impeccable republican credentials. It was pretty mild as violations go. I think July 5th was closer to a violation because Comey again had no business making the announcement he made based on what we now know was not then or ever a completed investigation. He's not a special prosecutor. He's the director of the FBI. He's not indicting the publisher of Forbes (Weinberger's job at the time). He's raising ambiguous issues directly against one of the candidates. These are not comparable. Not even close. Removing him isn't political. It is the actual penalty for the law he broke.

I'll check in Weinberger but 4 days before is a lot closer to election than 2 weeks and his indictment was dismissed just a month later because it was outside the statute of limitations, which is a simple matter of looking at a calendar.

And the reason it was left to Comey on July 5th and why it's left to him now is that Lynch RECUSED herself.... because she had tainted the process by meeting with Bill Clinton.

Lynch is still recused, nothing has changed, her part in this is still tainted.

ETA - Btw Nixon attempted to remove the special prosecutor in his case. The problem here is it affects Hilllary. I'm sure she will dismiss Comey also but I don't think that will solve her problems.

If she manages to hold on and win.  I think Ol Donnie may have the same fate waiting. He is going to trial after all something that isn't guaranteed for Hillary. They impeach him they get Pence. And Pence is the really dangerous one on that ticket.

If I'm the Dems in the House I don't impeach Trump.  I let things go to hell and force the GOP to do it.

If Weinberger was a candidate, checking in on my comments would be great, but he was working at Forbes. They don't compare. And 4 days seems less damaging than two weeks. Have you seen the trend? Hillary was a lock at the 4 day mark. Two weeks is a helluva rocky ride. Again, indictments seem far more newsworthy than "we got mail". It wasn't left to Comey on July 5th to call Clinton "extremely careless". What was the purpose there? Why go on about there being "evidence of violation of statutes". You gotta a case or don't. He attacked Hillary in July. He didn't help her. He incited her opposition with unnecessary, unprecedented critique. The narrative that he pissed off the right before he pissed off the left is false. He pissed off everybody in July and became an alt right hero in October.

The purpose of Comey calling Hillary 'extremely careless' was to explain why he did not indict Hillary dispite a mountain of evidence.

If Lynch had actually recused herself, that would be one thing.  She did so in a publicity, damage control, cosmetic sense.  But, she was still the final arbiter.  She just said she'd accept the FBI's recommendations, which is easy to do when you are glad to carry out those recommendations.  But, if Comey had said indict...well, I'm not so sure her recusal-non-recusal-ish-sort-of status would have lasted very long.  She would have pushed back.

A few different PA polls conducted post-Comey announcement show the race tightening there...Clinton's lead down to 2 or 4 points depending on the poll.

 
####### Hillary.  ####### Hillary fanboys.  Put the fate of the country on the belief in magic and fairy tales.  And they're the ones looking down on the "uneducated" when they themselves can't even see--or worse, deliberately refuse to see--the obvious

He isn't independent here. Maybe hard to swallow if you're a fan, but he overstepped. The idea he would have caught hell later is a poor defense in lieu of the Hatch Act. He very simply could have manned up and explained we don't influence elections. That is the decision of an independent FBI Director. His decision influenced the election. He should be removed.

Could it be that what they found/uncovered is so bad that he had no choice but to come out with his letter so close to the election? Just a thought. 

 
Trumps gaining momentum just at the right time. May not be time left to swing back the other way. Elections been full of swings back and forth like this but he may end on a high.

In addition for my disdain for the DNC for picking Hillary, her teams job has been AWFUL in terms of positioning and branding her campaign.  

IMO, ONE thing had to be done by Hillary to have broken through the negativity was to humanize herself.  Whether it was more focus on her and family, her early years literally risking wellbeing working on civil rights in the South, just more interviews like between two ferns.

Instead, she continually retreats which only reinforces the worst caricatures of herself, makes her seem all the more distant, aloof and "above" the rest of us.  Combined with playing prevent defense... which FURTHER reinforces this same issue... her team let the opposition paint her picture, without even so much as trying to take control of the brush.

Curious if there is a somewhat unbiased poll out there anyone has a link to that can show where things are after email gate or is it so close to election there is no way to tell just show up and vote and get ready for riots?

It is a caricature and its a disingenuous disservice to our nation and it's resources.  I bought into that same picture, painted by the hard right, and accepted and forwarded even by many on the left.  

Doesn't make it true.   Surprised how many buy into the image that was created to achieve this very aim (including myself, upon realizing that I was buying into the negative hype, and actually forwarding it as well... doesn't mean I like her, nor that I will vote for her. But I did take a step back and gain a different perspective).

That said, my whole point is that Hillary's camp let this happened, and never really took the offensive in terms of promoting a different image.  Even if you do buy into / agree with the worst portrayals of her, you have to admit her team has done just an awful job trying to change the conversation or at least its tone.
