Premiers Sunday the 14th on AMC.

I saw promos but haven't seen a review. Its up my alley so I'll give it a shot.

Premise is alternate present with incredibly lifelike synthetic robots living amongst us.

It looks like a direct rip of Asimov, so I am in.

Actually the direct rip of a Swedish TV show, which gives me some pause. I question Swedish taste (and their chefs flur du flur dur flur)

AMC has done fairly well with their Sunday night shows though, so that gives me some hope. Also, its only 8 episodes, so hopefully its tight and focused.

The dad is setting himself up for a divorce with his wife (slipped the +18 adult packet in his pocket).

Tons of upside with this show, but it will only be an 8 series season this year.

Stupid Optimum on demand has already dumped the pilot from their available list of shows so I'm probably out on season 1 until it shows up on amazon or netflix. This is the at least the 4th show I haven't watched because of that reason. So dumb.

The family and the dad, to a certain extent, anthropomorphize the robot. It be ones a bit gray there. The reality is that it's a robot, but there's a part of the brain that's anthropomorphizing and gettting off on that...

Been binge watching this. Through the first six episodes and really enjoying it. Love me some Anita. She'd be a mass of blue fluids by the time I was finished with her.

The only character I can't stand is the guy who plays Pete. His acting is way over the top IMO.
