A lot of people come in here to shoot the messenger.  A main political figure is having a #spiritcooking dinner party.  Stop trying to rationalize this crazy stuff.  That's weird guys.  That's really weird.  I'm pretty sure this isn't just some upper class, artistic dinner party.

I saw this.

Using domain name registration records and online searches, BuzzFeed News identified over 100 active US politics websites being run from Veles. The largest of these sites have Facebook pages that boast hundreds of thousands of followers.

BuzzFeed News also identified another 40 US politics domains registered by people in Veles that are no longer active. (An April report from the Macedonian website Meta.mk identified six pro-Trump sites being run from Veles. A Guardian report identified 150 politics sites.)

The article says its financial but there is also a lot of pro-Putin support in Macedonia because of the Slavic connection.

Tim is probably right.  Despite wikileaks having a perfect track record, this is going to be hard for people to accept.  Just look at the people here immediately writing it off as normal... :loco:

Yea but it is only a "story" because something apolitical was illegally obtained and then infowars spins it to their mentally ill following. The people getting worked up by this are bobby jindal types.

Just a coincidence they pick the most absolutely craziest "performance artist" to have dinner with.  Not Adele, JayZ, David Blain, Miley Cyrus, or any other "artist" on the planet.  No...  They pick a witch.

 
If Hillary herself had attended the dinner, then at least we'd have an interesting story. IMO, it still wouldn't change any votes (the people who are offended by this sort of thing are not voting for a Democrat, period) but at least it would be newsworthy.

But what percentage of the public even knows who John Podesta is? And BTW, that's the problem with most of this Wikileaks stuff.

 
Now I am curious about the "spirit meal" cookbook. Sounds like with all these liquids it would be a perfect meal prepared in  a pressure cooker or crockpot.

This Spirit Cooking stuff is exactly the type of thing that derails legitimate issues that are deeply disturbing about Hillary.  It is the very definition of insanity that a certain segment of conservatives continually latch on to tangential stories related to Clinton like this that at the end of the day distract and allow a lot of people to tune out the really key items (Foundation concerns, status of FBI investigations) that are worthy of discussing related to Hillary's fitness to be President.  It is the boy that cried wolf.

U.S. Senator Tom Carper, a Democrat on the Senate Homeland Security Committee, has referred one of the documents to the FBI for investigation on the grounds that his name and stationery were forged to appear authentic, some of the sources who had knowledge of that discussion said.

In the letter identified as fake, Carper is quoted as writing to Clinton, “We will not let you lose this election,” a person who saw the document told Reuters.

The fake Carper letter, which was described to Reuters, is one of several documents presented to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Department of Justice for review in recent weeks, the sources said.

Fwiw I've read about maybe a couple of these, they have been in the non-email documents. I saw one that had a list of recipients of money which was definitely bogus and maybe one other out there. Disinformation is a real possibility.

 
Hearing from a source that FBI will deliver indictment recommendation via national television and radio announcement the morning of Nov. 8.

My reading comp might be compromised by screaming 9-week old, but...are these docs necessarily from Wiki?  There are a lot of "documents" floating out there on Reddit and elsewhere that are clear forgeries/fakes, but not distributed by Wiki.

This is a good point, the document I was talking about earlier was from Guccifur2, there is at least one other site out there dropping stuff. To my knowledge Wikileaks has been clean to date.

Can someone hack Trump's email? I have suspicion that he was given classified information.

During the debate, Trump called Hillary the devil. How did he know this without having pre-access to this email?

Most of us haven't been emailing the artist who actually etched the pages of Spirit Cooking.  

 
If I recall correctly, back in her first Senate campaign Hillary came to the defense of Robert Mapplethorpe, an artist who the right was always going on about.

Don't think anyone thinks it is necessarily normal, but we all do weird ####.  And weird #### that we do in the privacy of our home shouldn't matter all that much.

By all means, run with it but don't have a surprised Charlie Brown look on your face come Tuesday night with Lucy pulls the ball away at the last second and Hillary is our new President.  I don't want Trump to win and I don't want Hillary to win so I consider myself ####ed no matter what next week.  I'm simply telling you as someone who doesn't belong to either of the major two parties, this stuff isn't going to move the needle in the election. In fact, it is exactly these odd ball items that conservatives yell and scream about that causes people to ignore them when there are legitimate issues about Hillary to discuss.

I've never heard about spirit cooking, sounds really messed up to me but it seems like this artist is certainly an accomplished person.  Very weird but the fact that someone on Hillary's campaign attended a bizarre dinner is supposed to be a legitimate reason that Hillary shouldn't be President?  If the answer is no than this is just noise that serves to distract from the real issues we should discuss.
